My new year resolution was to post thrice a week- on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and I am happy to see that I have successfully pulled off the first week! Today, I am going to review an iconic hair styling product- Bedhead by TIGI After Party Smoothing Cream. 

TIGI is a brand that makes amazing hair care and styling products. Their Beadhead range has some great quality products for almost all types of hair. We all have one or the other hair concerns, and each is different from the other. In my case, I have an oily scalp and dry, frizzy hair. My hair concern has always been to tame that frizzy, unruly hair until I found this miracle by TIGI. My hairstyling game has changed completely since I got introduced to the Bedhead by TIGI After Party Smoothing Cream. I’ll tell you how.

How to Use- Take a dime-size amount of the Bedhead by TIGI After Party Smoothing Cream and apply to your dry hair before or after blow-drying. I apply it through the length of my hair, avoiding the scalp area.

You want to look perfect, your dress needs to be a unique one, your makeup needs to be on point, your hair needs to be well-behaved. That was all that I wanted for my bestie’s wedding. That was the first time I tried out the Bedhead by TIGI After Party Smoothing Cream to tame my frizzy hair as I had planned to keep my hair open. The wedding took place almost around midnight and I was all decked up since the evening. I was amazed to see how brilliantly the product had worked on my hair. I kept my hair in place for about 10 hours! I could have hardly believed this if it wasn’t me who experienced it. For 10 long hours, my hair stayed in place, no flyaways, no frizz, no tangles. The shine and the softness remain till the next wash. I am utterly impressed by the product and I would definitely recommend you guys to give it a shot.

The best thing is that it does all the good work without weighing down the hair or making it look or feel greasy. It maintains the volume of the hair and does not make it limp. I am utterly impressed by the product and I would definitely recommend you guys to give it a shot.

You’d have watched me use my new Tupperware Ultimo Speedy Chef to mix the cake batter. Now in this post, I’ll share the simple recipe with you and will let you know the features of the cute little device that I used. The recipe was originally published on POPxo‘s Facebook page. So, let’s get started-

5-Minute Oreo Cake

Ingredients:

  • Oreo cookies (Choco Crème)- 20 pcs
  • Sugar (Powdered)- 2 tbsp
  • Baking Powder- 3/4 tsp
  • Milk- 1 cup

Method:

  • Break the biscuits into smaller pieces.
  • Take a food processor and grind the pieces.
  • Take it out in a bowl.
  • Add the sugar, baking powder and give it a stir.
  • Add milk and mix it well.
  • Pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  • Put it in the microwave for 5 minutes.
  • Voila, your 5-minute Oreo Cake is ready!

I mixed everything using my Tupperware Ultimo Speedy Chef which helped me mix everything easily and uniformly.

Tupperware Ultimo Speedy Chef is such a fuss-free, easy-to-use kitchen tool for working men and women and also for those who don’t like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen and for those who are constantly in search of something that makes cooking easier. How to Use- You have to pump it to dispense the product out of the bottle. The pump dispenses the product out through the brush-head in the form of foam. So, you don’t have to lather the product up within your palms, the entire thing is done for you. When you see the product getting out of the bottle through the brush-head, you have to apply it onto your face with the brush. It is recommended to use in upward strokes in circular motions.

My Experience with Organic Harvest Masseuscious Damage Control Cleanser-

Ever since I received this product, I have been using it twice a day. It cleanses the face quite effectively without making it dry or stretchy. The shea butter and olive oil in it make sure your skin has the perfect balance of hydration even after washing it off. The brush that the product comes with is really helpful in order to get the cleanser work on your skin. It makes sure that the strokes are gentle and your skin is not irritated throughout the cleansing process. The silicone bristles are really soft on the skin so it does not trouble any existing acne on your face. This product works nicely on oily/combination skin, it is really effective in removing excessive oil from the face, leaving it oil-free for a long time.  I generally wake up with a greasy face every morning, but using this cleanser at night has made a difference. I don’t notice that much oiliness on my face when I wake up in the morning. Using this product in the morning helps me achieve a fresh look throughout the day. Although this cleanser works wonders in removing dirt and oiliness from your face, it barely does anything to reduce or remove acne. My face has been breaking out a lot lately so I can clearly tell that this cleanser has done nothing for my breakouts. I must use this for another couple of weeks and see if it prevents the appearance of acne or reduces the frequency. I will update you guys if anything like this happens.

Overall, I quite liked the Organic Harvest Masseuscious Damage Control cleanser. Being an Organic Harvest products, this cleanser has the benefit of plants so you don’t need to worry about the ingredients. The ingredients are 100% safe. The attached brush is an added benefit as it massages the product with the right amount of pressure as well as it gently exfoliates your skin while cleansing. I really liked the idea. The only thing bothered me is the price. I think it is a bit expensive for some. Other than that, I liked this product and I will recommend this to you guys.

Hi, guys! Hope you are doing great. Today, I am going to talk about my experience at the Club Salon where I went out to try one of their skin care treatments. If you are following me on Snapchat (Username- sayantinee) then you might have seen the whole story behind it. I also shared my thoughts there. I was looking for a good therapy for my skin as I was facing a lot of problems, one of them being dullness. My face was lacking that inner glow and it was looking really unhealthy. Recently, when I was invited to try one of the facial treatments offered by Club Salon, I readily agreed.

I decided to go for the Sarat Bose Road branch as it was more convenient for me than the other four. I went there on last Thursday. I had already an appointment there. It is great to make an appointment before you step in to save time and also you can ask for your preferred staff at the time of appointment. As soon as I reached there I was welcomed by their courteous staff. Then I was requested to make myself comfortable and offered a glass of water which, I felt, was really sweet and comforting.

Then, I was introduced to Doma, who was supposed to do my facial. She escorted me to the facial room. The room was prim and tidy and was smelling nice. There were dim lights which made the ambience very soothing and relaxing. Now, let me take you through the entire regimen, step-by-step.

At first, she examined my face to determine my skin type. She told me that I have a normal skin which was shocking as I have always known that I have a combination skin! Anyhoo, she also told me that my face is a bit tanned. After examining my face, she chose the suitable O3+ products for the facial. She first cleansed my face with a cleansing lotion and then applied a de-tanning mask made of Eucalyptus and camphor. The mask has a bit of cooling and burning sensation and also a strong scent. She left the mask on my skin for about 10 minutes and then wiped it off with a wet washcloth.

Now, she applied another mask which, I was told, has a skin whitening property. It was basically a peel-off mask that was also wiped off after 10-15 minutes. Next, another mask was applied which had whitening and brightening benefits. After leaving it for 10-15 minutes, she started massaging my face with a massage cream which is mainly made to make your skin glow from the inside. The massage was really relaxing and rejuvenating that I almost fell asleep. It was quite obvious, from the strokes she used, that she is a very skilled lady and also has a lot of experience. I can’t exactly recall how many minutes she spent on massaging my face but it was definitely 15-20 minutes. After the massage was over, all my fatigue was gone and there was an instant glow to my skin which was so evident.

I really liked the hour-long (probably, more) session. This particular ‘Shine & Glow from Agelock’ facial regime will cost you approximately Rs2,900 which is totally worth spending considering the result it offers.

They have free shipping on $40 for Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam and the USA and on $60 for the rest of the world.  Throughout their process of dispatch and delivery, they kept me posted about all the steps. It took exactly 12 days for the products to reach me from the date of dispatch which is great. Beauty Friends II Essence Mask Sheet Pack (Royal Jelly)-This sheet mask is supposed to moisturize your face and it does that perfectly. The description tells you to apply it on a well-cleansed face and leave it there for 20-30. You are not supposed to rinse your face off after removing the mask, allowing the nutrients to soak into your skin. This mask made my skin soft and supple. I applied it in the night and the effect lasted till the next morning. This mask is priced at $0.80.

Four Season Multi Vita Brightening Active Mask- This mask, as the name suggests, contains multi vitamins such as Vitamin B5, Vitamin C and Vitamin E which are known to work wonders for your skin. This mask is supposed to do a lot of things like whitening, regeneration, antibacterial wound treatment, anti-aging, moisturizing, prevention of acne, prevention of allergy and immunity control. I just used this for once and I have only noticed a revitalized skin after using it. It does not do anything to the complexion of your skin. This is priced at $0.95.

Luke Mugwort Nose Cleansing Strip // Luke Lemon Tea Tree Nose Cleansing Strip- I never used a nose strip before I got to try these. You have to apply it on slightly wet nose for them to stick to the nose perfectly. You need to let them sit there until they become dry and then you have to pull them off the nose. I showed a demo of it on my Snapchat if you remember. Both the strips works amazing on blackhead and whiteheads. They remove them perfectly. Yes, it hurts a bit but it is definitely worth the pain. I am looking forward to getting a box full of them! The Lemon tea tree one has a strong tea tree fragrance which some of you may not like. I did not have any problem with that. They are priced at $0.65 each.

It’s Skin Todak Todak Pack Nutrition (Wash-Off Mask) with Honey and Coconut- If you guys follow me on Snapchat you will know the whole process of me trying this mask for the first time. It is basically a gel based face pack, almost has a jelly-like texture to it and it is transparent. It doesn’t dry off on your face, unlike other wash-off masks. When I tried it for the first time,  I was not satisfied with it. But, after that, I found it to be great for my skin. It moisturized my skin very well, plus, it made my skin tighter. It can be used as a wash-off mask and also as a sleeping mask. It feels a bit warm on the and extremely hydrating. This pack contains coconut and manuka honey. It comes in a 10ml packaging which good for at least two uses. I used it for four times. This one is a bit pricey, $2.85 for a 10ml pack.

Overall, I liked these products from Skin18.com a lot. All these products are tested to treat various skin problems. I myself have seen and experienced good results on my skin. They did not cause any allergies or breakouts. I am looking forward to trying their eye-patches and more sheet masks. I highly recommend the sheet masks* from Skin18.com.

*Sheet masks are ready-made masks made of disposable cotton sheets, drenched in a solution of nutrients that are supposed to work as a facial treatment for various purposes.

Overall, I liked the packaging as it is sturdy, travel-friendly, spill-proof and worth the price you pay.

Product- The product is a slightly greenish water-based liquid which is not sticky at all. It is nothing like a hair oil. It has a particular smell to it which I cannot explain to you properly, but the smell reminds me of those herbal hair treatments. If you have a sensitive nose then the smell might bother you, but the scent doesn’t linger for a long time. I found the smell mild and soothing. This product is supposed to be a leave-in tonic, thus, it is formulated as a non-sticky, non-oily, water-based product which does not make your hair look greasy.

How To Use- The directions to application is mentioned on the outer packaging. The tonic is advised to be used on a consistent schedule to notice the result. You have to take 4-8ml of product and rub gently on all over the scalp. Do not massage it. It is advised to use the product twice every day to see an optimal result. The best would be to apply it after washing your hair. Do not rinse off after applying.

My Experience with Hair for Sure- Hair Regrowth Treatment:

As I mentioned earlier, I have been using this product for almost a month. I have several issues with my hair, mainly hair fall. I have been using this product twice a day. I use it on the wet scalp in the morning and on the dry scalp at night. I like to use it either with my fingertips or with a cotton ball. During this time period, I have missed only a week. Other than that, I have been using it religiously. When it comes to my remark, I would say that it has succeeded in reducing the hair fall to a great extent. I no longer face hair fall issues special while combing through my hair or during washing it. So far as hair growth or regrowth is concerned, I have not observed any satisfactory result.

Overall, this product is really effective if you are facing any severe hair fall issues. I would like to use this for another month, continuously, to see if it actually helps in the regrowth of my hair. Hair for Sure does not make your hair smooth, silky or shiny and it does not treat dandruff.

Hello all, happy weekend! First of all, I want to say that I am deeply affected by the news of the attacks in Paris. My heart goes out for the families of the victims. Let’s pray for Paris and the entire World. Let there be peace on earth.

Finally, all the festivities are over (I feel so low writing this) for now, until Christmas and all of us are headed back to our works. So, I am back with a new post for you guys. Today, I am going to talk about my October favorites. I know I am a little too late for this. It’s mid-November and I am writing about my October faves. But, there is always an excuse (which I am not going to repeat again!). So, without further ado, let me show you the products that have made it to my list of favourites.

1. Vichy Eau Thermale- (150ml for 650/-)

I got this product in May and I have been using it continuously since then. I use it so much that I think I am now totally addicted to it. Since it’s getting cold and dry, I had to put it aside but believe me, it’s a tough job! This miraculous spray has done a great job for me during those scorching summer days. It made my face feel fresh and rejuvenated every time I sprayed it onto my face. I am kind of addicted to facial mists now and the Vichy Thermal Water is the reason behind it. 2. Kama Ayurveda Pure Rose Water (200ml for 875/-)

If you are following this blog for quite some time, you must know that I had posted about the Kama Ayurveda Festive Gift Box for Durga Puja about a month ago. The box contained three full-sized skincare products which included the Pure Rose Water. This is perfect for you if you have oily skin issues. I have a very oily t-zone and the Rose Water has helped me controlling the oiliness around the area. I use it twice a day as a toner onto my cleansed face. As I told you earlier, I am a facial mist lover and this is certainly one of my favourites. Again, a full review on it is coming really soon.

3. Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Solution 

I used this product throughout the month of October to remove my makeup. It proved to be a saviour for during those festive days. I totally depended on this product. I just want to tell you that it did not worked so well for waterproof mascaras. It did remove it but not entirely. I have moved on to something new and it has already become my favourite. 4. Lakme Absolute Sculpt Studio Hi-Definition Matte Lipstick in Coral Flare 

This was my favourite go to lipstick for the month of October. I love the shade. It’s coral and it suits my skin tone so very well. I love everything about it from the texture to the formula. 5. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Unapologetic 

If you guys remember my Aplava Haul then you will know that this lip product was one of the items I got from that website. At first, I was a little skeptical about the shade because I thought it might wash me out but fortunately it did not. It goes really well with my complexion. 6. Fame App

Now, on to the tech fave. The #Fame app has been my favourite ever since I did my first beam! I got an invitation from the Fame team to do some live beams (beams are just live streaming, nothing exceptional!) to which I readily agreed. As a blogger, the best thing that can happen to you ever is to chat with your readers and get their feedback, live! I did not want to miss the golden opportunity, so I created an account and started beaming. Now, I have been beaming for a month and a half and I am loving this experience. Hi all, I hope you all are doing great. I can’t believe it’s already September, that means a few more weeks to Durga Puja! If you follow me on Facebook then you might know that I was about to review two products last week, but due to some reasons (read Internet Issues) it got delayed. Today’s review is one of the them. Today, I am going to review a hair care product by Garnier Fructis that was launched long ago. It’s the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Oil-in-Cream. I know I am too late to review this but better late than never, right?

Let’s get into the review-

The Oil-in-Cream by Garnier Fructis was launched a few months ago along with a shampoo and conditioner duo from the same range. I have reviewed the Triple Nutrition Shampoo and Conditioner here.

Packaging- Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Oil-in-Cream comes in a yellow, plastic tube packaging with a flip open cap.

Product- Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Oil-in-Cream is a white, cream like product. Despite being a cream is does not feel heavy on your hair as the consistency is more like a lotion than a thick cream. It’s a lightweight, non-greasy nice-smelling product.

My thoughts- First of all, let me tell you all that my hair is not as healthy as it seems in photos. In real life, it is frizzy, unruly and thin. The first time I used this product I was completely overwhelmed by the fact that it actually made my hair shiny, soft and more manageable. I won’t be exaggerating if I say that this product is my ‘deep-conditioning treatment in a bottle‘. This product can be used in three ways- 

  • As an overnight treatment, by massaging the product into your hair and scalp for 1-2 minutes and leaving it overnight. 
  • As an oil, by massaging it into your scalp for 1-2 minutes, just before washing your hair.
  • As a leave-in conditioner, by applying it onto you hair lengths after treating your hair shampoo and conditioner. 

However, I have used only the 2nd and 3rd way. As my scalp is very oily, I have skipped the overnight use. Overnight oil treatments always freaks me out as whenever I try it I wake up like an oily mess. After using my shampoo and conditioner, I take a coin sized amount of product onto my palm and then I run my fingers through the lengths of my hair. I love applying it as a leave-in conditioner because I feel in this way it works best for my hair.

Another thing I loved about this product is its soothing fragrance. If you are reading my blog for a long time you would probably know how keen I am about nice fragrances. I don’t like strong fragrances but I definitely like soothing, sensuous ones. This product has a very mild, soothing fragrance that I would want in every hair product I own. The fragrance lasts for a long period of time, leaving your hair feeling fresh for a long time. 

Next and the most important thing that I liked about the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Oil-in-Cream is that it does not make my scalp or hair look oily or limp. It does not weigh my hair down. It does not take away the volume provided by the prior hair wash. It does not cause hair fall. It works as a hair oil without feeling like a hair oil. Using it after hair wash makes a huge difference in my hair. I have noticed a very smooth, healthy-looking, manageable hair after using this product.

If you are following these steps you already have glowing skin which needs just a bit more shine. For that, you can use woman’s most trusted tool – makeup.
Start the beautifying process with a primer to create a hydrated and smooth surface. Next, even out the tan with foundation (choose it based on your tan and skin type). If needed, cover spots (acne, redness) with concealer. Lock it all in with powder and accentuate cheekbones with blush or bronzer. Add an extra touch with nude or peach shade lip gloss. The results will be astonishing!
Soft pencil or eyeliner can be very effective solution if you want to highlight your eyes. You can apply the standard one or opt foreyeliner tattoo. However, for evening plans, you’ll need to try a little harder to make your skin glow and cheekbones pop, perhaps do some highlighting and contouring, and you are just few strokes of a makeup brush away from the Hollywood diva look.
There is no reason to have dull and dry skin if you can make it radiant. Where filet of salmon can’t help and exfoliating is just scratching the surface, some primer, foundation and blush will do the trick.
