Hi, guys! Hope you’re doing well. Today, I am going to review an all-natural and organic scrub that I’ve been enjoying using during my self-care/ weekly pamper routine for the past couple of weeks. If you know me well, you’d know that I am a sucker for natural skincare and bath and body products. So, when I got to try a few products from Deyga I was very excited. Today’s product in focus is Deyga Rose Scrub that is completely natural and chemical-free.

The importance of exfoliation is no secret. Scrubbing your skin on a regular basis to get rid of dead cells, blackheads and other impurities is like regeneration of the skin. I make sure to exfoliate my skin thrice a week. I try to keep aside a day, mostly Saturdays or Sundays for pampering my skin with exquisite skincare products. For my weekly pamper routines, I like to use products that are rich in organic ingredients, safe on the skin, and most importantly have an exotic feel in them. Deyga Rose Scrub has all of that and more. Made with 100% pure, organic, real rose petals, this scrub works wonders without harming your skin.

About Deyga Rose Scrub

Exfoliating feels exquisite with this beautiful rose scrub made with real rose petals. It melts quickly on the skin and gently refines the pores while removing the dead cells to expose cleaner, fresher skin.

Benefits-

  • Cleanses the skin
  • Exfoliates it
  • Softens the skin
  • Provides a healthy glow

How to Use-

  • Wet your skin
  • Scrub over face/hands/legs/underarm or elsewhere
  • Leave it on the skin for 60 seconds to absorb
  • Rinse off

Ingredients-

Deya Rose Scrub is made up of all-natural ingredients like native rose, lotus petals, beetroot extract, semolina, aloe vera powder, and rice flour. While semolina and rice flour give the scrub a base and work as active physical exfoliants, beetroot happens to stop premature aging and reduces age spots and blemishes as it is rich in Vitamin C. Lotus petals and rose petals have skin-balancing properties which work best for controlling the sebum production of the skin. The fatty acids and proteins present in the lotus flower help keep the skin nourished. The anti-inflammatory properties of rose petals help fight the adverse effects of UV rays and it reduces the signs of aging.

Price- ₹570 for 100g (Buy from their website)

Packaging-

This scrub comes in a  transparent plastic tub with a black screw lid that closes tightly so there is no spillage. The packaging is travel-friendly because of its sturdiness. The minimalistic packaging has my heart.

Texture & Smell-

This is a DIY scrub. That means it comes in a powder form to which you have to add water, curd, or rose water according to your wish and need and make an even paste out of it. The powder is a little gritty to touch but is not abrasive on the skin. It has some woody rose notes to it which is very mild and lingers for a bit. For those who are allergic to strong smells, this would be a great fit for you as the fragrance is 100% natural.

My Experience with Deyga Rose Scrub-

Deyga Rose Scrub Review | Best natural scrub india | cherry on top blog

As I mentioned earlier, I have used this scrub for more than 3 months for my weekend pamper routines and I have to say it is one of my most favourite skincare products ever that too in a budget. Its au naturel ingredients, unique formulation, and minimalistic approach instantly made me fall for it. I am always up for skincare products that are rich in natural and non-toxic ingredients and are sustainable. Each and every product from Deyga’s wide range of skin and hair care products falls under the aforementioned criteria.

Coming back to Deyga Rose Scrub, I thoroughly enjoyed using this in my everyday skincare routine. The texture of the scrub is effective to scour away any impurities, blackheads, whiteheads, and dead cells from your skin without damaging or irritating the skin layer. It also effectively enhances the skin texture. I loved the fact that it did not feel harsh on the skin. It surely is a little time-consuming and creates a mess in your bathroom but it is definitely worth it. If you are also into natural and sustainable skincare products, you should definitely give this scrub a go.

Winter is now gone and summer has already in its full glory. It is the time when you should take extra care of your skin and body. You all know how particular I am with my skincare routine. It has grown for the best with each passing day. From carefully choosing the right product and researching every ingredient that goes into the skin, I am extremely serious about it. The problem I face the most in this transitional time is dry and lifeless along with some tanning on my forehead. Coffee is one of my favourite ingredients that work wonders for these problems. It might not be the greatest of beverages but it certainly does take care of many of the skin concerns that we usually have like tanning, dryness, and skin-ageing. Recently, I have included VLCC Coffee Sugar De-tan Exfoliating Scrub & Rejuvenating Arabica Coffee Peel-off Mask to my pamper skincare routine and they have so far been great for me.

I have been a fan of VLCC since I started using them when I was a teenager. I love how they choose their ingredients responsibly and delivers only natural, paraben-free products that are effective too.  The two products mentioned earlier have already become my favourites because of their efficacy and the ingredients that are natural and formulated for all skin types. Here is my detailed review of both.

VLCC Coffee Sugar De-tan Exfoliating Scrub

VLCC Coffee Sugar De-tan Exfoliating Scrub texture review

Coffee and sugar are two of my favourite ingredients for my scrubs. They are natural, effective and surprisingly gentle on the skin. Apart from being a great beverage, coffee is also known for its beauty benefits. The caffeine in coffee helps stimulate blood circulation which reduces puffiness or inflammation. It also works great to remove tanning, tighten and brighten the skin, improve skin texture, reducing wrinkles and signs of ageing.

Formulated with Arabica Coffee, Sugar Crystals & Himalayan Pink Salt, this product starts showing the results from its first use. It gently removes the dead cells from the surface and reveals the brighter looking skin lying underneath it instantly. It makes the skin smoother, brighter and softer. I easily get tanned on my forehead and my nose and the tan is the kind of patchy tan that we all hate. This scrub helps clear that out and evens out the complexion. If I have to rate it, I will give is a 9/10.

Price- ₹399 for 90g

Packaging- VLCC Coffee Sugar De-tan Exfoliating Scrub comes in a white plastic tube with a flip open cap. The packaging is extremely sturdy and convenient to travel with.

Ingredients: Glycerine, Sugar Crystal, Coffea Arabica powder, Himalayan Pink Salt, Silica, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Perfume, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Benzoate, Triethylene Glycol

Texture, consistency & Smell- This scrub has a dark brown gel-like texture that is quite runny.  It feels a little sticky but is not at all difficult to work on to the skin. The product contains fine sugar crystals and coffee particles. It has got a mood-lifting aroma of freshly ground premium coffee.

How to Use- Take a sufficient quantity of scrub and apply on cleansed face. Scrub gently in a circular motion. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry.

VLCC Rejuvenating Arabica Coffee Peel-off Mask

VLCC Rejuvenating Arabica Coffee Peel-off Mask review VLCC Rejuvenating Arabica Coffee Peel off mask texture review

I don’t know how many of you would agree with me that peel-off masks are so damn satisfying. Imagine you have an event planned after the office or after a busy day in the kitchen. What would you need to glam yourself up in the shortest period of time? Of course, a peel-off mask! They are quick, they are efficient and most importantly very very relaxing and satisfying. Among the array of various peel-off masks available in the market, you’ll hardly find anything with such potent and premium ingredients as the Rejuvenating Arabica Coffee Peel-off Mask by VLCC. I love using this during my pamper days or weekends or if for the shortest glam-up regime to attending a special event. It turns any day into a spa day and I love that.

This mask spreads evenly on to the skin and turns into a peel-off mask from a gel-like formula within 15-20 minutes. It is also very easy and very neat to remove. It peels away the dirt and impurities from the pores and evens out the skin tone while rejuvenating it. The difference it makes is quite noticeable. It instantly brightens up the skin tone by clearing away all the dead cells and tanning off of the surface of your skin.

Price- ₹399 for 90g

Packaging- Same as the De-tan Exfoliating Scrub

Ingredients- Aqua, Isopropyl Alcohol, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Glycerine, Coffea Arabica Powder, Phenoxyethanol, Polyvinylpyrrolidone, Lactic Acid, Caffeine, Perfume, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA, Aloe Vera Extract, Triethylene Glycol

Texture, consistency & Smell- The peel-off mask is a light-brown, gel-like texture that spreads evenly onto the skin. Similar to the Coffee Sugar De-tan Exfoliating Scrub, this also smells exactly like coffee and that itself is very therapeutic.

How to Use- Wash face properly and pat dry with a soft towel. Apply Peel off mask evenly over your face avoiding eyebrows, eyes & lips (do not apply a very thin layer). Let it dry for 20-25 minutes. My Experience with Ethicare Remedies Chocolite Scrub

It’s been one and a half months or more since I have been introduced to the Chocolite Face & Body Scrub and I have been a lover of this ever since. One of the main reasons is the smell of this product. It helps me relax after a hectic day or week. I like to incorporate this into my pamper night routine. This scrub is loaded with finely ground exfoliating beads that are very mild on the skin. It scours away all the dead-cells, dust and grime from the skin surface very efficiently and without irritating the skin layer. I dislike the scrubs that are too harsh on the skin rather I prefer those that are mild but gives me that powerful exfoliation experience. The Chocolite Scrub perfectly does that. This has made my skin look polished and glowing. It effectively and easily removes blackheads also which otherwise is quite a task. The antioxidants in it make sure your skin looks rejuvenated and youthful with regular use. It also removes tanning and makes the skin look brighter after a few uses.

This product is non-comedogenic that means it doesn’t contain any ingredients that can clog your pores. This makes this product safe for people with acne-prone skin. This texture and consistency of this product make it appropriate for using on the body as well. I prefer using it on my face after a thorough cleanse with an anti-acne face wash.

You guys all know my undying love for scrubs. I also categorize them according to my preferences. Some I like on a daily basis, some on the days I pamper my skin and some for special occasions. Today, I am going to talk about the Vasu Sugar Scrub– a new face scrub that I recently came across. This scrub belongs to the last category I mentioned earlier. This particular product is a new addition to my skincare stash, however, the brand is not. I have previously used their Kumkumadi Thailam facial beauty oil. Will talk about it some other day. Today’s product in focus is the sugar scrub and I am already excited to know your views on this.

I know many of you have used sugar scrubs before but I want to know how many of you used them for your facial skin. I am wondering because I have always been sceptical about using any sugar-based exfoliants on my face as I always feared they might be too rough for the skin. I remember one such incident where I used a homemade sugar scrub on my face and I got dry patches on certain parts of the skin.  I have used them for my body many a time though. Had I not used the Vasu  Sugar Scrub, I might never overcome this fear. This is probably the mildest sugar scrub you’ll find in India, or maybe the only one. Believe me, I am not exaggerating.

VasuStore: https://www.vasustore.com/vasu-kumkumadi-tailam-sugar-scrub-age-revitalizing

Ingredients-

The Vasu Sugar Scrub is full of some extraordinary ingredients that make it a unique formulation. They say it is enriched with the power of 22 herbs. The key ingredients are-

  • Natural Sugar & Black Sand– that effectively exfoliates dead cells, dirt, grime and sebum leaving the skin squeaky clean and also helps it breathe properly.
  • Kumkumadi Thailam– is a unique ayurvedic blend of herbs that not only provides you with a brighter looking skin but it is also a secret recipe for a radiant glow in the skin. Apart from these, it also has some great anti-septic, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. Kumkumadi oil is the ancient anti-ageing secret for the skin.
  • Vitamin E– is a source of powerful antioxidants that fights free radicles and helps in reducing the signs of ageing. It also makes the skin brighter by fading out the blemishes to a great extent.

Packaging-

The packaging of this product is very basic, just the way I prefer. It comes in a transparent plastic jar with a screw lid. The transparency of the jar allows you to keep a check on how much product you’re left with. It also has a stopper lid inside that helps to make it secure enough for travelling. Although the plastic packaging is easier and safer to handle and to carry with you, I still wish if they can come up with a glass packaging. Overall I like it because it’s travel-friendly, doesn’t spill or leak.

Texture & Fragrance-

Vasu Kumkumadi Thailam Sugar Scrub Review | Cherry On Top

The texture of this is very unique, something I experienced for the first time in my life. It is a sand-like texture but you can feel the mildness of it once touched. The consistency is thick and sticky consistency but I spread effortlessly on the skin.  It is a light golden-brown colour with visible sugar granules and some black particles which I assumed must be the black sand.

The fragrance is a very soothing ayurvedic smell. As far as my nose could perceive, the product smelled mostly of saffron, sandal and a little bit of honey and I am quite convinced as the first two are generally present in Kumkumadi oils. Kumkuma- the main ingredient in Kumkumadi oil is saffron. These make the product quite aromatic and it is something that doesn’t bother you.

How to Use Vasu Sugar scrub-

  • Wet your face and neck,
  • Take a dollop of the scrub on to your palm and rub it between your palms to spread the product evenly before applying.
  • Gently massage your face with the product in circular motions focusing the nose, chin or any other problematic areas on your face.
  • Rinse your face thoroughly with cold water.

About 1-2 minutes of massage would be sufficient as you won’t want to over-exfoliate your skin. You must use this product on wet skin as the consistency is quite thick and it won’t spread on the skin evenly only to make it tough to massage properly. You are advised to use this scrub once or twice a week for better results.

My Experience with the Vasu Sugar Scrub

Vasu Kumkumadi Thailam Sugar Scrub Review | Cherry On Top

I have already told you my experience with sugar scrubs before Vasu Sugar Scrub came into my life. Now, I am going to share my experience after using this product for almost a month. First of all, I am in love with the texture of this. It is exactly how I like my exfoliators to be, loaded with scrubbing particles. If you and I have the same taste in scrubs, you’ll love this product to the core. It comes in a 50g jar but that lasts for long as a little goes a long way.

The sugar granules in it remove dead cells and impurities very effectively without being harsh on the skin. It’s very mild and gentle which is quite unusual for sugar scrubs. This product contains the goodness of Kumkumadi oil that is well-known for its magical properties that adds a youthful glow to the face and is a natural anti-ageing agent. Apart from these, the product is free from any toxins and harmful chemicals, it’s a completely plant-based product, cruelty-free and dermatologically tested.

I use it on the days my skin needs some TLC. I take some of it and apply gently on to my skin. It dissolves on the skin after massaging for a few seconds and turns into a runny form of exfoliant. After washing my face with water, my skin instantly feels clean and rejuvenated. It makes the skin brighter and comparatively tighter with regular use.

Reasons to love this scrub

  • Eliminates dirt, grime, and sebum
  • Provides intense moisturization
  • Gentle yet effective
  • Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Enriched with the power of 22 herbs
  • Made In India
  • 40 Year of Excellence & Available in 40+ Countries

I will highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good sugar scrub that doesn’t irritate the skin and at the same time provides intense moisturization.

Hello, everyone. Hope you all are doing great. Today’s post is a review of the Mamaearth Coco Face Scrub. Before starting off, I just want to put a disclaimer that this post is in no means sponsored or under a collaboration. I have used Mamaearth products in the past and I feel that this brand needs more exposure than what it gets right now. I have been using this particular scrub for the past couple of weeks and I thought it’s just the right time to share my views with you all. Now, let’s jump straight into the review.

Scrubbing is one of the most essential parts of my skincare routine. I like to scrub my face every two days because I think that’s what works for me the best. Generally, it is advised to exfoliate your skin at least twice a week. I also like to scrub my face before and after shaving and also after removing my makeup. Scrubbing my face after makeup has proved to be very beneficial for my skin. It helps keep the breakouts at bay.

Packaging

Mamaearth Coco Face Scrub comes in a classic plastic tube packaging. The flip-open lid is quite secure and spill-proof. Overall, I found the packaging very sturdy and sleek. You can easily carry it with you.

Also, all the information about this product is written on the tube, including ingredients and manufacturing and expiry dates which I found really handy.

Texture & Smell

Mamaearth Coco Face Scrub has a very creamy texture. It’s loaded with micro-exfoliating particles. The consistency is not very thick or not to thin thus it’s quite easy to work with it.  The thickness of the product is just perfect so no need to mix it with water.

The smell is exactly like exotic coffee and a bit of cocoa. Quite obvious, right? The smell actually helps in calming my senses to some extent. Using it in the mornings can actually help you wake up. I find it exclusively great or me as I am a coffee lover. The scent is quite raw and not at all chemical-like. The best thing about the scent is that it’s not very strong or overpowering. It’s mild and relaxing.

My Experience with MamaEarth Coco Face Scrub

Scrubs are one of my favourite skincare steps. I love this particular product for several reasons.

  • Firstly, this is a very mild exfoliator. The granules are loosely packed and are not very abrasive. That’s why it doesn’t feel harsh on the skin. My skin has been acting up lately. It gets bumpy and sometimes sensitive. This scrub doesn’t irritate my skin.
  • The second thing I love about this product is that it doesn’t make the skin dry or stretchy. I have used many scrubs in the past and most of them had a tendency to make your skin look and feel dehydrated. Gladly, this one doesn’t. Rather it keeps the skin moisturized even after cleansing it thoroughly. The shea butter in it makes sure your skin is well-nourished and hydrated. This results in a soft and supple skin every time you use this scrub.
  • The aroma of this is another thing about this scrub that I love. The coffee and cocoa smell makes your mornings even more energetic and also help you relax on your tougher days.

Overall, I found this product very impressive and effective. It gently exfoliates the dead cells off of the skin leaving it nourished and hydrated. It also effectively removes blackheads too. The skin feels soft and smooth after application which I really like. Although this product is a little on the expensive side I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a 100% Indian, natural, chemical-free and hydrating exfoliator. #VocalforLocal

Since the season of dryness and roughness has come, I have started taking more care of my skin nowadays. My skincare essentially consists of three primary things, cleansing, toning and moisturizing. These are the three steps I never skip on. Another thing that is very important for me is a good exfoliator. I usually like to scrub my face twice a week but I feel these days that is not enough. So, I switched on to a more powerful exfoliant than my usual one. Today, I’ll be talking about my recent favourite Vanya Anaarshine Pomegranate Face Scrub.

Price- ₹845 for 30g

The Anaarshine scrub comes in a metallic jar with a screw lid. The packaging is definitely not hygienic. You’ll have to use a wooden spatula to be safe. This, on the other hand, is completely spillproof and thus very travel-friendly.

How to Use-

Damp your face first. Take a dollop of the scrub, mix it with some rose water or plain water and apply by massaging it in a circular motion on the face and neck. Wash off with water and pat dry your face. It is recommended to use this scrub once or twice a week.

Texture & Consistency-

Vanya Anaarshine Pomegranate Face Scrub Review | Cherry On Top

Vanya Anaarshine Pomegranate Face Scrub Review | Cherry On Top

The texture of the scrub is quite granulated. The good thing is that the granules are very gentle on the skin. The consistency of it is very sticky and concentrated. It’s not a cream, nor a gel but it is quite comparable to the consistency of jaggery. It is not at all sticky on the face once you add water to it. It also does not make your skin greasy.

My Experience-

Vanya Anaarshine Pomegranate Face Scrub Review | Cherry On Top

I am a fan of scrubs that are gritty but not harsh on the skin. Vanya Anaarshine Pomegranate Face Scrub is exactly how I like it to be. The scrub looks very gritty in the jar but when you apply it feels smooth and very gentle on the face. Being a very mild scrub, it can be used daily.

The product might seem quite expensive for the amount you get but it is in a highly concentrated form as mentioned earlier so you’ll need a very little amount to scrub you entire face a neck. You just need to dilute it with some water and you’ll get enough product to use at a time.

Using this scrub daily will bring some glow to your face and it will appear brighter. My final verdict is that Vanya Anaarshine scrub effectively scrubs off the dead cells on your facial skin and also it is hydrating, it does not cause stretchy or irritated skin.

Have you used anything from Vanya Herbals yet? What are your thoughts?

The first time I read the product description as written on the pack, I knew I had to try it. It said, “A peeling gel that visibly rolls, lifts, and sweeps away dead skin cells when massaged onto skin. Multi-action enzymes (pineapple, pomegranate, and keratinase) along with cellulose effectively peel and help uncover a smooth, fresh, new complexion without drying, irritating, or causing undue stress to skin. It removes impurities and decongests clogged pores for a youthful, radiant look.” Their claim was so huge and fascinating that it immediately made me want to try it.

I have been trying this scrub for a week now and now I am ready to share my review with you. TBC by Nature Power Magic Peeling Gel Scrub is a mild exfoliator with fine exfoliating particles. The granules don’t cause any kind of irritation. Despite being used on a dry skin, it is not harsh on the skin. The gel spreads evenly on your face when you apply it so that it is easy to massage in. This product does not lather up.

Now, let’s talk about its effectiveness. TBC by Nature Power Magic Peeling Gel Scrub mildly exfoliates the skin leaving it soft, supple and brighter. It is very effective in removing dead cells and blackheads. Although I haven’t seen anything dramatic like ‘rolling, lifting and sweeping away dead skin’ but it definitely cleanses the face, helps unclog the pores and peels the dead skin cells off your face. This product contains β-White whitening peptides and it’s made using Nanotechnology. Honestly, I don’t know much about these. I haven’t seen any whitening effect on my skin but it definitely brightens up my face whenever I use it.

If you are familiar with my preferences then you must have understood by now that I have a predilection for products that are made with all natural ingredients to use on my skin. Time and again, I have expressed my love for natural skincare products and I have also reviewed some of them. Recently (okay, it’s been over a month :/), I received a couple of products from Junaili which is a Nainital based skincare brand. Today, I am going to review those two products which are their Apricot Body Scrub and Oil.

Junaili, as I said is a Nainital based oil-pressery that uses 100% natural ingredients for their products. Their Apricot Body Scrubs and Oils are made of the finest apricots found in the Kumaon Himalayas. The products are totally safe for your body, they do not contain any chemicals, parabens and artificial fragrance. Their products are made in small batches to preserve quality. Now that we know about the brand, let’s jump into the review.

Junaili Apricot Body Scrub

Junaili Apricot Body Scrub| Cherry On Top

Price- 250INR for 125g

Packaging- The Junaili Apricot Scrub comes in a plastic jar packaging with a metallic (most probably, aluminium), golden screw lid. The jar is sturdy and the lid closes tightly, striking out any chance of spillage. Here is a little trivia about their labels, their labels are hand-written and then photographed and enhanced in photoshop. How cool is that!

My Experience- As I already have said, I have been using their products continuously ever since I receive them, that is for over a month now. I use this scrub every alternate day to exfoliate my body. I use this especially for my hands and legs because those are the areas that are mostly exposed and I need exfoliate them religiously to get a smooth skin. The scrub comes in a powder form. To make the scrub ready to apply, I take out about a tablespoon of product and mix it with plain water. You can definitely use rose water or milk according to your preferences. I use plain water because I am very lazy. I hop into the shower, take some product onto my palm, mix it with tap water and apply gently, in circular motions to my damp body.Ever since I have started using this product, my whole shower experience has changed. My skin feels soft and supple after every use. My hands and legs are really dry and this scrub doesn’t make them even drier.

Ever since I have started using this product, my whole shower experience has changed. My skin feels soft and supple after every use. My hands and legs are really dry and this scrub doesn’t make them even drier. The finely milled scrub particles are not too harsh, not too mild for the skin. They have the right amount of coarseness to them so that they don’t irritate the skin.

Junaili Apricot Body Oil

Junaili Apricot Body Oil| Cherry On Top

Price- 600INR for 240ml, 350INR for 120ml

Packaging- The packaging of this body oil is quite similar to the scrub except for that it comes in a plastic bottle and has a stopper inside the metallic screw lid. You have to open the outer lid first and then remove the stopper to take out the product. I have made a few tiny holes on the stopper which ensures that it dispenses the product in droplets. Again, this is a spillproof packaging. Being plastic packaging, these are easy to travel with.

Junaili Apricot Body Oil (2)

My Experience- Although I have a very dry body skin, I am not a lover of oils. Psychologically, the thought of letting my body come in contact with any kind of oil makes me feel disgusted. But, when I received the Apricot Body Oil by Junaili, I though to of giving it a tr only because of its ingredient. I have been using this oil daily after shower and I love how it works for me. I am glad that I tried this oil out. I like to use it after the shower, after towel drying my skin when it’s still damp. Applying it on a damp skin ensures it gets absorbed by the skin completely and also in this way it doesn’t make the skin too oily.

A regular use of this oil has made my skin softer and more smooth, especially in this time of the year when my skin needed something more. This oil has a long lasting effect on my body. It hydrates my skin for the entire day till the night which is a great thing!

Junaili Apricot Body Care Range Review| Cherry On Top

Overall, I loved both the products. Using both of them together regularly has worked really well for me. I can sure see the glow it has added to my skin and also my skin feels a less dry these days. I am really happy with Junaili’s products. I like their oil more than their scrub and I might be buying another bottle for the winter. Their body oil is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, they are full of anti-aging properties and are claimed to have the power of diminishing wrinkles. They are safe for children. They have also introduced a new product which is a facial oil which I am planning to give a go. You can check out and buy their products at their merchant website. I’ll be back again with a new post very soon. Till then, be safe & keep smiling!

Hey guys, hope you all are doing well. Today, I will be sharing my views on a range of products that I have been enjoying using for the past few weeks. It has been almost over a month since I started using the SkinCafe lip care products that they had sent me and now I think I am ready to share my final words. I know I took a long time but, that is how I work, I take too much time to review skincare products in order to understand the pros and the cons well and share a crystal-clear view on any product.

I am a lover of handmade skincare products. It gives me a feeling that I am doing something that is the best for my skin. When I received the package from SkinCafe, I was more than excited to try them out. I got three beautiful products from SkinCafe- Choco Chip and Cookies lip scrub, English Trifle lip butter and a Strawberry Shortcake tinted lip balm. Before starting with the review, let me tell you a few words about the brand.

SkinCafe.in is a brand that makes and sells handcrafted lip care products. They have a huge range of products across three categories i.e. lip scrubs, lip butter and tinted balms. All their products are named after some popular desserts. When you go to their website you would probably think that you have come to an online patisserie (check it out yourself, here). All their products are made after you place an order ensuring that you get the freshest products every time you place an order. I really liked this. Their products are cruelty-free, vegan and free from parabens. What more one could ask for? All the ingredients they use are listed on a separate page to avoid any vagueness and to ensure that there is always clarity between the manufacturer and the buyer.

Now that we know enough of the brand, let’s jump into the review-

Packaging- I am not going to lie, the packaging is the first thing that made me excited to try out the products. Each product comes in a cute little box with the illustration of a cupcake on each of them. It can give a tough competition to any luxury confectioner. As you open the box, you notice a small glass jar that contains the product. The packaging for all their products looks exactly the same. All of them come in glass jars with a plastic lid and labels. They all come in glass jars that are biodegradable but I did not find them the best things to travel with.

SkinCafe Choco Chip and Cookies Lip Scrub

SkinCafe Lip Care Range- Scrub, Butter & Tinted Balm Review| cherryontopblog.com

Price- Rs 950/- (9g)

Ingredients- Cocoa Nibs, Jojoba Oil

The SkinCafe Choco Chip and Cookies lip scrub is a product that works really well for chapped lips. There was a time when I was suffering from severely chapped lips even in summers. A regular scrubbing with this Choco Chip and Cookies has helped to reduce the dryness a lot. One can definitely notice softer and plumper lips right after using the scrub. I wet my lips first and then scoop out a little of the scrub with my fingers onto my palm and then massage it very gently onto the lips. If you ever feel that the scrub is dry, which happened to me at first, you can mix a drop of olive oil or coconut oil with the scrub and then apply it. The best thing about this Choco Chip and Cookies lip scrub is that it contains very fine scrubbing particles that do not feel harsh on the lips. More than that, this scrub smells divine, exactly like dark chocolate. It’s quite impossible to not lick it once. I tried that and believe me it does not taste like dark chocolate!

SkinCafe English Trifle Lip Butter

SkinCafe Lip Care Range- Scrub, Butter & Tinted Balm Review| cherryontopblog.com

Price- Rs 850 (9g)

Ingredients- Candelilla Wax, Cocoa Butter, Sweet Almond Oil and Banana infusion.

I never found a lip balm that has the perfect consistency as butter in order to keep my lips hydrated for the longest time. It was only until I discovered this English Trifle lip butter from SkinCafe. This product does not only make my lips soft but also it keeps them moisturized for a long time. It stays on my lips for good 4-5 hours. Sadly, it does not survive a meal. This product has become my salve for the drier days. I would suggest you guys to try this at least once and you will know what I am trying to say. I never tried English Trifles so I don’t know what to expect from the fragrance of the product but, whatever it is, it smells good. This lip butter does not contain petroleum jelly.

SkinCafe Strawberry Shortcake

SkinCafe Lip Care Range- Scrub, Butter & Tinted Balm Review| cherryontopblog.com

Price- Rs 900 (9g)

Ingredients- Beeswax, Mango Seed Butter, Avocado Oil and Strawberry infusion.

The Strawberry Shortcake Lip Tint Balm from SkinCafe is supposed to be a tinted lip balm as you can tell from the name. This balm has a buttery consistency, glides on the lips smoothly making them soft and supple and adding a subtle hint of pink colour to them. The colour is not as intense as I had imagined but it’s quite natural and perfect for an everyday purpose. This balm makes my lips really hydrated. It smells exactly like strawberries!

Overall, I liked the range of products from SkinCafe. The fact that they are purely vegan, cruelty-free and free from harsh chemicals like parabens, excites me a lot to keep using them forever. I would highly recommend their products. They are worth a try. A regular use of this range of products has changed my lip care regime completely. My lips do not feel dry anymore. The price of the product may be on the higher side but they are totally worth it. If you are sceptical about trying them for the first time and also hesitating to pay such a price for a new brand, then you can try their Lip Care Combos which would be a smart choice. Each these combos contain three products from each category (scrubs, butters and tinted balms). Each combo is a set of three products of 3g each and retails at Rs 900. You can buy SkinCafe products online from their official website.

Hi everyone!

Today, I am going to review an item from my favourite skincare products. It’s a face and body scrub from Fab India which I am loving at this time. I am not a serious skincare routine follower but I love scrubs, I feel it cleans my facial skin most effectively. I love how my skin feels after scrubbing it with this product.

Product Category: Scrub
Brand: Fab India
Price: 250ml for 100ml

Packaging: This scrub comes in a semi-transparent plastic tub packaging with a screw lid. It also has an extra white stopper lid to stop spilling out of the product. A label with name and ingredients list is stuck onto the tub.

Fab India Orange and Cinnamon Face & Body Gel Scrub

Fab India Orange and Cinnamon Face & Body Gel Scrub

Product: The product is a gel-like substance with a lot of finely milled granules which are claimed to be ground walnut shells. The consistency is just perfect- not too thick, not too runny. It has an intense orangey and cinnamon-y fragrance to it which lingers for a good time unless you tend to sweat a lot. The fragrance makes the bath very exotic and refreshing.

Fab India Orange and Cinnamon Face & Body Gel Scrub

Effect: Though it’s inscribed on the label that it’s a face and body scrub, but I feel it is only effective for the face. The consistency is certainly not proper for the body skin. It fails to scour out dirt and dead cells from the hands and the rest of the body as it is a bit too mild for that. It does a pretty good job for the face. The skin looks so smooth after the process that you can’t resist your hands from touching the face all the time.

Ups:

  • Made of natural ingredients.
  • Soap free formula that doesn’t dry out the skin neither it makes the skin oily.
  • Gel like consistency is convenient for applying.
  • Refreshing, exotic fragrance.
  • Doesn’t irritate the skin.
  • Very mild formula that results in a gentle exfoliation.
  • Able to scour out dead cells and impurities effectively.

Downs:

  • Fails to work for the rest of the body.

All I have to say is- This is the best scrub I’ve used so far. It’s inexpensive, natural and last but not the least, very effective. I am not at all satisfied with the result it gives when it’s used on the hands or any other part of the body. It works really well on my combination skin without letting it dry out. It succeeds in retaining the natural moisture of the skin as it is completely soap free. The finely pound walnut shell doesn’t tend to be harsh on the skin, it gently exfoliates it. The gel formula is always best for my skin.

My Rating- 4.6/5

Will I buy it again- Certainly!
