Hello all, today I am going to share with you my experience with Gia Bath & Body Works soaps. You must be familiar with the brand name for these soaps have created quite a buzz around, if you haven’t heard about this brand then let me tell you. Gia Bath and Body works is a venture pioneered by Mrs. Gayatri Brown. The soaps she makes are handcrafted and natural, or as they say- “Handcrafted with love”. These soaps are luxurious in terms of their designs, ingredients and effect.  People are raving about it not only because these are somewhat unconventional and out of the box but also because these are perfectly effective for the skin without any kind of side-effect. I would say these are not just soaps, these are arts.
Price: Rs250/– Rs280/-

It is a few months ago when I received a package from Gayatri, packed with three beautiful soaps. The moment I opened the parcel, a whiff blew my mind and my heart away. The aroma that the box contained was out of this world! The parcel contained three of their soaps- Mocha Crème Body Polishing Bar, Charcoal & Cream and Blossom. The three soaps were full of three different magnificent aromas. I am briefly discussing about these soaps-

Gia Bath & Body Works Luxury Handmade Soaps Experience and Review| Treats for your Skin

1. Mocha Crème Body Polishing Bar: This one smells so delicious that you might end up eating it (Not going to lie, I almost did it). I had no idea a soap could smell so yummy. Its aroma is just similar to that of a chocolate cake’s and to some extent it smells like coffee and dark chocolate. Oh, I am confused! It looks like a piece of chocolate pastry with cream on the top and coco powder sprinkled on it. This particular soap is full of scrubbing granules thus it is efficient for cleansing as well as for exfoliating. This soap had made my bath exotic and heavenly. Ingredients such as Shea butter and Cocoa butter help in keeping the skin soft, supple and moisturized even though you are using a soap. I have normal skin and this soap did not cause any trouble to it. I did not experience any dryness or irritation.
Ingredients of Mocha Crème Soap: Liquid Silk, Cocoa Powder, Dark forest coffee grounds, Fresh Cream, Milk, Cocoa Butter, Virgin Olive Oil, Castor Bean Oil, Virgin Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Distilled water, Fragrance/Essential Oil Blend.

2. Charcoal & Cream: This is another amazing soap from Gia Bath & Body Works. This one smells divine as well. You can definitely feel how natural it is by smelling it. The smell somehow reminded me of the Naked Potion Lotion by Lisa Haydon that I had finished earlier this year and that’s great because I loved it. One thing that you can’t avoid is its stunning design. This surely shows how dedicated the maker is to her work. This is how a handmade, artisan soap should look like. This soap also did not cause any type of irritation to my skin rather it nourished it from within.
Ingredients of Charcoal & Cream Soap: Liquid silk, Fresh Cream, Activated charcoal, Milk, Cocoa butter, Virgin Olive oil, Castor Bean oil, Virgin Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Distilled water, Fragrance/Essential oil blend.

3. Blossom: If you are a floral scent lover, then you must get this soap. It smells so fresh, so floral and absolutely non-chemically. The soap looks really exotic with a few colourful specks on it that resembles scattered flower petals. This particular soap has a lot of ingredients (oils and butters) which restore the lost moisture and eliminate any dryness. Again this does not cause any irritation. At least for me, it didn’t.
Ingredients of Blossom Soap: Shea butter, Olive oil, Goats milk, Cocoa butter, Rice bran oil, Coconut oil, Oats cream, Sodium Hydroxide, Colorant, Aqua, Fragrance/Essential oil blend.
In today’s life, everybody is concerned about their skin, specially women. No one takes any chance when it comes to choosing skincare, makeup or bath and body products. In this situation, if a brand provides you the best products which at the same time are vegan, natural and chemical-free then no one can restrain themselves from trying these beauties. The price might be quite high but if you have used it then you would know that these soaps are worth the price. These are handmade, made with high quality handpicked natural ingredients, they look extremely exotic and they last really long. I don’t mind spending for the products that are full of the above mentioned qualities. The regular soaps comes in a great quantity so I make sure to cut them in halves and then use one half at time. I never was a soap-lover, I used to use shower gels and creams but Gia Bath & Body Works has completely changed my idea of soaps. I have ordered a couple of soaps afterwards and loving them. I will review them as soon as I finish them. I wish to order their cupcake soaps and cake soaps next. They also have a range of body butters, skin polishes and shower gels. If you have not tried them, do it now. You can contact Gayatri through their FacebookPage.

Hello all! I hope you all are doing great because summer has started to fade out and monsoon has come! In Bengal, it’s raining most of the time, sometimes in torrents and sometimes it is drizzling only. Talking about monsoon, I remember that my hair acts extremely bad during monsoon. I have very week roots resulting in severe hair-fall and during monsoons it becomes excessive. Every time I comb my hair I feel like all my hair has come to my hand. It’s not only bad to see, but also it’s very depressing.  But this monsoon, something unusual has happened. Keep reading to know more-

I think it was the month of June, when I received a hair-oil from Lancy (She is the maker and manufacturer of this oil. Lancy has a beautiful blog named Makeup And Beauty Home). I had also posted a picture on Instagram. She wanted me to review it. I usually worry about trying any new skincare of haircare product, for I always think ‘what if it breaks me out noxiously or what if it makes me bald?’ But when I google-searched the MABH Herbals Fast Growth Hair Oil, I found a lot of positive reviews about me. I also searched on Lancy’s blog and got to know that this hair oil is absolutely herbal devoid of any chemical substance. Moreover, it was written on the packaging that it is meant to be speed up hair growth and control hair-fall, what more I would have asked for?

Pamper Your Hair with MABH Fast Growth Hair Oil| Review
As soon as the product reached me I decided to try it for a month or more before delivering my final thoughts. I have been using it for one and a half months now and I think I am now enough experienced to give my ‘expert opinion’ 😉 During the entire testing period, I used it every alternate night just before going to sleep as I love to apply oils in this way only. I applied it onto my scalp by gently massaging it to the scalp. I wiped the rest of the oil that was on my hands on the top portion of my hair. I then covered my hair with a soft cotton cloth so that I don’t stain my pillow covers.

Pamper Your Hair with MABH Fast Growth Hair Oil| Review
My Experience: I have already said here that I have severe hail-fall problem along with terrible dandruff problem. I am not a person who oils her hair religiously, but this time it has opened my eyes. I can’t tell you how smooth my hair feels after every use. This oil isn’t at all greasy. I have used many herbal oils but they always left my hair with some kind of a tacky feeling, which is irritating. It has a strong fragrance which is quite often found in most of the herbal hair oils. I somewhat don’t like the fragrance. I think it can be disturbing for people who are not fond of strong fragrances like me. The scent fades away with shampooing but a little bit does linger for a little time after one wash. The oil is very light-weight, that’s a good thing for me as I prefer my hair-oils to be very, very light. I feel it didn’t do anything for my dandruff, it is the same as it was before. I won’t say it has arrested the hair-fall, but it has definitely reduced it. Also, it didn’t help in regaining hair, neither did it claim that. So, what is actually did to my hair is- it nourished it from the roots to the tips, my hair became manageable. It eliminated the frizz from the hair making it shiny and smooth. It reduced the hair-fall miraculously. I can’t say if it made the hair grow faster because I have hair that grows really fast naturally. So, I’d skip commenting on this part.
All I Have to Say is– I have been using this hair oil and can vouch on the fact that it does make your hair touchably smooth. So far it has worked great for me- it has made my hair soft and shiny, manageable and has lessened my hair fall to some extent. It is a bit pricey compared to other hair oils available in the market, but I can say that I am loving this hair-oil for more than one reasons and I am sure you won’t regret buying and using it yourselves.
My Rating– 3.8/5

I will be back soon with another new post (you can expect a haul next week). Till then take care and stay beautiful J

Hello my lovelies! Recently I bought the Glitter Mania nail paint by Maybelline which is their recent launch after the Color Show range.  After a lot of thinking and re-thinking, I got myself the shade Pink Champagne which I adore.
Now, let’s get into my views and thoughts on this product-
Maybelline Glitter Mania is said to be the first ever textured nail paint in India. It’s not like the ordinary nail paints you find in markets. When you apply the nail paint on your nails it goes opaque with the first swatch.  Then the second coat brings out the bling and you notice that your nails are feeling a bit different. They have that textured feeling and you won’t believe that it’s just a nail-paint. In my opinion, it indeed is not just a nail-paint, it’s much more than that. Once you use, it’ll change your notion about glitter nail polishes.
I, myself, am literally blown away by the Glitter Mania polish and I’ve just used one from this range. It has a bunch of gorgeous shades to choose from-
  • All that Glitters
  • Pink Champagne
  • Matinee Mauve
  • Starry Night
  • Paparazzi Purple
  • Red Carpet
  • Bling on the Blue
  • Dazzling Diva

Product category- Nail paint
Brand- Maybelline
Price- 125 INR

Pink Champagne is a brilliant soft pink shade with a chockfull of silver glitter chunks of different sizes. The glitters have been brilliantly created with superb light reflecting feature which makes your nails catch the limelight all the time you go out. It gives a sandy texture to the nails I am super impressed with its drying formula. It dries out super quick and gives you a matte finish other than the glitter effect. The nail polish goes opaque in a single quote and with the second quote it becomes perfect. The longevity is another thing about this nail paint that I loved. I removed it from my nails on the 7th day from the application and until then it was intact on my nails. No chipping! The third picture I took with my cell phone cam, it was taken just before the removal process. Pardon me for the poor lighting. Let’s see the pictures-

Ups-
  • Beautiful shade.
  • Packed with pretty chunks of glitter.
  • Dries up quickly.
  • Lasts for a long time.
  • Doesn’t chip.

Downs-
  • Removing is a pain.

What I Have to Say is-Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania nail paints are worth a try. It’s very reasonably price compared for the amazing quality. I loved the textured nails very much. Though I was afraid of the falling out of the glitters for the first two days, but that fear was gone after I tried to rub my nails with a cotton ball. Not a single particle fall off the nails. The only thing I disliked was the removal process. I had a hard time removing the nail paint from my nails. You have to rub each of your nails for quite a long time, after that your nails will be perfectly clean.
My rating- 4.8/5
Those who haven’t tried these beauties, I highly recommend you to try the shades. You won’t be disappointed. Those who love neutral nail paints can go for Pink Champagne. I, myself, am going to buy a few of the other shades very soon.
Thanks for reading. Stay fit and fabulous!

Hello all, today I am going to review a recent launch by Maybelline, the Colossal Kohl Turquoise. If you’re following this blog then you would know that I have mentioned it in my last haul post. At first I was too skeptical about this because I am not much into shimmery eyeliners, I love them matte. When I first saw the swatches of this kohl on others’ blogs, it seemed metallic and a bit shimmery. But, to my surprise, the shimmers were not as intense as I though it to be. It wasn’t matte but not glittery as well.
I am currently loving coloured eye-liners, especially when it offers a two-way formula. This Colossal Turquoise kohl is formulated for both upper and lower lash-line. Let’s see what I feel about the product-

Packaging- This kohl come in the classic Colossal packaging that is a bright yellow twist up pen with a tight cap. On the packaging there are some metallic turquoise accents.

Shade- This variation of the Colossal Kohl comes in a Turquoise shade.  Duh, that wasn’t a surprise at all! I would rather call it a bluish turquoise if that makes any sense at all. All I mean is it is not that typical turquoise shade. The shade is kind of a metallic turquoise blue with a bit of shimmers in it. The shade doesn’t look shimmery at all on the eyes. Just a tiniest hint of metallic sparkle. The product isn’t loaded with shimmers, it stays on place and most importantly, after washing or wiping off the product there’s no hint of any shimmer.

Texture- The texture is really very smooth if applied on the upper lash line, but I had a hard time using it on the lower lash line. It’s really very difficult to draw a smooth line along the lower lash line with this kohl. The tip of the liner broke when I tried to apply it on the lower lash-line L Otherwise it gives an even and smooth application.

Staying power- My lower waterline and lash-line is extremely oily, the product stayed for a good 5-6 hours on my eyes. I found that the staying power is more on the upper lid/lashline than the lower waterline. It stayed for approximately 7-8 hours when applied on the upper lash line. I don’t agree with their claim about the lasting power to be 12 hours. At least for me, it was nowhere near 12 hours. Maybe oily eyelids are the reason for that. It doesn’t smudge out. I agree to the company claim here. For me, it didn’t smudge out but it faded out a little.

Pigmentation- The new Maybelline Colossal Kohl Turquoise decently and evenly pigmented. Though it doesn’t give you the exact pigmentation in a single swipe, but it is really buildable. You can always swipe it twice to get the desired shade.

What I have to say is- The colossal Kohl Turquoise is a nicely pigmented eye pencil with a 2 in 1 benefit of kohl and eyeliner. It doesn’t irritate the eyes if applied on the lower waterline. It happens to be a metallic shade though it isn’t loaded with shimmers. It is subtly shimmery which I don’t mind. I wish it was as smooth on the lower lash-line as it is on the upper lash-line. I would have loved if it was a matte shade. It has a decent price tag. Overall, I have a good experience with the Colossal Kohl Turquoise.

Ups-

  • Beautiful metallic turquoise blue shade.
  • Doesn’t irritate the eyes.
  • Nice colour pay-off.
  • Staying power is good.
  • Doesn’t smudge out.

Downs-

  • Application is not smooth when applied on the lower lash-line.

Will I buy it again- Not sure, but probably no.

Rating- 3/5

Thanks for patiently reading this review. I hope you liked it. If you have tried the Maybelline Colossal Kohl Turquoise then please share your views and experiences in the comment section. I would love to know. I will be back with a new post soon. Till then, take care. Bye!
