Description- Astaberry Neem Face Wash is based on principles of Ayurveda. It deeply cleanses the skin eliminating all impurities from the face. It prevents the occurrence of pimples, acne and blemishes.Neem has antibacterial properties which kill the germs and make face clear and clean.
Core Ingredients- Neem Extract, Aloe Vera Extract, Basil Extract, Lemon juice.
Other Ingredients- Ammonium Lauryl Ether Sulphate, Cocoamidopropylebetain, Lactic Acid, Glycerin, Proplyn Glycol, Atlas G 1823, Cucumber Extract, Lemon Extract, Neem Extract, Basil Extract, Aloe Vera Extract, Tea Tree Oil, Preservatives, Color, Perfume, Polyquat 10, DM water.
How to Use- Gently massage over wet face and neck with fingertips, lather and rinse, morning and evening.

My Experience with Astaberry Neem & Aloe Face Wash
I love neem-based face washes a lot. I feel they cleanse the face from within and give me a glowing healthy skin. I have been using this Astaberry Neem & Aloe Face Wash for more than a week and I feel I have noticed a few differences in my skin after I started using it. Astaberry Neem & Aloe Face Wash has the benefits of Neem, Aloe Vera, Basil and Lemon. Neem soothes irritation and prevents acne. It is rich in antioxidants. Aloe Vera is a natural moisturiser, it works to alleviate the effects of UV radiation, hydrates and softens the skin. Basil has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties that purify the skin. Lemon is a natural source of Vitamin C, it clears and tones the skin.
This face wash leaves my skin clean and soft every time I use it. It makes the skin soft and supple and adds a healthy glow to it. It effectively removes sebum and impurities from the face and makes it look and feel fresh. Astaberry Neem & Aloe Face Wash is for all skin types.
I am quite happy with the results considering the price of the product. It can be termed as a good face wash within budget. I would recommend you guys to try it out.

Hi, guys! Hope you all are doing good. Today’s post is going to be my everyday makeup bag essentials- things that I carry in my makeup bag whenever I am out of the door. Packaging your makeup bag is quite a task. You need to stop yourself from overpacking as your makeup bag should fit in your handbag that is already overstuffed with sweat block wipes, sunglass casesand umbrellas.
I have a certain policy for my everyday makeup bag. First of all, things that I would carry inside my makeup bag has to be my absolute favourites. I don’t carry experimental products in my bag. Secondly, my makeup bag must have fewer products but there should be a balance of makeup and skincare. Lastly, my makeup bag contents barely change. Maybe I replace the lipsticks depending on my mood or the compact depending on the season, but that’s it. I don’t carry a lot of products in my bag and these products are always the same.
One tip to not overpack your everyday makeup bag is to understand the difference between what you need and what you want.
If you follow me on Snapchat (sayantinee), you must have seen me unboxing the goodie bag I received at the Nykaa Beauty Bar event. This tiny bottle of toning water comes in handy when you are out in the sun. I always keep a bottle of mist with me during summers. These mists have multipurpose usage. You can use them as toner, to freshen up your face or to prevent your foundation from caking up. I’ll share more about it in another post.
I need to carry a lip balm in my everyday makeup bag and when I say ‘need’, I mean it. I cannot do without a lip balm. My lips get chapped every now and then and I cannot tolerate that feeling. When I am on the go, I like to use this lip balm in particular because I wear lipstick and a tinted lip balm is easier to use onto tinted lips. The bonus is this lip balm has SPF 20 so I am sorted for the summer!
A compact is a must in your makeup bag because duh, touch ups! During summers, we feel the need of touching up a bit too often. Our face feels sweaty, looks patchy and if you haven’t applied waterproof foundation then it might slip and slide. I never forget my compact so that I don’t experience the gross stuff. The Maybelline White Superfresh 12H Whitening+Perfecting compact is my favourite during summers is because it keeps my face oil-free for almost 4 hours and sometimes longer than that and it gives out a fresh, bright look to my skin. You can see I have hit the pan. Yay!
I generally do not carry makeup brushes with me but I have been carrying this Expert Face Brush by Real Techniques that I got long ago since I lost the puff that comes with my Maybelline compact. This brush can be used for anything! I just use it for touch ups while I am on the go.
This is my holy grail concealer at the moment. I love how it comes with a brush-tip applicator. I am in the shade medium beige which is a bit dark for my skin tone. I use to before my foundation just to correct my under eyes and it does a very good job. I carry it in case I need it. Although I might not need it, anyhoo I want to feel secure!
This kajal is LOVE! The intense jet black colour, high pigmentation and long lasting power have made it the numero uno eyeliner in my stash. I love its texture. It smoothly glides on the eyes. I have a full-fledged review on this on my blog.
This is the one lipstick that I reach for almost every day. This is in the shade Rose Bud. This is a rosy pink shade with a hint of mauve in it. The tone is a bit muted which makes it perfect for every day, especially for daytime wear. On days I am not wearing this, I am wearing ColourPop’s Calypso which is a nude shade from their Ultra Satin range. But mostly, you will find this Wet n Wild lipstick in my everyday makeup bag.
Dual Compact Mirror
I never ever forget to carry this mirror with me. Amit got me this from Siliguri. I love it because it’s handy, takes little space, has a magnified mirror on one side and it’s always good to carry a mirror in your purse.

With my first wash, I knew that this is a good cleanser for combination skin. This product lathers up so well despite being a soap-free face wash. It keeps oiliness at bay for a long time, for about 4-5 hours which is a boon for ladies with oily skin. As I do not have much acne on my skin, I cannot comment on the pimple prevention point. But, after using it twice daily for two days, it has reduced that one pimple I have on my forehead which I am very happy for. It leaves my skin soft, supple and oil-free after every wash. Also, the skin feels fresh and looks glowy. Seeing that, it can be called the best face wash for women.

In this post, I will be discussing why I love it and want you to try yourselves. Today’s product in the spotlight is the O3+ Eye Circle Cream. Before I went to the VLCC event I saw a lot of you have queries regarding under eye darkness, dullness, bags and fine lines. Since my VLCC experience post contained only cosmetological treatments, I thought I should share something that is within budget and available everywhere.

Before proceeding with my review, you guys should know the reason behind dark circles. So, you will get to know whether this product will work for you or not.
Reasons for Under-eye Dark Circles
There are various factors that cause dark circles-
Dark circles can be genetic,
it can occur due to lack of sleep and
sometimes the unclear bowel leads to dark under-eyes.
There are some other factors as well that we should take into consideration. Those are-
thinning of the under-eye skin,
deep-set eye type.
sometimes, there are medical issues also that cause dark under-eye.
Now, that you know the reasons, you can definitely determine your reason. If it’s genetic then it’s almost non-curable. If it’s a medical issue then you need to see a dermatologist before buying any cosmetic product. If the problem is your deep-set eyes then again it cannot be cured. For other reasons, O3+ Eye Circle Cream can become your rescuer.

This cream is not sticky, so it does not cling on to your skin or feel heavy. This cream gets absorbed into your skin very quickly.
My Experience with the O3+ Eye Circle Cream
I have been using the O3+ Eye Circle Cream for almost a month and I am ready to share my own experience with you all. But before proceeding, let me tell you that I don’t have heavy dark circles. The slight darkness that I have is mainly due to lack of sleep and strain on the eyes. I spend more than 12 hours a day on the computer and that has taken a toll on me even though I use AMC glasses to protect my eyes. So, if you want to diminish your dark circles then rest your body properly and sleep for at least 8 hours in a day. Otherwise, nothing is going to work on you. I am slowly working on improving my sleeping habit. But you know, a full-time blogger’s limitations!
Anyway, coming back to my experience, this cream is no miracle product. It does not diminish your dark circles like magic. I am using it, as I said earlier, for the past month and I can see a slight difference under my eyes. It definitely did not remove the dark circles but lessened the appearance of it. Although it hasn’t done anything special for the dark circles using it twice every day has definitely improved the texture of the skin under my eyes.
The best that O3+ Eye Circle Cream does is that it hydrates the under-eye area pretty well. It deeply nourishes the skin without making it look oily. The hydration is long-lasting, which is a great thing. It doesn’t brighten up the skin or diminish the fine lines but definitely smoothes out the skin surface. Taking that into consideration, O3+ Eye Circle Cream can be called the best drugstore eye cream for hydration or the best hydrating eye cream within budget.
Overall, I am quite enjoying using this eye cream these days. I would suggest you buy this if your major concern is hydration under the eyes.

Nude lips are currently in vogue. It took me a while to give in to the temptation simply because Indian lipstick brands do not have a satisfactory range of nude lipsticks. Nude lipsticks are perfect for everyday use, for office or college. They are also great to pair up with a bold statement eye makeup. Depending on your skin tone, you can choose the perfect nude lipstick for you from the tonnes of shades available in the market. In today’s post, I’ve shared 5 of my current favourite nude lipsticks. One of them is a creamy lipstick and the rest four are liquid matte lipsticks. This post will be a combination of swatches and mini reviews. So, let’s start-
When Maybelline launched their Colorshow lipstick range, I fell for it. It has a range of beautiful shades from pinks to reds to oranges and neutrals. At that time, I had slowly started to incline towards neutral shades, leaving my comfort zone (read reds and pinks) behind. So, I ended up picking this Caramel Custard shade from the collection.

Shade- As the name suggests, Caramel Custard is a caramel brown/cinnamon shade, perfect for everyday wear. I have worn this to my university every single day!
Pros-
Creamy and smooth texture.
Effortlessly glides on the lips.
Feels light on the lips.
Sleek, travel-friendly packaging.
Doesn’t bleed at all.
Cons-
Transfers and that’s so obvious because of the texture.
Doesn’t last long. 3 hours max on my lips.
Tends to melt in summers.
Gerard Cosmetics Hydra-Matte Liquid Lipstick- Cher
I’ve been loving it ever since I bought it! The colour, the texture I love everything about this liquid lipstick.
Price- $20
Shade- The shade is a mauvy nude shade which compliments most fair to medium Indian skin tones.
Pros-
Creamy formula that sets matte.
Despite being creamy, the formula is also thin. So, it feels light on the lips.
Not at all drying. (If you haven’t used ColourPop Ultra Mattes, you don’t know what ‘drying’ means!)
I am so in love with this beauty. This product is so nice that I thank the Lord for making me able to buy this liquid lipstick. This is the best liquid lipstick formula I’ve ever tried. The texture is not runny nor thick/creamy, just in between.
Price- $20
Shade- Kind of a burnt orange/rusty shade, very neutral and very wearable.
Pros-
Thin in texture yet very pigmented
Applies completely opaque.
Dries completely matte, but stays a bit tacky. It’s not a powdery matte formula. Thus, feels comfortable.
Lightweight. Doesn’t feel like I have something on my lips.
Doesn’t smudge, smear or transfer.
Lasts for 9-10 hours on my lips.

ColourPop Ultra Satin Lips- Calypso
I’ve been started loving ColourPop liquid lipsticks a lot. Someone was selling these unused ColourPop liquid lipsticks, so I thought to give them a shot as a trial before I buy some new ones from their website. Among the three, one is an Ultra Satin one and this is the one I love the most.
Price- $6
Shade– Calypso is a warm-toned nude shade with a hint of pink.
This is another of my recent purchases. I love this for its colour payoff and longevity. This is one of the best nude lipsticks in India.
Price- Rs 845
Shade- The shade is a mauvy nude shade almost identical to Cher by Gerard Cosmetics. The only difference is Cher is a bit darker as it has more brown tones that Chambor 402. The latter is a bit light and has more pink undertones.
Pros-
Smooth application.
Doesn’t feel heavy.
Not drying. Feels comfortable on the lips.
Doesn’t transfer.
Waterproof formula.
Long lasting.
Cons-
Does budge from the centre after a few hours of wearing, or if you have food.
Can accentuate fine lines.

VLCC is India’s leading wellness brand that is the one-stop destination for all your skin and hair concerns. They have various beauty services and personal care services. Also known for their weight loss services, VLCC has several therapies and treatments for beauty and wellness using natural sciences. In this post, I am going to talk about the VLCC skin treatments.
At the event, we had Mr Rohit Murgai, Head- Beauty Sales, VLCC Healthcare who discussed with us various beauty treatments that VLCC has to offer. We got to know about various usual services like Vampire Facelift, Medavita Treatment, Kerafusion Treatment, Microblading and two new treatments that have been introduced in VLCC, Kolkata i.e. Ionic Detox and Cryofreeze Therapy. I’ll elaborately talk about each of them later. Also, read till the end to see if your questions have been answered!

Different VLCC Skin Treatments
Microblading
Most of us must have heard about Microblading, but despite that, we are not much familiar with the term. Mainly because the treatment is not easily accessible and not many places in India have this facility at this moment. We were being informed about this process by Mr Murgai when we got to know the difference between Microblading and Eyebrow Tattoos. Microblading can be called semi-permanent makeup. In this process, pigments are inserted into the epidermis, whereas in tattoos, pigments are inserted deep into the skin. We were lucky enough to have witnessed a Microblading session up close during our event. The expert had a pen-like tool with which she was actually drawing some hair-like strokes on the client’s eyebrows. This process takes almost up to two hours to complete depending on the thickness followed by a touch-up within a couple of weeks. We were told that these pigments last for 15-20 months. VLCC is a trustworthy place to stop by for microblading in India, mainly because they have the best experts.
Ionic Detox
Mr Rohit Murgai told us about the two new treatments that have recently been introduced to VLCC, Kolkata. One of them is Ionic Detox. In this therapy, the client goes through a pedicure which sucks out all the toxins from different organs of the client’s body. The description sounded was quite interesting. We were told that the colour of the water in the pedicure tub changes from transparent to black, green or muddy brown depending on the organs that release toxins.
Cryofreeze Therapy
Another thing that is new to VLCC, Kolkata is this Cryofreeze Therapy. This is mainly an anti-ageing therapy that gives you an instantaneous glow. This is a 20-minute session in which your body temperature is taken down to sub-zero level to constrict your blood vessels. Now, when the temperature is black to normal, the blood gushes back to the entire body giving it an instant tightness, glow and it also instantly reduces the appearance of your fine lines. This therapy is another intriguing one.
Now, we were requested to ask our questions to Mr Murgai and he answered all of them with a smile. I am going to list down Mr Murgai’s answers to the question that you had asked me on Instagram and Facebook. Most of the cures included cosmetological help.
1. Remedy for Hair loss
Firstly, Mr Murgai made it clear that hair loss is curable at any age. There are different therapies that you can try out like Medavita or Mesotherapy in which certain proteins and vitamins are infused into your scalp. Else, you can go for hair transplant, hair patches and toupees or Polydioxanone Threads which is an advanced solution of Androgenetic Alopecia in which hair strands are thread embedded into your scalp.
2. Remedy for Frizz
The more humidity, the more frizz. At VLCC, they have a treatment called Kerafusion that is a keratin therapy for hair. In this process, your hair is given a coating of Kerafusion which makes it more manageable. Another thing is called Velour that is an advanced, in-depth Medavita treatment that is a re-energizing frizz-reduction treatment.
3. Remedy for Open Pores
You need to go through a daily CTM (Cleansing-Toning-Moisturizing) routine. Exfoliate your skin on a regular basis. Use a scrub that has walnut, avoid those that have small beads. There is a tool called derma roller that helps to reduce the appearance of open pores. You can also take help of collagen-based products that helps fill in the pores from within. One of the VLCC skin treatments include Vampire Facelift which is great for treating open pores, as well as dark elbows and knees.
4. Remedy for Dark Circles
Dark Circle happens because of the lesser blood circulation under your eyes. You need to increase the microcirculation there by getting yourself a proper treatment. You can go for a vision energy treatment or you can try eye cell treatment which is best for deeper dark circles. The only thing to consider and remember is that dark circles never go away completely, a treatment can only lessen their appearances.

We were also introduced to botox and fillers by Dr Das who is a very skilled dermatologist. Those are very common ways of improving one’s facial aesthetics and slow down ageing. Also, one very important thing that I have learnt there is that everyone person is born with a different skin type. So, we all need a skincare that is tailor-made keeping that particular skin type and skin conditions in mind. If two people have oily skin that doesn’t mean that the oil-free products that suit one will also suit the other. We need to get our skin tested to find the best products according to what our skin needs.

When we are young, we don’t value things in life as we believe that we can get away with anything. Growing up, we learn so many things that actually benefit us in the long run. For me, it was skincare. Skincare was the thing I paid no heed to. The reason behind it was undoubtedly the lack of knowledge. The moment I started learning about things that do and don’t benefit my skin, I started taking my skincare quite seriously. In fact, I started a proper basic skincare ‘routine’ just a couple of years ago.
It took me years to understand that my skin has some special requirements that need to be taken care of. I was lucky that I had not caused any severe damage to my skin. But, not many are fortunate. That is why I wanted to share the mistakes I made when I was younger so that you who are still teenagers learn from them. So, here we go
1. Washing Your Face At Least Twice a Day
Talking about basic skincare, the one common thing I can think of is washing your face. People who don’t follow any skincare routine, at least wash their face religiously. But, do they do that twice a day, are the most likely to forget washing their face at night? In most of the cases, yes. People wash their face in the morning for a dose of freshness but as the day proceeds, they start to become tired and lethargic which leads to skipping the nighttime skincare.
This practice is definitely a no-no if you want to have clearer and healthier skin. During the day, your skin surface gathers dirt, grime, sebum and what not! You must get rid of those impurities before sleep to prevent those things from clogging your pores and producing acne.
Make sure you are using a cleanser that is meant for your skin type. Use a gentle/mild cleanser if you have sensitive skin, an oil-free foaming cleanser if you have oily skin and a hydrating, soap-free cleanser if you have dry skin.
Speaking of clogged pores and acne, how can I miss the part that is often overlooked but really important in basic skincare. Exfoliation is a must for your skin, no matter how much you neglect it. Scrubbing your face at least twice a week makes sure your skin gets rid of all the impurities and dead cells which will result in an even skin surface. When your dead cells are removed and new cells are uncovered, you know that all the toner, serum or moisturiser that you use actually goes into the skin instead of stopping there on the outer surface. Exfoliation also helps unclog your pores, helping it breathe properly.
If you have oily skin then you must not skip this part. People with oily skin have more open pores because of which they secrete more sebum. If you don’t exfoliate your oily skin religiously then the impurities will clog them which will result in breakouts.
Remember to exfoliate and not over-exfoliate your skin.
One thing that I have been doing wrong all my life is not moisturising my face during summer. It’s not too long ago when I actually changed this practice. Every single skin-type needs proper hydration. If you don’t moisturize your face, it will reflect more signs of dullness, ageing and fatigue. The drier your skin, the more chances of appearance of fine lines. Now, people with dry and normal skin cannot think of moisturizing their skin. It’s the people with combination to oily skin type who often skin the moisturization part thinking that oily skin does not need hydration, especially in summers.
Just because your skin looks greasy doesn’t mean it’s properly hydrated. People with combination to oily skin use products that help control the secretion of sebum and make your pores shrink so that it secretes less oil. In this process, we actually make it dehydrated. You definitely need a dose of hydration to make it healthy. You should use an oil-free moisturizer for your skin.
4. Don’t Rub Under Your Eyes
This is another thing that I have learnt so late. Now, I want to warn you while you are young so that you don’t make the same mistake. The skin under our eyes is extremely delicate and thin. It gets thinner as you age. Rubbing them can cause irritation, it can also accelerate the appearance of fine lines under your eyes. This is something we don’t need at all. I have spent the majority of my life rubbing under my eyes for removing that stubborn kajal and it has caused me a couple of baby-fine lines there.
You should always use a good eye makeup remover to remove your makeup so that you don’t end up rubbing it. Take some makeup remover onto two cotton rounds and press them against your eyes for 10 seconds and gently wipe the makeup off of your eyes. You will see how easily it removes your eye makeup, even the intense ones.
Applying eye cream is a must for as you start ageing the skin under your eyes tends to sag and also becomes thinner. You need some firming eye cream to help tighten the skin. Take the eye cream onto the tip of your ring finger and gently dab it on the under-eye area. The ring finger is advisable because it producesthe least pressure. If you are not concerned about ageing skin or fine lines, you can always use a brightening eye cream for obvious reasons. Our under-eye area tends to get dehydrated, so we need to give it a boost of moisture. Try and make it a part of your basic skincare.
5. Don’t Go to Bed with Makeup
Never ever do this! The primer or base makeup that you apply fill in all your pores, suffocate the skin and results in a massive breakout (or a few pimples). The mascara that you have on your lashes makes them weak and then they tend to fall. Make sure to break down all your makeup using a good makeup remover and then follow it by a good wash using a deep cleaning face wash. One product I can swear by is the Maybelline Clean Express Total Clean. I have already finished three bottles of it!
I like to scrub my face after washing my face to make sure that my pores are open and can breathe. This is one of the most important points to remember in your basic skincare.
6. Invest in Good Products
In skincare, what you give is what you get in return. Consider this as an investment that going to benefit you in the long run. Use good products, quality products. Don’t hesitate in spending your money (Obviously, don’t make a hole in your pocket!) on quality products. Use paraben-free products, collagen-based products for your basic skincare.
7. Always Read the Ingredients List
If you are even a little bit aware of harsh chemicals and how they affect your skin, you must read the list of ingredients written on the product that you are buying. Don’t go for products that don’t have a proper ingredients list unless you have read several reviews on those products. Avoid anything that has SLS/SLES, Paraben, Silicone, Propylene Glycol etc.

Hi, guys! Hope you are doing well in hot and humid weather. Today, I’ll be reviewing another skincare product from Organic Harvest. You might have read my review on their Masseuscious Damage Control Face Wash. I have fallen in love with their products since then. So now, when they wanted me to try the new Organic Harvest Activ Cleansing Milk, I readily accepted! I have been using this product for a few weeks now and I am all set to share my review with you. Let’s start-
Packaging- The product comes in a bottle form with a pump dispenser that has a transparent plastic cap. The packaging is sturdy but it isn’t as travel-friendly as I would like it to be. The bottle is quite heavy and I don’t think it’a convenient enough to carry a heavy bottle along.
Key Ingredients- Aqua, Certified organic Decyl glycoside, Provitamin B5, Propylene glycol,Sodium benzoate, Potassium sorbate and Perfume. No Color Added.
How to Use- “Wet your face. Apply the product to your face in a circular motion, making sure each spot gets covered with cleanser. Keep massaging in a circular motion for thirty seconds to a minute. Rinse thoroughly.”
How It Works- The richness of natural minerals and Provitamin B5 in this fortifying cleanser soothes the skin by removing excess oil without tightening or over drying.
My Experience with Organic Harvest Activ Cleansing Milk for Normal Skin
As I told you earlier, I have been using the Organic Harvest Activ Cleansing Milk for the past few weeks and I can tell you that I am impressed with it. I am too picky and choosy when it comes to skincare products but this product has successfully made a place in my heart (read skincare stash). The product says that it is meant for normal skin types but it works equally great for those who have combination skin. I have combination skin, my t-zone is nothing less than an oil-field during summers. This product works wonders on me.
I had a feeling that cream/lotion based cleansers will make me more 0ily but that’s not the case for this product. It applies as a lotion but when I rinse it off my face, there’s no trace of oil left on my skin. Instead, it gives my skin the perfect amount of hydration and suppleness.
This product removes makeup quite effectively. For makeup removal, I apply it on my face in circular motions, giving it enough time to break down all the makeup and then wipe it off my face using a damp cotton round. Then, I wash my face thoroughly with cold water. One thing I must tell you guys, don’t use it around your eye area. Once I tried to remove my eye makeup with it and it burnt my eyes like hell. Never ever do that!
The Organic Harvest Activ Cleansing Milk is free from parabens, mineral oils, animal products and alcohol. This product is very gentle on the skin. I would recommend this product to you if you have normal to combination skin and you want a cleanser that would get rid of all the makeup and impurities without dehydrating your skin.
