Hi, guys! Today I am back with another skincare product review. For the last few months, I have been trying out various new products. One of them is this TBC by Nature Power Magic Peeling Gel Scrub. I am a big fan of exfoliating as it instantly makes the skin bright and renewed. Now without wasting more time, let’s jump straight into the review.

Price- Rs 350 for 100g

Key Ingredients- Pineapple, Pomegranate, Keratinase: Effectively peel and help uncover a smooth, fresh, new complexion.

Packaging- TBC by Nature Power Magic Peeling Gel Scrub comes in a regular red-coloured plastic tube packaging. The tube has a secure closer that ensures there is no spillage. The tube comes in an outer packaging made out of cardboard. The packaging makes it easy to carry around.

How to Use- You have to apply this scrub on clean, dry skin and then massage in a circular motion to roll, lift and sweep away dead skin cells. Next step is to rinse your face well. For extra enzymatic exfoliation, leave on skin for one to five minutes then rinse.

My Experience with TBC by Nature Power Magic Peeling Gel Scrub

TBC by Nature Power Magic Peeling Gel Scrub Review | Cherry On Top

The first time I read the product description as written on the pack, I knew I had to try it. It said, “A peeling gel that visibly rolls, lifts, and sweeps away dead skin cells when massaged onto skin. Multi-action enzymes (pineapple, pomegranate, and keratinase) along with cellulose effectively peel and help uncover a smooth, fresh, new complexion without drying, irritating, or causing undue stress to skin. It removes impurities and decongests clogged pores for a youthful, radiant look.” Their claim was so huge and fascinating that it immediately made me want to try it.

I have been trying this scrub for a week now and now I am ready to share my review with you. TBC by Nature Power Magic Peeling Gel Scrub is a mild exfoliator with fine exfoliating particles. The granules don’t cause any kind of irritation. Despite being used on a dry skin, it is not harsh on the skin. The gel spreads evenly on your face when you apply it so that it is easy to massage in. This product does not lather up.

Now, let’s talk about its effectiveness. TBC by Nature Power Magic Peeling Gel Scrub mildly exfoliates the skin leaving it soft, supple and brighter. It is very effective in removing dead cells and blackheads. Although I haven’t seen anything dramatic like ‘rolling, lifting and sweeping away dead skin’ but it definitely cleanses the face, helps unclog the pores and peels the dead skin cells off your face. This product contains β-White whitening peptides and it’s made using Nanotechnology. Honestly, I don’t know much about these. I haven’t seen any whitening effect on my skin but it definitely brightens up my face whenever I use it.

Hi, guys! I am back again with yet another post for you. A lot of you got really excited when I shared a picture of the Juicy Chemistry Tea Tree & Charcoal Face Mask that I bought from Nykaa during their Valentine’s Day sale. I have been using it since then and I am so impressed with it that I felt the need to share my thoughts with you guys. So, here I am sharing my review on the Juicy Chemistry Tea Tree & Charcoal Face Mask.

Price- Rs 300 for 25g, Rs 550 for 50g ( Buy here)

Ingredients- Oatmeal, Organic rice flour, Prunus dulcis (Almond meal), Juglans regia (Walnut), Ocimum basilicum (Basil), Rosa (Rose), Lavandula (Lavender), Mentha (Peppermint), Fuller’s earth, Activated Carbon, Mentha piperita (Peppermint essential oil), Piper nigrum (Black pepper essential oil), Citrus bergamia (Bergamot essential oil), Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea tree essential oil), Juniperus communis (Juniper berry essential oil)

Juicy Chemistry Tea Tree & Charcoal Face Mask Review | Cherry On Top

Packaging- Juicy Chemistry Tea Tree & Charcoal Face Mask comes in a simple transparent plastic jar with a screw-open lid. A wooden spoon also comes along with the product. The label on the tub has all the information including ingredients, usage and effectiveness. I really like the simplicity of the packaging. It looks simple but definitely not cheap.

How to Use- Juicy Chemistry Tea Tree & Charcoal Face Mask comes in a powder form. So, you need to make a paste out of it using either water or milk. I like to use it with organic rose water.

My Experience with Juicy Chemistry Tea Tree & Charcoal Face Mask

Juicy Chemistry Tea Tree & Charcoal Face Mask Review | Cherry On Top

As I said earlier, I have been using this for the past few weeks. I use this pack twice a week and every time I use it I see visible results. I use rosewater to make a paste out of the powder. When the paste is made, you can see that it is a little crumbly. This is because of the finely milled oatmeal and almond. I apply the mask evenly on my face using a spatula and then let it dry until its semi-wet. Then, I just rub it on my face in circular motions and finally wash it off using lukewarm water. I finish it off by splashing cold water on my face.

The oatmeal and almond meal in this mask efficiently exfoliates the skin and removes blackheads. One of the two main ingredients, activated carbon, sucks out any dirt from the pores and unclog them. Another main ingredient is Tea tree oil which is really effective on acne. Its antibacterial property helps fight acne. Then there is peppermint which is great for oily skin as it controls the secretion of excessive sebum and prevents the pores from being clogged and causing acne. My skin is not acne-prone so I can’t tell you if this face pack really works on acne or not.

Juicy Chemistry Tea Tree & Charcoal Face Mask Review | Cherry On Top

I would highly recommend this mask to you. The smaller size comes for Rs 300 only and you get the benefits of a scrub and a mask in one product. This is definitely a great value for money. This product is all-natural, contains no preservative and good for sensitive skin. Those who have oily or combination skin must try it out this summer. This controls excess oiliness without making the skin dry.

What’s your favourite face mask at this moment?

My Experience with Vichy Normaderm Night Detox Anti-Imperfection Clarifying Care

Vichy Normaderm Night Detox Review | Cherry On Top

It’s been almost 15 days since I have started using the Vichy Normaderm Night Detox and it took me a couple of days to see the results. You already know how oily my skin is especially around the t-zone. During the winter, my skin was dry but as the weather has started to change, my skin has started to become oily too. That is the moment when I started using this night treatment and it completely changed my night time skincare routine. But before telling you how it changed the game, let me tell you why is this cream important to you. Vichy says-

“At night, oily skin accumulates toxins and produces an excess of sebum which leads to the development of imperfections and bad skin quality. Normal skin produces less toxins and sebum and wakes up to clean skin. Upon awakening, oily skin shows a dull complexion and dirty look.”

This cream is meant to target the excess sebum that your skin produces overnight and it also supposedly detoxifies it. It also clears out your pores and makes them less visible. I don’t have acne issues but the occasional ones that I get haven’t made any appearance during these 15 days. I am blessed with a clear skin so I cannot really tell you if it really works on blemishes and imperfections or not but I can definitely tell you that it controls sebum. Yes, it does. I used to wake up with an extremely oily t-zone which has completely gone when I have this overnight cream on. My face looks fresher and brighter. Also, after I wash my face with a facial cleanser, my skin doesn’t feel dehydrated. The Vichy Normaderm Night Detox gives you a long-lasting moisturization. It also blurs the pores to some extent. It gives a bit cooling sensation which I think I am going to love during the summers.

I am in love with this product. This product is a must-have for those who have oily, acne-prone skin. This cream is also non-comedogenic which means that it does not clog your pores and it is also non-allergenic and suitable for sensitive skin. This cream is an amalgamation of two important technologies- Detox Technology and Purifying Technology. The combination of Eperuline, LHA and Salicylic Acid. Eperuline works as an anti-aging agent. Then there is a concoction of Perlite and absorbing powders which work in purifying your skin. I love this product and I can swear by it. I am looking forward to seeing how well it work during the hot and humid summer.

Have you used anything from Vichy yet?

Hello, beautiful people! As I promised I am back with a new post. In today’s post, I’m going to review and swatch two lipsticks- Irish Cofee and Caramel Margarita from Nykaa So Matte Fall/Winter Collection. If you are a regular reader of this blog then you would know that I had reviewed Nykaa’ So Matte lipsticks before, when they were just launched.

Price- 399INR

The packaging, formulation and longevity of the Nykaa So Matte Fall/Winter Collection lipsticks are exactly same as their regular So Matte collection. So, I am not going to make this post a lengthy one just by writing the same words. If you haven’t checked the previous post about the Nykaa So Matte Lipsticks then I’d suggest you check it out for a detailed discussion on the above-mentioned aspects of these lipsticks.

Among a huge range of shades, I chose to pick two (almost) nude/neutral shades because I have been loving neutrals these days. I checked out a couple of swatch videos and ended up liking these two, namely Irish Coffee and Caramel Margarita. I thought they would be perfect for any season and would suit my skin tone perfectly.

Irish Coffee is a pretty nude, brown shade that would suit Indian skin tone very well. This shade would be the perfect nude for fair to medium skin tones.

Caramel Margarita is a very warm-toned brown that again would suit all Indian skin tones. I love this shade the most.

Overall, I love these two shades from the Nykaa So Matte Fall/Winter Collection. These two shades suit most Indian skin tones, these are perfect for everyday wear, these are perfect for both daytime and night time, these are hydrating, creamy, easy to apply, give a smooth and even pigmentation, last for almost 4-5 hours. These lipsticks do not bleed but they do transfer (obviously, because they are not completely matte). I feel very comfortable wearing these lipsticks. You can check out the entire collection here.

Hello, guys! Remember, I told you about Himalaya Herbals’ Rich Cocoa Intensive Body Lotion in my post on the Himalaya Herbals Winter Care Range? Now, Himalaya Herbals has introduced a new version of that lotion, that is the Rich Cocoa Butter Body Cream. This new variant is exclusively formulated for dry to very dry skin. When I received this product in my mail, I was really happy. I want to thank Himalaya Herbals for creating something like this. Now, let’s get into the review of the Himalaya Herbals Rich Cocoa Butter Body Cream.

I have been a huge fan of Himalaya Herbals since I was a teenager. My first face wash was from Himalaya Herbals and since then it has been my holy grail skin care brand. I was extremely excited to know that they have come up with their very own range of body butters or, as they call it, body creams. Although my facial skin type is the combination type, the rest of my body is dry. In winters, it becomes even drier. During winters, I need something that is extra-nourishing, extra-hydrating and extra-longlasting. Himalaya Herbals Rich Cocoa Butter Body Cream gives me that extra TLC.

Packaging- The Himalaya Herbals Rich Cocoa Butter Body Cream comes in a chocolate-coloured plastic tub packaging with a screw lid. On both the top and the bottom sides of the tub are labels containing all the information about the product. There is an extra protective covering underneath the lid to prevent the product from spilling. The packaging makes it very easy to travel with.

Ingredients-

Texture & Formula- The Himalaya Herbals Rich Cocoa Butter Body Cream is supposed to be a body butter, thus, it is very obvious that it would have a thicker consistency than a body lotion or a normal cream. The texture of this product is very creamy, looks and feels very thick but when you apply it onto your body, it blends really well and gets absorbed into the skin very fast. The butter-like formula ensures nourishment and good hydration. Despite being a thicker consistency, it does not feel sticky.

My Experience with Himalaya Herbals Rich Cocoa Butter Body Cream

Himalaya Herbals Rich Cocoa Butter Body Cream Review, Price, Buy Online| Cherry On Top

It’s been more than a week since I started using the Himalaya Herbals Rich Cocoa Butter Body Cream and I can tell you that I am completely in love with this. Quality wise, I think it would be fair enough to compare this body cream with the body butters I used from The Body Shop. The formulation is definitely richer than the Rich Cocoa Intensive Body Lotion, but it feels very light-weight on the skin and definitely does not make it greasy. Although it is a thick consistency, but it also has a fast-absorbing formula which I love about it. The ingredients contain herbal actives and Himalaya Herbals is a brand that can be relied on when it comes to their ingredients.

The key ingredient of this body cream is Cocoa butter which is known to work wonders for dry skin. The intense emollient property of Cocoa butter nourishes and moisturizes the skin and makes it soft and supple. The Vitamin E in it protects the skin from any external harm that is caused by the sun or pollution. The hydration lasts for a really long time. The longest I had it on my skin was for 9 to 9 and a half hours which is pretty satisfying for me. I would definitely buy another tub as soon as it is finished. The Rich Cocoa Butter Lip Balm was another of my favourites from this range. The I would highly recommend you guys to try it out yourself if you are looking for a body butter that matches the quality of a TBS body butter but in a cheaper price.

Have any of you tried the Himalaya Herbals Rich Cocoa Butter Body Cream yet?

Hello, guys! How are you doing? This winter, I have been trying a few of moisturisers and winter care creams. I liked a couple of them and some of them did not impress me at all. So, I thought of sharing with you what I liked and simply avoid what I didn’t. In today’s post, I am going to review one of the moisturisers that I liked, that is, TBC by Nature Honey & Almond Winter Care Nourishing Cream.

I have used this TBC by Nature Honey & Almond Winter Care Nourishing Cream for a couple of weeks to know if it suits me or not, mainly because I wanted to share a detailed review with you guys. Eventually, it has become one of my favourites as I have mentioned earlier. I am not a fan of cold creams as they make my skin greasy in the name of ‘glow’. I have had a few bad experiences with different brands previously. But, the TBC by Nature Honey & Almond Winter Care Nourishing Cream is an exception. It is definitely not the most light-weight cream I have ever used but it definitely is a fast-absorbing yet very moisturising cold cream. Although I haven’t tested the 24-hour long-lasting test (Obviously!), but it keeps the skin hydrated for a long time. The best thing about the cream is that it is free from parabens. Also, it has SPF 15 in it so you don’t need a separate sunscreen! What I don’t like about this cream is that although it does not make the skin look oily initially but with time I can observe a little bit oiliness around my t-zone. I won’t recommend this cream to those who have oily to very oily skin. Those who have combination skin can make it work in the coldest months. I think this cream is ideal for those who have very dry, flaky skin during winters. To sum up, I want to say that TBC by Nature Honey & Almond Winter Care Nourishing Cream is a great formula for the price you pay. Check out their Facebook Page for more.

When it comes to skincare, French brands have always ruled the market. Vichy is one of the leading French skincare brands which is not only famous in France but also across the globe. Vichy is also loved by Indian women as it has proved to be a trustworthy brand that works great for the Indian wet and dry tropical climate. I have recently switched things a little bit in my skincare routine and have included the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum in it. I have been using this serum for quite some time now so I thought of sharing a review of it with all of you. Let’s start-

Price- Rs 1850/- for 30ml (Buy at Amazon, Nykaa)

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum Review| Cherry On Top

Packaging- The Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum comes in a pretty blue glass bottle with a pump dispenser. The pump is protected with a clear plastic cap which closes tightly ensuring no spillage. Although the look of the product is great but it is not safe for travelling. The glass bottle has to be handled very carefully which is quite a task for me.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum Review| Cherry On Top

Ingredients- Aqua/Water, Glycerin, Dimethicone, PEG/PPG/Polybutylene Glycol-8/5/3 Glycerin, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Dimethiconol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Phenoxyethanol, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Ammonium Polyacryldimethyltauramide/Ammonium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Poloxamer 338, Disodium EDTA, Caprylyl Glycol, Citric Acid, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Acrylates/ C 10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Cross polymer, Parfum/Fragrance, Code F.I.L. B163732/2

Texture- Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum is a whitish serum that has a thin, silicone-y texture when it comes out of the bottle but when rubbed between the fingers the texture becomes watery. Having a thin texture allows it to get absorbed easily and instantly into the skin.

How to Use- After thoroughly cleaning and toning your face, take out a small amount of the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum onto your palms and dab it onto your face. A full pump is enough for the entire face and neck area. Use it twice a day- in the morning and at the night.

I have been using this product for almost a month now and I can definitely say that it has become the most favourite part of my winter skincare. If you have normal to dry skin or if you have combination skin that gets dry during winters then this product is for you. I use it twice a day before moisturizing my skin. Before starting off with my experience with the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum, I jus want to let you know a little bit more about my skin and its concerns. I generally have a combination skin which means normal skin with an oily t-zone. During most part of the year, it behaves like that but during winters it becomes very dry. Sometimes I observe the appearance of dry patches or skin peeling around my mouth and my nose. Last year, I had a hard time dealing with a couple of dry patches around my lips which was really irritating. I do not usually get acne on my face except for that time of the month or if I get any kind of anxiety or stress or if I skip my skincare routine which is a rare case.

The Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum is really hydrating as you can guess from the name itself. At least for my skin type, this product hydrates my face enough for it to need any extra moisturizer. Those who have very dry skin must apply a moisturizer. Although I do not skip on my moisturizer , it keeps my face moisturized for good 9-10 hours when applied on its own. As it gives a nice hydration, it can be used as a multipurpose skincare product in summers.

Not only the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum gives a surge of hydration to the skin, but it also replenishes the skin, improves the skin texture and makes it soft and supple for a long time. You can definitely notice a healthy glow on your face after using it. I won’t say that it has brought about a dramatic change to my skin but it has definitely improved it a bit. This year, I did not observe any kind of dry-patches or skin peeling on my skin which was severe last year. To add more, Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum is hypoallergenic, free from parabens, non-comedogenic, non-oily and safe for sensitive skin. The only bad thing about this product is that it contains silicone.

With this, I sum up my first review of 2017. Hope you had a great New Year’s Eve. Wish you a very happy new year. May this new year bring new opportunities to your lives. When it comes to an instant makeover and a no-fuss, running-late makeup look, I am very much dependent on intense black eyeliners and statement lip colours. Ever since I finished my Ikonic Gel Eyeliner Pencil I have been hunting for something like that. Finally, my quest came to an end when I found the Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal.

Faces has recently launched this iconic product which is basically an eye pencil with the formula of a gel liner. I have used this Gel Kajal for quite a few times and now I am ready to share my own views on the product.

Price- Rs 549 for 1.2g (Buy here)

Packaging- Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal comes in a black cardboard box with all the details printed on it. The kajal is just like a normal eyeliner pencil with a smudger sponge at the end. Both the ends are protected with transparent plastic caps. It is not a retractable eye pencil. You have to sharpen it in order to keep using it. It comes with its own sharpener.

Texture- The texture of the Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal is very creamy. It glides on the eyelids very smoothly and effortlessly which ensures an easy and even application. Even in this cold weather, it has not become dry. The finish is definitely not matte. It gives a semi-matte to a glossy finish.

Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal Review| Cherry On Top

Pigmentation- The pigmentation of the Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal is amazing! It gives out an intense black colour which is great for special occasions. I have barely used any eyeliner/kajal from an Indian brand that has this kind of dark black colour.

Wear Time- The staying power of the Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal is quite average. It is very soft and smooth to apply but it does not last for a long time. On my eyelids, it lasted for about 2-3 hours at a stretch. It lasts longer on the upper lash line in comparison to the lower lash line.

My Experience with the Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal

Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal Review| Cherry On Top

To sum up, I can say that I really liked the formula of this kajal. The intensity is really great. I really liked how it glided on my eyelids and gave an opaque black line in a single swipe. Being it a soft and smooth formula, smudging it out is very easy. I always reach out for this kajal whenever I have to glam up within a very short time. This kajal would be a great option for those who need a quick glam makeup without using a tonne of products and for those who are always on the go. The sad part is that it does not stay long on the waterline. I have oily waterline and the product started to smudge pretty quick on my bottom lashline. If you are one who has extremely oily eyelids then this product is not for you.  Except for the fact that it needs sharpening quite often (which results in wastage of product) and its wear time I liked everything about the Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal. This product did not cause any kind of allergy or irritation to my eyes.

If you want me to do a Quick Smoky Eye Tutorial using this then please let me know in the comment. I’ll be very happy to do it for you.

Winter is here and I am pretty sure most of you are dealing with various skin problems, be it major or minor. I am someone who has dry skin during winters and combination during the rest of the year. So, my skin concerns would most definitely be different from yours. Gladly, at this time of the year, Himalaya herbals has come up with their entire range of Winter Care that has products for all skin types. Isn’t it great? If you are following me on my social media platforms (do check them out and show some love) then you must have already seen the huge box of goodies that Himalaya had sent to me. Today, I’ll be sharing all the details of the Himalaya Herbals Winter Care Range. So, are you ready? Let’s start-

All the three variants are very nourishing, penetrates deep into the skin, keeps the skin hydrated for a really long time. Which one product from the Himalaya Herbals Winter Care Range you want to try first?

Disclaimer- Himalaya Herbals sent their entire Winter Care range for me to try and share an honest review with you all.

Hi, guys! Hope you all are doing great. If you are following me for a long time, then you would know that I am a big fan of lip balms. This is something that I can not live without. I always carry a lip balm in my purse wherever I go. I have little dehydrated lips throughout the year. My lips get dry very easily. Plus, I am a matte lipstick lover and I want my lips to look nourished and plump whenever I apply a matte lipstick or matte lip stain. Thus, I cannot think my life without a lip balm. A couple of months ago, a brand called Island Kiss sent me a package containing three of their products. Today, I am going to review those three variants. So, let’s get started.

Island Kiss is a Lip Care  Brand inspired by Tropical Beaches across the world, fragrant coasts, salty air and lush notes of fruit and flower.” Island Kiss manufactures great quality lip moisturisers. All their products are 100% natural, pure and organic. The best thing is that their products are not tested on animals. A big yay for that! Check out more about them on their website http://www.myislandkiss.com/

The three variants that I received are Alma Vanilla & Inges Lavender, Cherry Blossom Flores and Puerto Berry Blush. I will be reviewing each of the variants individually.

Packaging- All the three variants of the Island Kiss lip moisturisers come in plastic, squeezy tubes with a screw cap closure. The applicator part is slanted resulting in a precise and easy application. Each tube has all the information like shade name, ingredients, direction to use written on it. So, you don’t need to worry if you lose the outer packaging.

My Experience with Island Kiss Tropique Pomade Lip Moisturizers

Island Kiss Lip Moisturisers Review| Cherry On Top
(L-R) Cherry Blossom Flores, Alma Vanilla & Inges Lavender, Puerto Berry Blush

I have been using the Island Kiss lip moisturisers for quite some time now and I have noted a few points about them that I am going to share with you now. First of all, do not expect them to be as hydrating as any other lip balm or chapsticks. These are lip moisturisers and they provide more lustre than hydration to your lips. Unlike a lip balm or lip butter, they are really light-weight. That’s why they are good for summers but in winters they cannot moisturise the lips very well and turns dry soon. These lip moisturisers are more like lip glosses. Apart from that, I like them for their lightweight property, they smell really good, they are organic, made of natural ingredients, do not contain lead, have SPF 15 and most importantly they are cruelty-free. The variants Cherry Blossom Flores and Puerto Berry Blush are more pigmented compared to the Alma Vanilla & Inges Lavender one. Puerto Berry Blush is my favourite of them all only because of the pigmentation and texture. It is also the most long lasting among the three.

Being gel/gloss like texture, you cannot wear them underneath your matte lipstick. They are good for daily use. The plastic tube packaging makes it perfect to travel with and also very hygienic. I would not recommend these if you are looking for something to try out this winter, but they are definitely great for summers. People with extremely dry or chapped lips should avoid them. I will repurchase the Alma Vanilla & Inges Lavender and Puerto Berry Blush whenever I run out of them.

Have you used any one of these Island Kiss lip moisturisers before? How was your experience?
