Hey all!

I am here again to present to you the videos I made while using the Hamilton Beach Espresso Maker. Also, here is an unboxing video for you too. This will help you to understand the functions better. I have also showed you a recipe of Cold Coffee my style! Check that out and let me know whether you liked it or not.

Easy-Peasy Cold Coffee Recipe

Ingredients: Instant coffee, sugar, water, milk, ice-cubes
Method: Make your espresso first. If you are using a coffee-maker or any espresso-maker then there is no hassle but if not then simply mix your instant coffee with hot water to make the espresso manually. Then add some sugar (as per your taste. I like my cold coffee less sweetened), cold milk and stir it till sugar gets dissolved into the coffee mixture. Add some ice-cubes to make it really cold. You can add a scoop of vanilla ice-cream to it to make it much more exciting!
I hope this seemed easy for you. Make it at home and let me know how it turned out!
P.S.- I apologize for the poor editing. I have not edited a video in my lifetime and I have just started trying it. So, please do forgive me.
Hello all, how are you doing. My exams are going on and I am not very well because of the chaotic and hectic life these days. Hope this sorts out soon.

Today I am going to talk about the Hamilton Beach Espresso Maker that I received long ago, sometime in February. Blogadda gave me this opportunity to try out a product from the amazing range of Hamilton Beach home appliance and without any hesitation I chose the Espresso and Cappuccino maker to try out as I am a coffee-lover. It has been more than a month and I finally got some time to express my opinion about the product.

Here is how the product looks-

It’s sleek, doesn’t occupy a lot of space and it’s not too heavy. I mean, if I can life it easily, anybody can. The body is metallic matte and steel in colour. The top part has a steel plate on which you can rest your coffee cup while making another one and it will remain hot. It has a water reservoir at the back with two level indicator- from minimum to maximum. It also comes with a ground espresso filter holder with two filters and one measuring cum tamping tool. You fill the filter with ground coffee and press the coffee with the help of the tamping tool. Then you set the filter holder in the slot and slide the lever all the way down, it will secure the filter holder and lock it. There the two indicators on the body, one red and one green. The red one indicates that the power in on and the green one indicates that the machine is ready to be used. In the middle of these two indicators there is a power switch and below that, there is a control knob that can be moves to both left and right direction. When it is positioned right, the steam comes out of the movable nozzle at the right, you can use the steam to boil and froth the milk; and when it is positioned left the espresso comes out of the two nozzles. It has a removable tray that collects the excess drips of coffee. All the parts are easily washable but it is NOT dishwasher-safe.
At first, I had faced some problem using this, specially because if the lever is very tight to pull down, but after the first use it became very easy. It is really easy to use it. It comes with a user’s manual that makes it easier.
Other than making espresso and cappuccino a gazillion times, I have also made Cinnamon Cappuccino and Cold Coffee a few times.
I am very grateful to Blogadda and Hamilton Beach that they chose me to try out this product. This Espresso maker makes every coffee-addict’s life simple.

Hello all, how are you doing? It’s getting hotter here in Bengal, day by day and I no longer feel the Spring charm. Sad 🙁

On a brighter note, I have been in a shopping spree lately and bought a bunch of things from Flipkart. My purchase included the new launch from Lakme’s Absolute range called the Lakme Absolute Sculpt Studio HD Matte lipsticks. Phew, let me breathe first! Anyways, these new lipsticks were launched during the Lakme Fashion Week, 2015. I pre-ordered this item on Flipkart.

To be honest, the camera has not done justice to the swatches. In reality it looks brighter and more vibrant.

Here are my initial thoughts about this lipstick

  • Gorgeous colour, very appropriate for any season, specially summers.
  • Pigmentation is nice but not up to the mark, in my opinion. I have to swipe it quite a few times to get the desired pigmentation to cover up the uneven tones of my lips.
  • Stays put for a long time, almost 5-6 hours on my lips.
  • It’s perfectly matte, not very drying, absolutely perfect for my preference.
  • Does not bleed.
  • Comes out well when wiped off, without tinting the lips.
I think this has become my current favourite. I have a feeling that this lipstick is going to be my staple lipstick for this summer. Though the price is on the higher side, this lipstick is worth every penny your spend. This is what I think about this lipstick as of now. I will update you if I have anything more to say about it. Till then be safe and keep smiling!

Hello all, I am here again with a brand new post. Recently I was selected for a wonderful activity by Blogadda in association with Lakme School of Style and #Fame. I was aware of such a beautiful initiative where ‘the famous bachelor’ and extremely talented film director, Karan Johar is the editor-in-chief but I had not checked out their YouTube channel so far. When I opened their videos list, I was overwhelmed with such array of amazing videos on different topics like beauty, fashion, DIY, social issues and what not!

Thoroughly going through the list I found a handful of my favourites among which I am going to talk about the two that I liked the most. The first thing (video) that caught my eyes is the this, obviously because of the much debated issue-

This video says the ugly truth, that too from the mouth of common people. When the world is racing against time towards modernity and progress, some people are pointing towards the women accusing them for their being a rape victim. Where some people seem to be present with a broad mind and an intellectual mindset, some just seem to be adamant to get out of the gloomy well. This video shows how even educated people have that ugly mindset and poor excuses to shut up the dirtiness of rape and the detestable deed of raping someone. It is amusing to see even the women of 21st century can think like this!
This video made me so filled with disgust that I had to scroll up and down to find something that would make my mood. And, what else than a beauty video. Being a selfie-addict I couldn’t help but watch this video-
In this video, Lakme School of Style’s beauty vlogger, Sukhneet Wadhwa shows how to do a makeup that is perfect for selfie. This is basically a tutorial where Sukhneet shows us how to do a makeup that is flawless and great for No-Filter selfies. Even if you are not a selfie person, you can definitely check out this makeup tutorial for it is very apt for any occasion. Flawless base, winged eyeliner, pink lips and peach-y cheeks make this a fun makeup look to try on.
So guys, do not forget to watch these and some more amazing videos on #LakmeSchoolOfStyle YouTube channel and I am sure you too would find some of your favourites there!

Hello all, how are you? My exams are still running and I have three more papers to attend. Anyways, today I am going to post my final verdict about the Happy Hair Challenge I took with Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition shampoo and conditioner duo.
A few weeks back, I started using the new Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition shampoo and conditioner and now as it is officially one month of using it, I am ready to share my views with you.
Before starting the review, I want you to know that I was made to fill in three evaluation forms starting from the initial to final stage of using the duo. In my last post I had shared with you my hair story- the problems and needs before using the shampoo and conditioner and in this post I will share with you my hair story after using them for 30 days.
The problems I faced before using these are hair fall, oily scalp and dandruff. You can see my previous post where I have talked about these issues. The first impression I had while using the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition shampoo was that it smelt amazing. It does not have that chemical-y strong scent, rather it was mildly scented which I love. The next thing I knew while applying it to my scalp was firstly, it easily and evenly distributed and lathered very well, secondly, it made my hair feel really smooth during the wash. Its consistency makes it spread evenly. It is not highly concentrated which is again a good quality for me as I don’t have to work hard to dilute it to make it easy for applying. A problem I have with most of the shampoos I have used recently is that the moment I start massaging them into the scalp the hair fall starts, but with this shampoo the hair fall during wash is just one-third of the usual which is really surprising. I won’t say that my hair fall has stopped entirely after using the shampoo for one month, but it surely has reduced noticeably. I did not find anything that would prove that this shampoo controls or prevent the greasiness of the scalp. I find its effect on oily scalp very common to any other shampoos, not anything palpable. I must tell you that it has worked on my dandruff problem quite well and I can see the difference after using it continuously.
The conditioner is supposed to work on scalp and on hair too but I have noticed that using it onto my scalp made the crown area very flat, no volume at all. So, I discontinued using it onto the scalp. Overall, the conditioner is a perfect complement for the shampoo and it works very well to keep the hair tamed. I did not face a great problem of unmanageable hair but the little did I have is now gone with the help of this shampoo and conditioner. My hair is visibly and touchably soft and smooth. It appears more shiny and well-behaved while I keep it open. It is now very easy to try various hair styles without the fear of facing messy hair problems.
The best things about Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition shampoo and conditioner are that this range is super affordable and totally true to its claims. This was my ultimate experience with the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition range. I would totally recommend it to all of you. Hope you liked this post. Will be back again with a new post. Till then stay safe and keep smiling!

I have always been an optimist; at least that is the thing I have been taught by my family members, especially my parents. There are a lot of times when optimism has helped me surviving the thorny circumstances. Be it, board exams or any personal crisis, I have not given up. I have never bowed down to the problems; I have rather faced it and fought it with optimism and obviously, self-confidence. Among the zillions of such instances, I would like to talk about two situations where optimism helped me survive the pain and wretchedness of those certain situations-
When I was a student of class II, my mother used to drop me to school in the morning and pick me up in the evening. That was a routine which was never skipped and a rule that was never violated. As the school was over, my mother was supposed to be standing at the gate for me, everyday, without a fail. One day, the routine was skipped and the rule was violated. My sister was merely of 3 years then, and my mother had to come to pick me up after doing all her works and that day the work was more than the usual days. So, she was late. When all my friends went to home with their mothers, one by one, I felt afraid, but stopped my tears with a hope that my mother will just arrive. Gradually, my classroom became vacant and so was I from within. I still stood at the gate watching the seniors going home, but still I was hopeful. Then finally she came, and I embraced her like I never had done before and then I cried hiding my face. I was so proud that I did not lose hope and I did not cry. I knew what optimism is.
Next story is a recent one, when my dog was seriously ill and he was in his deathbed. The doctor used to visit two times a day, injected him with antibiotics and steroids. He was alive on saline, two times a day. It was painful to see him like that, in fact, it was more terrible than just painful. He couldn’t walk or even open his eyes. He starved for seven days, did not drink even a droplet of water for a week and then the stings of the syringes. He was like a baby for us and seeing your baby like that is not easy. The hardest truth of life was lying before me, death was it. Strangely, at that time the least I thought about was death. I never thought he could die in front of me. Every time the doctor injected him, he seemed to be improving. As the saline bottles emptied, he seemed to be better than before. I think it was my love for him and my confidence in God that kept me strong during that crisis, or else, I would have broken so badly that I could never been out of the trauma. He died, but it never felt like that. It still doesn’t feel like that. It is like it was before, like he is still alive. I think it the optimism that has kept him alive even after his death.

The world should be filled with nothing but hopefulness, the moment we lose hope, we die a million times. We should be alive, from within.

Hi all, how was your day? Mine was a boring one. No one likes to study all day!

Anyways, today I have a very colourful post for you all. It’s March already, the transition time from Spring to Summer. Moreover, tomorrow is Bengal’s version of Holi. So, I thought of creating a look that is soft with a pop of colour. I chose the colours pink, peach and teal for this look. Have a look-

Products used-

(Face)

  • Lakme CC Cream
  • Kyolan Derma Colour Camouflage D-30
  • Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer
  • NYX Blush in Bourgeois Pig
  • Lakme 9 to 5 Flawless Matte Complexion Compact
(Eyes)
  • E.L.F. Eye-lid Primer
  • Beauty UK Eyeshadow Palette- Soho (Used the 1st row, 2nd Shade from the left)
  • Maybelline Colossal Liner
  • Maybelline Colossal Kajal
  • Inglot AMC Gel Eyeliner- 87
  • Maybelline Hyper Curl Mascara
(Lips)
  • Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick- Thrilling Pink
  • Maybelline High Shine Lip Gloss- Electric Shock

How to Achieve the Look-
Step 1: I started with my face first. I prepped my face with the Lakme CC Cream and then after color correcting my dark circles with the Kryolan Derma Color Camouflage cream, I concealed the under-eyes area and finished it off with a compact powder. Then I used a matte pink blush to the apples of my cheeks slightly dragging it diagonally.
You can apply a highlighter too, but as my skin has started getting very oily, I skipped it.
Step 2: Prep your eyes using a eyelid primer to prevent the eye-shadows from creasing. To make everything simple and short, I have used only one shadow to the lids. I took the peach-y shade from the Beauty UK palette, you can use any peach eye-shadow to achieve this look. After the eye-shadow, I then lined my upper lash-line with a liquid liner as thin as possible. Then, I tight-lined my eyes and applied a few coats of mascara only to the upper lashes. With the help of a stiff angled brush, I then lined my lower lash line with a teal coloured gel/cream eye-liner. This gives a sudden lift to the look.

Step 3: I applied a soft pink matte lipstick and then topped it off with a bright pink gloss. If you want the look to be less glossy, you can always blend the lip colours with the help of your finger.

That’s all, peeps! I hope you liked the look. The whole idea of this post is to share my ideas with you. You can always change the shades to create a whole new look as per your liking. If you ever re-create this look, don’t forget to share your pictures with me. I would like to showcase them on my social media. I will be back again very soon with a new post for you. Till then stay safe and keep smiling! Happy Holi in advance!
Save water, be kind to animals and celebrate the festival of colours safely and sincerely. Lots of love.

Hello all, how have you been? Today, I am going to post about the other two cute things I got from Crochita. I could not post it in my last post where I introduced the brand to you. Nevertheless, I am going to show you the cuties now. Check out-

The Crochita box was filled with four amazing items. Where two are extremely gorgeous, the other two are outstandingly cute.

Bow Hair Accessories (Ft. Crochita)

This bow clip, as you can see is definitely cute and funky. It can add a special touch to your attire. It can surely be rocked in a party and will definitely make you noticeable in the crowd. The material, I think is some sort of net with some sequins added to create the oomph.

Bow Hair Accessories (Ft. Crochita)

Next is this hair comb. Material is, I believe, chiffon. It is actually two separate piece of cloths, attached surely. The shape of the comb is perfect to fit on head and stays in place. You can add it to your loose bun or messy updo.

Crochita offers you the best things in a good price range. They also customize goodies for you. I liked a bow design but it was a hair-tie and I wanted to get a bow clip. What they did is just customized it and gave me a clip of the same design. You just have to make a wish and it will be fulfilled.
I have talked about more about Crochita in my previous introductory post. In case you missed it, here it is- My First OOTD Post| Black & Enchanted (Ft. Crochita). You can buy from their Facebook Store and choose from a rich stock of statement accessories, funky sunglasses and colourful hair accessories.
This is for now, guys. I hope you enjoyed the post. Pour in your views in the comment section. Two more posts coming up tomorrow, so, stay tuned for that. Till then stay safe and keep smiling!

Having been born and raised in a semi joint family, I had the opportunity to learn a lot of different things from each and every member of my family. Where my mother taught me the basics of a human life and reading books and writing postcards to my maternal grandparents, my grandmother taught me to be firm in my decisions, to be strong yet sensitive.
My childhood days were like what every child should get. Learning a new thing everyday- related to life, relationships, sensibility, books and toys. My grandfather was the only one to tell me stories from Panchatantra to his imaginary incidents and popular fairytales. I still can feel how mesmerized I used to be every time the Prince found his Princess in my grandfathers stories. Growing up I understood that those were not merely fancy fairytales but they were life lessons that had been injected into my mind at the very beginning of my life. The stories taught me that I shouldn’t lose hope and give up when there is a war between good and evil, they taught me that there is always a hope however thorny the roads might be, they taught me that the good will always prevail over the evil. The morals of the Panchatantra stories are etched in my mind in a way that I can clearly judge the good and the bad.
Apart from all these, the lessons that helped me in excelling as a human being had been taught by my father- the source of all my strength and creativity. He instilled the passion for creating and composing into my psyche in such a way that it has now become an inseparable part of me. The goals I achieved and the milestones I reached today are only because of him. Well, that was a part of his teachings, now let’s talk about the few others. Like any other fathers, my father is also the pillar of my success and progress. He was the only one to support me every time I needed it. I knew that my father won’t abhor me or stop talking to me if I bring home a poor report card. I knew he would call me, talk to me and want to know the reason behind the result. I think that is the only reason why I never had to keep mum about or hide the weirdest and the most awful things from my parents. I knew that whatever the problem is, it could only be solved if I disclose it before him. My father always has encouraged me and my sister to do whatever we liked, unlike many others who push their children to do anything. My father never forced me to anything, he never told me to come first or second in class, he has always emphasized on becoming a good person and a perfect human being. His teachings, advices and encouragement have made me what I am today. He is surely the one who has created the ‘human’ inside me.

The Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Shampoo & Conditioner Duo and My Current Hair Story
In recent times, a lot of you have told me that I have gorgeous hair. Thank you for that. But, that’s not the story. Let me tell you why. Yes, I am blessed with a voluminous hair. Once I shampoo my hair it just becomes so puffy but it’s not thick usually. I used to have very thick hair, but as time passed on my hair grew weaker and thinner. It surely looks voluminous and thick after washing and blow drying but what we see is not always the truth.

I got a chance to use Garnier‘s new launch which is a duo called Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition shampoo and conditioner. I wish to review them later this month so I thought of sharing my current hair story and the factors I am concerned about. Let’s have a look-

The first and most terrible problem I am facing now-a-days is hair fall. It might be extreme educational stress that I am going through now or my ignorant lifestyle. I tend to sleep very late and I consume very less water. I don’t think my diet has affected my hair fall as I love veggies and I eat a lot of them daily.
Secondly, I am facing dandruff problem throughout the year. It’s not flaky, it’s rather very sticky. I have used different anti-dandruff shampoos but they failed to solve the problem. The dandruff is gone after washing but it keeps returning in a few days.

Thirdly, I have a oily scalp problem. I wash my hair in every 2 days but this has not helped me at all. I feel a need to wash my hair every alternate day as it starts feeling greasy from the second day.

So, this the current condition of my hair. I am looking forward to the Garnier Triple Nutrition duo. I hope they succeeds in eliminating the extremely stubborn dandruff and oiliness. Stay tuned to read my next post on this for updates. Till then stay safe and keep smiling!
