Hello lovelies, I hope you’re doing great this year. This year has started off really well and I hope the goodness pursues. This post is a monthly favourites post. This will be my first ‘favourites’ post and henceforth I will be doing similar posts for every month.

Today I am going to share with you guys the products I loved using in January. So here they are-

~Skincare Products~

1. I Love… Strawberries & Milkshake Body Butter: A few months back I won a giveaway at Shubha’s blog, Blue Velvet Addict and this product, with some other goodies, came as a prize. I was using my Vaseline body lotion then but I was really getting eager to try out the body butter as soon as possible. I started using it in January. I love, love, love this product!! I don’t know if I have succeeded in make you understand how deeply I am in love with this or not, but I meant each word that I just scribbled. It smells like strawberry and cream and kind of strawberry smoothie, whatever it is, it has a divine smell. I like to apply it on my hands after bath. It makes my skin supple throughout the day and makes me smell like dessert 😛

2. Naked Potion Lotion: The moment I received it in my January Fab Bag, I started using it. I have not used it throughout January but still it is my favourite for this month. In case you guys are wondering, Naked is an organic skincare line by supermodel Lisa Haydon. The Potion Lotion is actually a face moisturizer which makes my face nourished, healthy and also it makes my skin look beautifully dewy. What I loved about the cream is the not-so-thick not-so-light perfect texture, the visible effects and its natural ingredients. It has a weird smell which initially made me a little irritated but now I like the natural, non-chemical smell. As it’s very moisturizing, I have to use it up within this winter because I might not be able to use it in the summers as I have a very oily t-zone which makes my entire face greasy L I am planning to do an entire blog-post on this product.

3. Lotus Herbals 3-in-1 Matte Look Daily Sunblock: This product is my all time favourite. I am sure everyone among you knows about this product quite well. This is my favourite because- (a) It has a matte formula which is hard to find in a sunscreen (b) It smells good, (c) It is super inexpensive. Also it has SPF 40 and UVA and UVB protection as well. I will keep purchasing it always.

~Haircare Products~

4. Pre-Botanix Anti-dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner by Raaga Professional: Since my hair is super oily and full of dandruff throughout the winter, I needed an extremely good shampoo to get rid of the flaky scalp. This shampoo and conditioner duo was actually recommended by my hair-stylist. I have been using this from the first week of January. I use it every 2ndday and it claims to show you visible difference with 4 weeks. Well, for that matter, it’s my 3rd week with the product and I can see the lack of flakes in my hair. This shampoo doesn’t damage your hair and the conditioner is just the best. You don’t need to have dandruff problem to use the conditioner, you can use it with any shampoo. It makes your hair soft and touchable. I don’t know where else it’s available in India; I bought it from my salon friend. I recommend the Pro-Botanix Anti Dandruff shampoo if you’ve stubborn dandruff like I have.
~Makeup Products~

5. Maybelline The Hyper Curl Volume Express Mascara: This has been my HG mascara ever since I started using it! This mascara has everything you need for your lashes. It stretches, lengthens, curls and gives an amazing effect to your eyes.

6. Maybelline Super Stay 14hr Lipstick- Eternal Rose: Since I am into blod lippies for this month, this has been my favourite. It is a lovely rosy pink colour which suits me a lot. It just brightens up my face. Only one down point for this lipstick could be its drying tendency. Otherwise everything is great with it. It’s matte, it’s bold and it’s pretty!

7. Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel EyeLiner: This is my first time trying out a gel liner. I needed one and felt to try the Maybelline one first. Reason- its reasonable price. I have loved this so much that I keep this on the top of my vanity table so that I can grab it anytime. This is my favourite go to eyeliner now.

8. Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner: I was too much into eye makeup products this January. Recently I ran out of my Maybelline Colossal Kajal and I went on shopping to buy the most raved Loreal Kajal Magique. But sadly, the nearby departmental store didn’t have that in stock. So, I opted for the one that was available there. It was the Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner. I have used it before and I love this product so much. I love applying it on both upper and lower lash line. It has an intense black colour and it glides on very well.

9. Kryolan Dermacolor Camouflage Crème: If you are following my blog, you guys must have seen my review about this product. I have loved this product since I purchased it. This is my HG product to camouflage my wretched dark circles. I apply it underneath my eyes and top it up with my concealer and I am ready to go. This product is worth being in the ‘Favourites’ list.
Read my review here.

So, this is pretty much it. I think I’ve discussed about all the products. These products were my favourites for the month of January. Some of them might become my all time favourites. I hope you’ll have enjoyed reading my post. See you in my next post 🙂
Hello girls, finally I am back in action (read blogging). If you’re in my Facbook friend list then you might know what I was going through these days. My dog was ill for two weeks and he left us last Saturday. I was very heart-broken. My dog was my only best friend for last 13 years and you can feel how lonely am I feeling now. Nevertheless, let’s jump into the post or else I’ll start crying again.
As you all know I am very new in this world of Beauty Blogging. I just have found my interest in makeup and beauty. I am following a lot of beauty bloggers across the country and have seen them talking about one monthly beauty subscription box and that is the very famous Vellvette Box (now a bag). I wanted to try it as soon as possible because I have seen numerous tempting products coming in this bag. I subscribed for the October’13 Vellvette Bag.  I was not able to share with you my first Vellvette but I will share a picture of what I got in my first Vellvette Bag at the end of the post.
For those who are wandering about what this Vellvette Bag is, it’s an Indian monthly beauty subscription box which claims to ship you luxury beauty, makeup, skincare, bath and body and perfume samples of recognized brands from all over the world. At the time of registration they ask you to fill in a questionnaire about your preferences. But sadly they forget it during shipping. The one month subscription is worth Rs 499. Visit www.vellvette.com to know more about them.

Let’s get into the post now. This is my second Bag from Vellvette and I am really impressed with the products I got in this bag. The pink bag looks super cute with the black polka dots all over it. I think I am going to use it as a makeup pouch while travelling. This bag contains all the essentials for the wedding season. I got an assortment of makeup, bath and skincare products and one bonus item too. Check out what I got-

List of the Products I Got in the Bag-
1. Flormar Deluxe Shine Gloss Lipstick D-35
2. Votre Pore Shrinking Toner
3. I Love… Coconut and Cream Bubble bath and Shower Gel
4. Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream (Bonus Product)

The Lipstick I got in the box is quite impressive. It has a buttery texture to it and gives a sheer finish. I love the glossiness it gives to my lips. This is a little heavy on my lips, I feel like I’m wearing butter on my lips. It tends to melt a lot so I have to keep it in the fridge all the time. I don’t think I can carry it with me while travelling.

I gave this product to my mom and she is using it for 2 days. I think it’s a good product as she didn’t complain about it till now. The term ‘Pore Shrinking’ made me very interested in the results. I will be using it on my skin and write a review for you guys soon.

I am using this shower gel for 2 days and I like it so far. Sometimes I get very disturbed with the strong coconut-y fragrance. I hate, hate, hate the smell. But, unlike other shower gels that I have used earlier, this product doesn’t leave me with a weird soapy feeling even after washing myself.
November Vellvette Bag
I am yet to try this one. However, I don’t like the smell. It smells like the ayurvedic chapped lips and skin healers my grandma used to use. Also, the product is very thick in consistency.

This is a glimpse of what I got in my October Vellvette Bag-

My Note:

Being a new subscriber, honestly I didn’t know what to expect from them. But I was amazed to see the products came in my November Vellvette Bag. It’s pretty satisfactory. Also, they sent me a bonus product as a prize for the renewal of the subscription. So, I am quite happy with them till now. So, this was my experience with November Vellvette Bag. What is yours?

Hello everybody! Hope you are doing all well. Today I am going to review a very effective, actually my favourite foot care product from H₂O+. We all know about this brand for its high quality products and their efficiency. Today I am going to review a foot scrub from H₂O+, named H₂O+ Spa Pumice Foot Scrub.

In this hectic lifestyle we sometimes forget to pamper our important limbs. We do care for our hands, but close the eyes to the most stressed organ, our feet. Our feet need equal pampering like our hands.

What the company claims:
  •     This gentle exfoliating scrub massages away calluses and smoothes rough spots.
  •       Menthol instantly soothes tired feet with a cooling sensation.
  •         Fine-grained volcanic pumice softly polishes dry, rough skin.
  •         Deep-sea nori, himalthalia and spirulina replenish vital moisture.

Directions to use:  Massage over wet feet, concentrating on heels and soles. Rinse.

Product Category- Foot Scrub
Brand- H₂O+
Price- 800 INR for 120g (4.2oz)

Packaging: This scrub comes in a wide tube with a semi-transparent lid. The tube is also a lit bit see-through. You can see the product reducing with every use inside it. That’s a good thing, I guess. You can see how much is left. The quality of the packaging is worth the price.

The Product: The product is a creamy material with lots of pumice particles. The thickness of the product is very good. It’s neither heavily concentrated nor liquidy. It’s just perfect for a scrubber.  The texture is really good to scour away the dead-cells and other impurities.

My Experience: H₂O Spa Pumice Foot Scrub is a scrub with loads of sandy pumice dust, as I said earlier. The texture is not too mild and not too harsh on the skin as well. It gently cleanses your feet without irritating your skin. The feet feel so soft and supple after using it. It has a refreshing mild fragrance of menthol that purportedly relaxes the feet. Though, according to me, the smell has nothing to do with relaxation. I personally don’t like menthol. I use it twice a week as my feet need extra care.

Pros:
  • Suits all skin types.
  • Fine granules.
  • Not harsh on skin.
  • Makes the feet supple.
  • Smoothens skin.
  • Efficiently removes dead cells and dirt.
  • No-allergenic.

Cons:
  • High price.
  • I personally hate the menthol smell.
Verdict: If you guys are looking for a very effective foot scrub and are ready to spend 800/- on a foot-scrub, you may try this. I highly recommend it. Other than the high price, I found nothing to really hate it. I got it from fashionandyou.com where a 50% discount was going on. So, I got this for only 400 bucks. If you guys are interested, wait for a sale. It’s best to buy this on a discount.

My Rating:4/5 (-1 for the price)

Repurchase: Yes, as soon as I find another discount 😛

I hope you liked the review. Feel free to comment. New post will be up next week. Till then be happy, be beautiful.

Hello all,
I am with the review of my favourite brand AMWAY ARTISTRY. We all know how Amway is quite popular in India and they do have most effective products but expensive. But trust me every penny is of worth!!!And now we are going to see about the product AMWAY ARTISTRY ALPHA HYDROXY SERUM PLUS. Now let’s move on to the review…

About The Product:

What the company claims:
·         Improves skin smoothness by over 60% in 12 weeks
·         The only Alpha Hydroxy product to contain skin-soothing oat extract
·         5% Alpha Hydroxy Acid
·         Oil free, colorant-free, fragrance-free
·         Allergy tested
·         Ophthalmologist and dermatologically tested
·         Can be used with Retin-A therapy
·         Reduces skin flakiness
Price & Quantity: INR 2299 for 30ml.
Shelf Life: 36 months
Product Description:
Amway Artistry Alpha Hydroxy Serum Plus is light yellow and transparent, it is very liquidy and has sticky consistency. When applied on the skin it absorbs fully but leaves a dry layer. Maybe it sounds strange but true!!

Packaging:
The serum comes in an elegant cylindrical pump dispenser with pumping mechanism. When the pump is dispensed, the base inside moves up and ensures minimum product wastage.

My Experience with Amway Artistry Alpha Hydroxy Serum Plus:
I got this serum from my brother’s colleague and he is an Amway agent. We all know how Amway distributors are pushy to get their products…As soon as he showed this product to me I was bit hesitant to get this because of the PRICE!!!!But thought of giving a shot by looking at its claims.

I tell you this serum is awesome…the results were visible in the first week itself. I had severe acne problem during my college days and was on doctor’s prescription for more than 3 years…my acne was reduced but those ugly stubborn scars were there. After using this serum the redness was reduced to a great extent and my face was becoming smoother day by day. It renews your skin.

Initially I found a bit difficulty in blending because it has sticky consistency, but after it gets absorbed fully you don’t even feel that you’ve put anything on your face…even in summers…no greasiness.

We all know the importance of AHA’s for our skin..
·         Improves skin pigmentation
·         Decreases appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
·         Dry skin exfoliation
·         Increases sunscreen absorption
·         Improves appearance of sun damaged skin

This serum acts as a mild peeling agent too. It heals the redness and even red spots if we get due to any allergy. Due to continuous usage, there is a lot of improvement in skin’s firmness and elasticity plus it controls acne, white heads, black heads to a great extent too not even the pimples during the month time…awesome right 🙂

Pros:
·          one of the best premium skincare brands
·          Controls and reduces acne to a great extent
·          Improves skin tone
·          Improves skin firmness and elasticity ,makes you to look younger
·          Reduces redness
·          Gives a good glow
·         works as excellent make up base
·          controls oil to a great extent even in humid weather
·          Acts as a mild peeling agent
·         Works as excellent night cream
·         Very mild
·         Lasts for 3-4 months

Cons:
·          The PRICE!!!!
·          Availability (can get only through Amway agents)
·          Makes skin bit dry
·          Can’t be used alone
·         AHA’s will not suit sensitive skin people
·          If stopped using, skin comes back to its normal stage

Final Verdict:
I love this serum and stands true to what it claims!!! It slows down the ageing process and reduces pore size too. If you want to have younger looking skin and increase the firmness then do get it.

Re-purchase:
Well, no, I may buy this again after I enter into my 30’s to increase the firmness and reduce the ageing process and the price also holding me back to get!!
