Hello, you guys! We have successfully reached the 5th day of the Fall Party. It makes me happy and sad at the same time. Happy, because I think I am doing great by posting everyday and sad because we have two more days until the party is over. But, not to worry, I have a lot of exciting posts coming after that! So, today’s post will be about an easy-peasy brownie recipe. I call this the lazy people’s brownie. Anyways, let’s start.
I love baked food, especially brownies because they are so easy to make and you can eat them hot! Waiting for a cake/brownie is just not possible for me. Recently, I found a lazy edition of brownie that you can make in your coffee mugs! If you are a person that gets midnight cravings, like me, this recipe is perfect for you. Put all of your ingredients in a mug, microwave it and you are ready! Check out the recipe below-
Ingredients:
All purpose flour (maida)- 50 g
Castor sugar- 30 g (Depends on how sweet you want your brownie to be. I like it semi-sweet.)
Butter- 2 tbsp (melted)
Coco Powder- 2 tbsp
Milk- 50 ml
Method:
First, mix the dry ingredients in a microwave-safe mug. Then add the wet ingredients. Keep mixing until the mixture turns smoother. Clean up the edges and put the mug in the oven. Microwave in 100% (900w) for 3 minutes. Take out the mug and serve hot with some vanilla ice-cream.
Isn’t it easy? Do try this recipe at home and let me know how yummy it was! I will be back again with a new post tomorrow. Till then, be happy & keep smiling!
Hello all, welcome to the fourth day of the Fall Party. Today, I decided to write about an outfit that I found has become my favourite this season. Let me show you-
I accessorized the whole outfit with a chunky golden neck piece, bought from Flipkart.
My flats are from Osca Donna, a comparatively new brand that provides hand made, designer shoes. These are the comfiest shoes I have ever worn in my life. The leather is not those hard ones that end up causing blisters to your feet. I found this brand on Flipkart.
My black sling back is my new BFF for quite sometime now. I prefer slings and satchels to handbags.
So, did you guys like this outfit? Comment if you are a casual lover like I am! Hope you are loving this #fallwithcherryontopblog series. If you do then don’t hesitate to share the posts on your social media platforms. I will be back again with a new post tomorrow. Don’t forget to join in. Till then, be safe & keep smiling!
Hello everyone, welcome to Day 3 of the Fall Party. I can’t believe it’s already day 3 of the week! I hope you are enjoying these posts. Hugs for those who have engaged with this activity and sharing the posts unconditionally. Love you all!
In today’s post I thought of sharing 5 of my favourite lipsticks which I consider perfect for Fall time. Most of them are drugstore brands. So, let’s get into the post!
1. Deborah Milano Rossetto Atomic Red Lipstick- 07: This lipsticks are really creamy thus moisturizing. My lips tend to get dry during this season and this lipstick fights that. I love the shade as well. It is very close to the Pantone Colour of the Year 2015, Marsala.
2. NYX Butter Lipstick- Razzle: I love this lip colour a lot beacause of the shade. It instantly brightens up your face. It’s creamy, feels literally like butter on your lips. You might have noticed it in my last haul. Read here.
3. Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick- P130: If you follow me on Instagram and Facebook, you will know that I posted a picture of mine wearing this lipstick and asked you to guess the range. This is the lipstick I was wearing in the picture. There is no lipstick in my kitty which as as Autumn-y (sorry for my poor vocabulary) as this one. The best part is that it retails for Rs 260 only!
4. MAC Girl About Town: This is again a creamy lipstick. The bright fuchsia shade is just perfect for Fall, at least for me it is.
5. MAC Ruby Woo: Last but not the least is my favourite of MAC lipsticks, Ruby Woo. A Fall makeup is incomplete without the classic red lipstick. Ruby Woo is the perfect red lipstick for me. The blue undertone best suits my complexion.
I hope you like the post. Don’t forget to share the post if you liked it. See you tomorrow in my new post. Till then be safe & keep smiling!

Day 1- I Love Fall Tag
Hello, you beautiful people! Welcome to the first day of the Fall Party! If you are following me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, then you might know I have announced to host a Fall Party on my blog. This party will be a week long with a new post each day till next Saturday (10th October). Make sure to engage with this activity as much as possible and make it a hit!
I chose to post a tag post on the first day just to introduce myself to you guys. Today I am doing the ‘I Love Fall Tag’. I was tagged by Sana from Sana’s Ramblings. Sana is a Pakistani beauty blogger and she has an awesome blog! Make sure to check out the blog. In this post I will be answering a few questions about Fall that Sana asked me. Let’s get started!
Hello all, how are you doing? I can’t believe September is about to bid goodbye and October is not too far away. I can’t suppress my excitement as Durga Puja starts on October 19th!! Gosh, one more year passed! Anyways, today’s post is going to be an OOTD post. A few weeks ago, we spontaneously planned for a day-out with our friends. This was an impromptu OOTD so excuse me for the quality of photos. I brought the usual point and shoot camera with me. The background and lighting aren’t as good as they should have been as the trip was not meant for photography. Anyhoo, I succeeded in choosing some good quality pictures for this post as I eagerly wanted to share the outfit with you guys.
You guys might know that I am not an ‘ethnics’ person. I feel extremely comfortable in my jeans or chinos and oversized blouses. I rarely choose to wear ethnic outfits only if there is any traditional function or wedding. This is the reason I merely have 4-5 traditional outfits. If I ever choose to wear an ethnic attire, I make sure that it is not heavy, bland and most importantly conventional.
The Kurti that I am wearing is my favourite at this moment because it is very lightweight, it has 3/4 sleeves and it has a high-low cut which is just what I need in my ethnics- cool, classy, casual! The material is Poly Crepe which is not breathable yet comfortable.
My sling bag is from Caprese. I love the faux leather material. The black and gold combo gives it a oomph. I love slings bags so much and this one is my current favourite!
That’s all about this post. Hope you like my outfit. Please let me know in the comments. I will come back with a new post soon. Till then, be happy & keep smiling!
My favourites of Day 1 of the Lakme Fashion Week are-
- ILK by Shikha Goel and Vinita Adhikari- ILK brought some freshness to the ramp with their ‘out of the box’ idea of fashion. From checkered prints to shirt-saree combo to sweatshirt dress, their collection reigned the ramp with individuality.
- Nikhil Thampi– Nikhil Thampi succeeded in wooing the audience as usual with his classy and elegant designs. He described his collection, Alchemy, to be an ‘amalgamation of modern and mythical India’. His clothes had the aspects of two sides of India, one modern and another classics. From bold colours to neutrals, his design was truly appropriate for a new-edge bride. I loved his collection!
- Manish Malhotra- How can I forget mentioning the man himself, Manish Malhotra. His designs always set the stage on fire. He showed some seriously classy dark colours, bold prints and bollywood style sequin work. The men’s collection was totally a pleasure to look at. And yes, the ever-so-hot ‘Kapoor lad’ was the show-stopper!
- Rinku Sobti- I liked the vibrant hues and out of the box designs of her collection. She re-created some modern designs on Indian fabrics. The gorgeous, Gauahar Khan walked the ramp for her.
- Anita Dongre- Designer Anita Dongre exhibited an exquisite collection of designs featuring her line, Grassroot which showcased outfits inspired by different Indian handicrafts. She also featured the Gujarati craftswomen in her show.
My favourites from Day 3 are-
- Ankur & Priyanka Modi (am:pm)– With monochromes to bold colours and motifs , Ankur and Priyanka Modi was able to make there own footprints on the ramp.
- Namrata Joshipura– Namrata Joshipura made a stunning spectrum of blue on the ramp with her collection. The cute Shraddha Kapoor walked the ramp for her. Here’s a look-
- Masaba Gupta– The vibrant hues and quirk prints made Masaba Gupta’s show a memorable one at the Lakme Fashion Week, 2015. Sooraj Pancholi walked the ramp for her.
- Urvashi Kaur– I loved the pastels and monochromatic hues and simplistic designs by her. She proves that fashion is not always the glitz and glamour.
- Anushree Reddy– Anushree Reddy’s show was full of bridal inspired clothing. From pastels to florals and sequin works, it was a delight to my eyes.
- Tarun Tahiliani– Tarun Tahiliani showcased the exquisite collection from Reliance Trends. His collection was gorgeous with basic bold colours like black with gold detailing, reds with geometric prints and grey with simplicity.
- Gaurav Gupta– This post will be incomplete without the mention of a magnificent Grand Finale by Gaurav Gupta, who transformed the ramp into a fairy tale. I have been reading different posts on social medias and saw some pictures and it was a delight to my eyes. This is a true example where fantasy met fashion and elegance met excellence. This was a perfect closing for this year’s Lakme Fashion Week. The bold and beautiful, Kareena Kapoor Khan walked the ramp for him.
