Honestly, I am someone who would always forget to put on sunscreen though I make every possible effort to remember. Let me know if you are the same! Anyhoo, I have always had a propensity of skipping my sunscreen and over the years I have realised it is because of the uncomfortable feeling all my sunscreens have given me.

Almost all the sunscreens have this tendency of making your skin a little greasy or sticky, some would work amazing but would feel heavy on the skin, some would work fine in the beginning but after some time it would turn oily. These are the things I have always faced with my sunscreens. Today, I will talk about a product that is totally different from all the sunscreens I had used in the past. 360° Block Sunscreen Gel SPF 50+ is specially designed for 360° photoprotection. It protects from UVA, UVB, INFRA-RED RADIATION (IR), BLUE LIGHT & ATMOSPHERIC POLLUTANTS- the complete full light protection in one sunscreen.

Ingredients-

D.M. Water, Octyl Methoxy Cinnamate, Titanium Dioxide, BlueShield, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Butylated Hydroxytoluene

How to use-

Apply generously and evenly on face and all exposed areas of the body 20-30 minutes before exposure to the sun. Massage into the skin very gently, until it gets absorbed completely.  Reapply after prolonged swimming or excessive sweating.

360° Block Sunscreen Gel SPF 50+ comes in a white plastic tube with a metallic screw-on cap. The tube is packaged in a similar white cardboard box.  The packaging is very sleek and sturdy, great to travel with. I love the clean packaging where you can get every information including manufacturing and expiry date on the tube. I feel its really convenient as you don’t need to always keep the outer packaging with you.

Texture & Feel-

Although it is described as a gel it is more of a mousse-like texture. It has a very silky soft formulation that feels really lightweight on the skin. It gets absorbed into the skin in seconds giving it a completely matte finish.

It’s been more than a month since I have been using this product and I have been enjoying using it, to be honest. The extremely lightweight formula and silky texture have won my heart. As I mentioned my struggle with sunscreens earlier in this post, this product came as a blessing and it completely changed my skincare routine. Now, I never skip my sunscreen. It feels you have nothing on your face. It doesn’t make your face sweaty, unlike many sunscreens which makes it a great option for summers as well. If you have oily to combination skin like me then this is going to be your HG product.

This product gives you all-round protection from UVA, UVB, Infrared, Blue light and pollution which is great to have in a single product. This is also water-resistant so you don’t need to worry about it melting with sweat and you can also use it while swimming or when you are in the sea. This product is free from parabens and is dermatologically tested. It did not cause any breakout or allergic reactions on my face.

The company claims that the 360ׄ° Block Sunscreen Gel SPF 50+ acts as a shield against blue light and helps to fight against blue light-induced ageing and hyperpigmentation which I feel is true because every since I started using this, I haven’t got any sunspots that I usually get whenever my skin is exposed to direct sun. The brand also claims that the 360° Block Sunscreen Gel SPF 50+ offers protection from harmful free radicals and helps to reduce the signs of ageing, the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, melanin polymerization, freckles and black spots. I haven’t seen any significant changes in my fine lines or dark spots.

The rose and mulethi face pack comes in a fine dust form and the fragrance is a mild rose fragrance. They haven’t used any artificial colours or perfumes in this product so what you get is absolutely natural.

How to Use-

Take about a tablespoon or two full of the Rose and Mulethi pack in a bowl, mix it with some milk or rose water and make a paste out of it. Apply the paste thickly and evenly across your face, leave it for about 15 minutes or until 80% dry and wash it off using gentle circular massaging strokes.

I absolutely love rose as an ingredient in my skincare products. It took me a really long time to actually notice the benefits of rose on my skin. I would say it was somewhat an acquired liking but I am glad I fell in love with this powerful ingredient.

It’s been a month since I have been using it and it did not cause any breakout or skin irritation on me. I like to use this on days my skin needs some extra TLC and it beautifully does that. You guys all know my undying love for scrubs. I also categorize them according to my preferences. Some I like on a daily basis, some on the days I pamper my skin and some for special occasions. Today, I am going to talk about the Vasu Sugar Scrub– a new face scrub that I recently came across. This scrub belongs to the last category I mentioned earlier. This particular product is a new addition to my skincare stash, however, the brand is not. I have previously used their Kumkumadi Thailam facial beauty oil. Will talk about it some other day. Today’s product in focus is the sugar scrub and I am already excited to know your views on this.

I know many of you have used sugar scrubs before but I want to know how many of you used them for your facial skin. I am wondering because I have always been sceptical about using any sugar-based exfoliants on my face as I always feared they might be too rough for the skin. I remember one such incident where I used a homemade sugar scrub on my face and I got dry patches on certain parts of the skin.  I have used them for my body many a time though. Texture & Fragrance-

Vasu Kumkumadi Thailam Sugar Scrub Review | Cherry On Top

The texture of this is very unique, something I experienced for the first time in my life. It is a sand-like texture but you can feel the mildness of it once touched. The consistency is thick and sticky consistency but I spread effortlessly on the skin.  It is a light golden-brown colour with visible sugar granules and some black particles which I assumed must be the black sand.

The fragrance is a very soothing ayurvedic smell. As far as my nose could perceive, the product smelled mostly of saffron, sandal and a little bit of honey and I am quite convinced as the first two are generally present in Kumkumadi oils. Kumkuma- the main ingredient in Kumkumadi oil is saffron. These make the product quite aromatic and it is something that doesn’t bother you.

How to Use Vasu Sugar scrub-

  • Wet your face and neck,
  • Take a dollop of the scrub on to your palm and rub it between your palms to spread the product evenly before applying.
  • Gently massage your face with the product in circular motions focusing the nose, chin or any other problematic areas on your face.
  • Rinse your face thoroughly with cold water.

About 1-2 minutes of massage would be sufficient as you won’t want to over-exfoliate your skin. I have already told you my experience with sugar scrubs before Vasu Sugar Scrub came into my life. Now, I am going to share my experience after using this product for almost a month. First of all, I am in love with the texture of this. It is exactly how I like my exfoliators to be, loaded with scrubbing particles. If you and I have the same taste in scrubs, you’ll love this product to the core. It comes in a 50g jar but that lasts for long as a little goes a long way.

The sugar granules in it remove dead cells and impurities very effectively without being harsh on the skin. It’s very mild and gentle which is quite unusual for sugar scrubs. This product contains the goodness of Kumkumadi oil that is well-known for its magical properties that adds a youthful glow to the face and is a natural anti-ageing agent. This is the type of sleepwear mostly popular amongst millennials. You can notice if you are Instagram savvy or internet savvy in general.

These are well-suited for mommies with infants or toddlers who need to put on something that is comfortable, and also that are easy to walk around in. 

3.   T-shirt & Pyjamas-

This is probably the most popular and in easy reach. Even if the fancier nightdresses are unavailable offline, you’ll never come back home empty-handed if you are out searching for a good t-shirt and pyjama set. These types of nightwear come in various designs, colours and prints. You could wear this all day, or for a morning walk. The ease and versatility of this type of nightwear make it my number one choice. It is the comfiest pair, in my opinion, and suited for women of any age.

4.   Top & Shorts-

This is also one of the most favourite women’s nightwear. This is for those who like short and simple. Most popular among teens, this type of night suit for women is loved for its cosiness and breeziness. These are also available in different prints, colours and styles considering the taste and mood of the one who’s going to wear them.

5.   Knee-length Night Dress-

This is another type of nightwear that is most loved by women of all ages. This is by far the best invention in the world of nightwear. These short nighties are very comfortable to wear and easier to move around in, and also these are great for summers since they are breezy.

6.   Baby Dolls-

One of the most sensuous night wears, Baby dolls are mostly opted for by new brides or those who are looking for adding some spice to their night suit. Baby dolls are mostly made out of satin or silk materials, usually come as a dress or two-piece cami & shots. The material typically is semi-sheer or sheer and sometimes lined with laces making it appealing to the eyes.

 

These are certainly not the most comfortable sleepwear, but these have a hugged fit and come with adjustable straps for optimum pleasure. On 17th of August, ZEE5, one of India’s most popular OTT platforms dropped a brand new show called Bebaakee starring Kushal Tandon, Karan Jotwani and Shivjyoti Rajput and Indian audience is more excited than ever. The gripping story of three young adults, Bebaakee, presents a different take on love and friendship. Among many other love stories India has watched on television, this one is certainly like a breath of fresh air.

An Overview of Bebaakee-

Set in the pristine locations of Shimla, #Bebaakee is a story of two best friends who are more like brothers falling in love with the same girl. The story revolves around the lives of these three and an emotional and passionate take on love, friendship and enmity.

Imtiaz is the son of Sufiyaan’s father’s best friend and they grew up as best friends and blood-brothers. Imtiaz’s character is completely in contrast to Sufiyaan’s. He is caring, intelligent and respectful of all the relationships that he has.

Shiv Jyoti Rajput as Kainaat Sahni

Kainaat is a happy-go-lucky girl with dreams in her eyes and goals in her mind. She becomes the love interest of the two major characters of the series- Sufiyaan and Imtiaz as she joins their media house as a journalist.

Other than these three main characters there are many known faces in supporting roles such as Mohit Chauhan, Sameer Malhotra, Suchitra Pillai, Indraneel Bhattacharya, Saloni Vora, Aditi Vats, Ishaan Dhawan, Krutika Desai, Pubali Sanyal, and Pratik Sehajpal.

The Plot of Bebaakee-

The story of Bebaakee is the story of two best friends or more like brothers, Sufiyaan and Imtiaz, who are poles apart in characteristics but both are very strong personalities in their own way. The only thing that ties them together is the love for each other. In this situation, Kainaat enters Sufiyaan’s life as a journalist in the media house that he runs as a family business. After a short tiff between the two, their mutual love for journalism brings them closer and eventually they find strong chemistry between them.

Things take a turn for worse when Imtiaz falls for the same woman i.e. Kainaat. In one hand she has this passionate love Sufiyaan and on the other Imtiaz, a woman’s dream man with a gentle and caring nature. This triggers the childhood friendship between Sufiyaan and Imtiaz turn into extreme animosity that invokes a chain of unanticipated events that will throw the lives of them in distress.

Bebakee is certainly not something very new to Indian audience but what makes you still watch it is the extremely good direction, the raw and real acting of the cast, the gripping flow of events, the picturesque views of snowclad mountains of Shimla, Manali and the Himalayan foothills, beautiful cinematography and most importantly the emotions of love, friendship and drama.

The dialogues like “Bebaak mohabbat aakhir kya hoti hai? #dilkihitchki” or “Woh Ishq hi kya jismein paagalpan na ho…” are also very catchy and makes the audience even more attached to the characters.

The song Intehaan is a treat to your ears as well as your eyes. It beautifully connects to the audience. The emotions shown through the show is so real that it’s starting to seem very relatable from the very start.

It’s the first day of September that means Mahalaya is in about a couple of weeks and that marks the onset of the great Indian festive season. Keeping the unfavourable situation in mind, I am assuming most of us are not yet ready for the festivities which is quite normal! In today’s post, I will be showing you how you can make your existing outfit festive enough to rock the upcoming celebrations.

I have always believed in ‘less is more’. My wardrobe is always full of things I actually wear (despite a few). I am definitely not a hoarder when it comes to clothes. So, most of the time I am either repeating my outfits which you must know if you follow me on Instagram or I mix and match and honestly, that is my favourite thing to do especially with ethnic wear. If you think creatively, making an ethnic outfit from scratch isn’t that tough. All you need is a plain solid coloured kurta or tunic and a gorgeous dupatta like the one I got from Omgee Fashions.
