Hello all, I am back with a new post as promised. Today I am here with another review post. The product I am going to review today is a very famous makeup remover cum cleanser cum toner. It is the Bioderma Sensibio H2O micellar water. Bioderma is a well-known French skincare brand. They have a variety of products for almost every skin concern. Sadly, only a few products are available in India. I think among the few the Sensibio H2O is the largest selling product in India.

Before I proceed, let me tell you about micellar waters. Micellar waters are solutions that remove makeup and cleanse your face without the need to wash off. You can cleanse your face with a micellar water and just go to bed right after that. No fuss, right?

Now, let’s jump into the review-

Price: 599 INR for 100 ml and 860 INR for 250 ml.
Packaging: Bioderma Sensibio H2O comes in a clear plastic packaging with a pink flip open cap. The product description and the ingredients list is attached to the bottle in two separate labels. The packaging is sturdy and travel-friendly. The 100 ml pack is almost like a travel-sized packaging which is great if you want to carry it everywhere.

Product: The product is a water-based formula with a substantial cleansing property. It even looks like water. It is mildly scented although it is said to be fragrance-free. The best part is that it doesn’t contain alcohol.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Propylene Glycol, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Mannitol, Xylitol, Rhamnose, Fructooligosaccharides, Disodium Edta, Cetrimonium Bromide.

My Experience: I love using a toner after cleansing my face. It gives me a feeling of the cleaner face. I have been using the Bioderma Sensibio H2O for a month and I can say I am totally impressed by its quality. This multipurpose solution helps to remove makeup (even the most stubborn ones) as well as cleanse and tone your skin. As a perk for lazy people, it doesn’t require to be washed off afterwards (but I like to wash my face to finish off the cleansing process). I don’t like my toners to be scented but this one just bothers me much because it is subtly scented. It is safe for eyes. It doesn’t irritate my eyes or trouble my vision. It removes makeup very well and without any hassle. It is able to remove waterproof makeup from my eyes so gently without pulling and tugging. That’s definitely a great thing.

I have made a habit of using this product on a daily basis. I like to use it in the mornings because that is the time when my skin tends to get the oiliest and grimy. I use it after I cleanse my face with my favourite cleanser. It is non-oily but it doesn’t help with oiliness, neither it claims to do so. When it comes to removing makeup, I like to soak some of the product on a cotton ball or pad and hold it in both my eyes for a good 10-15 seconds and then wipe off. I learnt this technique from Debashree, an Indian YouTuber. It magically removes all the makeup (waterproof and non-waterproof) and grime. I had been using the Lakme Absolute Bi-Phased Makeup Remover but I ended up hating it as it burns my eyes. Now, I am absolutely happy with my Bioderma Sensibio H2O as a makeup remover as well as a mild cleanser cum toner. The best part is that you don’t need to carry a tonne of products when you are travelling. This product is an all-in-one product that can replace your makeup removers, cleansers and toners.
Here’s a demo for better understanding-
Ups:
  • Gently removes makeup and grime.
  • Removes makeup very effectively.
  • Mildly scented.
  • Suits every skin type.
  • Non-oily.
  • Water-based formula feels almost like water.
  • Light-weight formula.
  • Doesn’t need a rinse.
  • Gentle on eyes.
  • Doesn’t break out.
  • Doesn’t irritate the skin.
  • Easily available on almost all the leading online beauty stores in India.
Downs: No downside.
Overall, the product is something every woman needs to have in their kitty. It is affordable in terms of longevity. The 100 ml products go for a long time as it needs a little to clean up your face. I am in love with this product and I will be repurchasing it once I finish it. I recommend this product to everyone out there. I hope you liked my review. If you did then don’t forget to share it with your friends. Share your opinions with me in the comments below. I will be back with a new post soon. Till then be safe & keep smiling!

Hello everyone, how are you doing? Today I have come up with a number of tips on how to look best in photographs. I hope you enjoy this post. Let’s start-

Makeup for photography is entirely different from the makeup we do for normal days. The flash not only brightens up your face but also it takes away the natural colours and shadows from your face. Plus, the millions of pixels in a photograph emphasizes even the pettiest flaw in your makeup. Today, I am sharing some tips with you so that you can look your best in the photographs and I am sure it will lessen your post-processing time.

First thing first, you need to prepare your face pretty well before putting on your makeup. Make sure you cleanse and moisturize your face nicely. You would not want your camera to emphasize those rebellious dry patches on your cheeks, chin or around your mouth. Don’t forget your lips!

1. Define Your Brows: Flash photography can emphasize sparse eyebrows. It can even wash out those brows that look quite thick in reality. So, make sure you define your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil or powder or any brow defining gel. Finish it off with applying some clear brow gel or clear mascara on top of it to keep it in place.

Used a deep brown eye-shadow to fill in my brows

2. Choose the Right Foundation: Foundation helps to even out your skin tone giving you the perfect canvas to work on. Do not choose a foundation that is way lighter than your skin tone. It would not make your look fair rather it would make your skin appear as a mask in the photographs. Nobody want that, right?

Used Lakme CC Cream as a base/foundation

3. Never Forget to Conceal: You must not skip the step of concealing your under-eye area and your blemishes or breakouts. Let’s admit it, everyone wants to look perfect on photographs. Your dark circles might ruin your whole makeup. Plus, concealer helps brighten up your face.

4. Contour Your Face: Contouring is not only for making your face look slimmer. It actually brings back the structure to your face that your foundation takes away. It gives a depth and definition to your face that saves your face from looking flat in photographs.

5. Tight-lining Your Eyes: This is a step that instantly brings changes to your eyes. After lining your eyes line your upper and lower waterline. By lining your upper waterline you can fill in the gaps that show through your lashes, especially you have scarce eyelashes. It will make your lashes thicker. I love doing this step.

Used Maybelline Colossal Kajal to tightline my eyes

6. Focus on Your Lips: No matter which lip shade you choose, make sure you line your lips before putting on any lip colour. If you have thinner upper lip, make sure to overdraw it so that it looks fuller on camera. Apply some concealer around the outline of your lips to make everything neat.

Lipstick- MAC Plumful, Lip-liner- Maybelline Midnight Plum

I hope this post helps you to get your best photograph. If you have any more tips then share them with me in the comments below. Thanks for reading!

This post is inspired by Rewardme’s post- 5 Easy Ways to Perfect Mobile Makeup. Find it here.

I am participating in the ‘Ready For Rewards’ activity for Rewardme in association with BlogAdda.
Hello all, how are you doing. My exams are going on and I am not very well because of the chaotic and hectic life these days. Hope this sorts out soon.

Today I am going to talk about the Hamilton Beach Espresso Maker that I received long ago, sometime in February. Blogadda gave me this opportunity to try out a product from the amazing range of Hamilton Beach home appliance and without any hesitation I chose the Espresso and Cappuccino maker to try out as I am a coffee-lover. It has been more than a month and I finally got some time to express my opinion about the product.

Here is how the product looks-

It’s sleek, doesn’t occupy a lot of space and it’s not too heavy. I mean, if I can life it easily, anybody can. The body is metallic matte and steel in colour. The top part has a steel plate on which you can rest your coffee cup while making another one and it will remain hot. It has a water reservoir at the back with two level indicator- from minimum to maximum. It also comes with a ground espresso filter holder with two filters and one measuring cum tamping tool. You fill the filter with ground coffee and press the coffee with the help of the tamping tool. Then you set the filter holder in the slot and slide the lever all the way down, it will secure the filter holder and lock it. There the two indicators on the body, one red and one green. The red one indicates that the power in on and the green one indicates that the machine is ready to be used. In the middle of these two indicators there is a power switch and below that, there is a control knob that can be moves to both left and right direction. When it is positioned right, the steam comes out of the movable nozzle at the right, you can use the steam to boil and froth the milk; and when it is positioned left the espresso comes out of the two nozzles. It has a removable tray that collects the excess drips of coffee. All the parts are easily washable but it is NOT dishwasher-safe.
At first, I had faced some problem using this, specially because if the lever is very tight to pull down, but after the first use it became very easy. It is really easy to use it. It comes with a user’s manual that makes it easier.
Other than making espresso and cappuccino a gazillion times, I have also made Cinnamon Cappuccino and Cold Coffee a few times.
I am very grateful to Blogadda and Hamilton Beach that they chose me to try out this product. This Espresso maker makes every coffee-addict’s life simple.
Hello all, how are you? My exams are still running and I have three more papers to attend. Anyways, today I am going to post my final verdict about the Happy Hair Challenge I took with Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition shampoo and conditioner duo.
A few weeks back, I started using the new Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition shampoo and conditioner and now as it is officially one month of using it, I am ready to share my views with you.
Before starting the review, I want you to know that I was made to fill in three evaluation forms starting from the initial to final stage of using the duo. In my last post I had shared with you my hair story- the problems and needs before using the shampoo and conditioner and in this post I will share with you my hair story after using them for 30 days.
The problems I faced before using these are hair fall, oily scalp and dandruff. You can see my previous post where I have talked about these issues. The first impression I had while using the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition shampoo was that it smelt amazing. It does not have that chemical-y strong scent, rather it was mildly scented which I love. The next thing I knew while applying it to my scalp was firstly, it easily and evenly distributed and lathered very well, secondly, it made my hair feel really smooth during the wash. Its consistency makes it spread evenly. It is not highly concentrated which is again a good quality for me as I don’t have to work hard to dilute it to make it easy for applying. A problem I have with most of the shampoos I have used recently is that the moment I start massaging them into the scalp the hair fall starts, but with this shampoo the hair fall during wash is just one-third of the usual which is really surprising. I won’t say that my hair fall has stopped entirely after using the shampoo for one month, but it surely has reduced noticeably. I did not find anything that would prove that this shampoo controls or prevent the greasiness of the scalp. I find its effect on oily scalp very common to any other shampoos, not anything palpable. I must tell you that it has worked on my dandruff problem quite well and I can see the difference after using it continuously.
The conditioner is supposed to work on scalp and on hair too but I have noticed that using it onto my scalp made the crown area very flat, no volume at all. So, I discontinued using it onto the scalp. Overall, the conditioner is a perfect complement for the shampoo and it works very well to keep the hair tamed. I did not face a great problem of unmanageable hair but the little did I have is now gone with the help of this shampoo and conditioner. My hair is visibly and touchably soft and smooth. It appears more shiny and well-behaved while I keep it open. It is now very easy to try various hair styles without the fear of facing messy hair problems.
The best things about Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition shampoo and conditioner are that this range is super affordable and totally true to its claims. This was my ultimate experience with the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition range. I would totally recommend it to all of you. Hope you liked this post. Will be back again with a new post. Till then stay safe and keep smiling!

Looking for a scissor-free solution to split ends?
Salon Gorgeous, Split-End Rescued tresses with the new TRESemmé Split Remedy Range
March 2014: One of the favourite hair care brands of New York’s fashionistas, TRESemmé, has always been driven by a simple truth; every woman deserves to look fabulous as if she has just stepped out of a salon. Recommended by hair stylists all over the world, TRESemmé unveils the secret of split end rescued, salon style hair at home every day with the new TRESemmé Split Remedy Range.
Women often complain of a bad hair day and hide their tresses compromising on style. Split ends, as a matter of fact, may actually be one of the reasons why women experience a bad hair day and hide their tresses. Excessive use of heat styling tools, chemical processing, bleaching and prolonged exposure to sun are known to cause damage and may contribute to split ends. Most women believe a salon haircut is the solution to get rid of split ends. Unfortunately, it makes one compromise on length as well as hairstyles.
TRESemmé understands women’s intrinsic desire for salon gorgeous hair at home and the need to style hair without compromise. Hence, it introduces its specially designed Split Remedy range, for women seeking a solution to split ends and enjoy their beautiful length.
The new range incorporates Amino Vitamin Blend and helps to rescue split ends, resulting in – easier to style, more manageable, shiny and stronger hair.
TRESemmé Split Remedy Shampoo gently cleanses hair of oil and dirt while the TRESemmé Split Remedy Rinse out Conditioner conditions hair strands leaving your hair look healthy and stay smooth. TRESemmé Split Remedy is a salon quality formulation with Amino-vitamin blend and helps rescue up to 96% of split ends with use of shampoo and conditioner in just three washes for healthy-looking, smooth hair ready to style.

TRESemmé Split Remedy is the new secret to Diana Penty’s scissor free tresses. My hair undergoes a lot of styling on a regular basis and split ends would rob my hair off its near perfect polished finish. The solution I resorted to until now was a haircut which meant compromising on my length, which is very dear to me. With the TRESemmé Split Remedy range, I have found an appropriate solution. TRESemmé Split Remedy is a quick and easy solution to achieve split ends rescued salon gorgeous look without compromise.
TRESemmé Global Hairstylist, Marcus Francis, Each of TRESemmé’ variants is unique and is formulated to work brilliantly for specific hair needs. The new Split Remedy is an amazing product that helps tackle a universal hair problem allowing women to experiment with different styles and lengths with confidence. One doesn’t need to compromise on their style quotient by hiding or cutting hair.
Speaking at the launch of TRESemmé Split Remedy, Srinandan Sundaram, General Manager, Haircare, Hindustan Unilever Limited said, Indian women aspire to attain salon like gorgeous hair. We at TRESemmé understand this intrinsic aspiration and have addressed this need of hair transformation for women at home with salon innovations. TRESemmé Split Remedy is our latest offering that will help women achieve salon like hair without compromise.
How does it work? The Innovative range contains Silicone, amino-vitamin blend and conditioning ingredients. All these ingredients from the formulation work in synergy to reduce split ends of hair fibre. The Silicone in the formulation has ability to form a lubricating layer on hair fibre. When hair is treated with shampoo and conditioner this layer helps to coat hair fibre to help bring hair fibres and split ends together. This layer also helps to reduce friction between 2 fibres and improve hair alignment.
This also includes blend of vitamins- Vit H, Vit B3, Vit C and Vit E along with lysine all known nourishing ingredients. The formula also contains poly electrolyte complex, oppositely charged polymers which are known to aid bringing split ends together.

Long back, in December, I participated in a giveaway by Donah of Sweet Jelly Bean. There were 3 winners to be selected and 3 different prizes to be won. Amongst all three of the prizes, I was lucky enough to win the Wishbox 15 Cosmic Bloom.
Wishbox 15 Cosmic Bloom is a sampler box which consists of 9 kinds of cosmetics samples. Although the samples are more than just samples. Some of them come in more than a sample-size quantity.
I got the parcel from Wishtrend.com on yesterday morning. When I opened it, I was surprised to see that they have sent me three extra samples of products which were not included in the actual Wishbox 15 Cosmic Bloom. The box contains an assortment of samples from various deluxe brands. I haven’t used all of the products yet. So I am just briefly describing the products. Let’s have a look at what came inside the box-

1. Max Clinic Night Flash Massage Oil Foam (3ml x 10packets)

It’s an oil/massage foam for the face. It can also be used as a makeup remover (waterproof and washable). Comes in sachets.

2. ElishaCoy Always Nuddy CC Cream (5g)

ElishaCoy CC cream is a good quality CC cream. Comes is a tube.

3. Gehwol Salve for Cracked Skin (20ml)

It’s a medicated ointment from dried, rough and cracked heels. Comes in a tube.

4. Isfren Rx Magic Eye Solution Wise Patch

This patch is to heal puffiness and dark-circles.

5. CB Cream Natural (3g x 2)

This is a wash-off cream for instant whitening of the face.

6. Lavida BB cream Pact (1g)

Comes with a cute small round sponge. It gives you a great coverage so it can be treated as a cream foundation too. Sadly it doesn’t match my skin tone L

7. Edge Fit Heart Filler Cream (3ml)

I have used this product and it worked amazingly on my skin. It left my skin with a moisturised feeling and suppleness. My skin feels so soft after applying it. Moreover, as Donah says, it can work as an Awesome Primer for your skin!

8. Lion Heart Eau de Toilette

Believe me you guys, it smells AMAAAZING!! They claim it to be a unisex fragrance. The smell is a little bit on the musky side. As written on the envelope, the scent consists of Sea Breeze note (marine, bergamot, cardamom), Fresh Sparkling note (apricot, sandals) and Sexy Breeze note (musk, amber). I didn’t understand the language on the envelope, so took a few help from Donah’s post.

9. Panier Den Sens Liquid Soap (3m x 3)-

This is a French skincare brand. I’ve got 3 varieties of facial soaps from this brand. I loved it’s vintage packing so much!
Now Let’s see what are the additional items that I got in the box-

10. Lotree Rosa Davurica Powder Pact

This one has SPF40, PA++. This also doesn’t match my skin tone. It’s almost two tones lighter than my complexion. I am thinking of using it under my eye area on top pf my concealer. It will help brightening up the under eye area.

11. Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream (8ml)

I have also used this one once and I can tell you it’s very,. Very moisturising and really soothes your skin.

12. ElishaCoy Skin Repairing Snail Cream

It says it has 91% snail slime extract which sounds very creepy. But as I know snail slime is good for skin, I can manage my disrelish. This cream also takes care of your wrinkles, doesn’t indulge them but helps to firm your skin as well as keeping it vitalized.

Hi all! I hope you all are doing great. Temperature her is increased a bit, so now I am always in a comfy and warm mood. I know I am running a bit late in blogging, I am not posting regularly. I want you to know that my studies for Post-Graduation have began and I am always filled with Edward II or The Tempest, so blogging has become slower than ever. Nevertheless, today I am going to post a sneak-peek of what I got in this year’s January FAB BAG. So, let’s jump into the post.
As I told many times before that I have been so lucky since I subscribed to the Velvette Fab Bag. I hhave never got anything that has disappointed me so much. This month’s bag was not an exception. I have got some lovely products, one of which is a lip product that made me happy J
This is the overview of what came in my January Fab Bag-
The January Fab Bag is the worst bag I have received after the October one. It is a red coloured bag which is so cheap-looking. I didn’t like the bag at all.
Here is the list of products I received in the Bag-
1. Sally Hansen Diamond Lip Treatment- Antique Bronze
2. Nyassa Alphonso Body Butter
3. Naked Potion Lotion
4. The Nature’s Co Spearmint Body Wash (Bonus)
The lip gloss is my favourite product from this bag. This is an everyday n*de shade with some shimmers.
This body butter is less like body butter and more like a concentrated lotion. It smells like mango smoothie and reminds me of the ‘mango days’ in summer.
The Naked is a handmade, organic skincare line by supermodel Lisa Haydon. I have got the Potion Lotion by Naked which is a face moisturizing lotion. I love this because I love using organic products and it’s also preservative free.
The card provided by the website which consists of the products-list, says it’s the The Nature’s Co Lavender Body Lotion whereas I actually have got The Nature’s Co Spearmint Body Wash. Anyways, I personally didn’t like the strong minty smell. But I don’t mind using it as it’s a bonus item.
Also, I have got this cute calender 🙂
The overall experience with the January Fab Bag is great. I have got some nice products including a Sally Hansen and a Naked product. With this, my 3 months subscription comes to an end and I am definitely convinced to subscribe again.
Thanks for reading my post everyone. Now here is a news for you. I have just created a Facebook page for this blog. I want to thank everyone who have Liked this page and those who have not liked my page yet, please do it now. I need your love and support. I am also listing my other social networking sites below-

Be safe and be happy always. Good Night 🙂

GO EYECONIC WITH WHITE
BREAK THE CODES WITH WHITE ON YOUR EYES THIS NEW YEAR
LAKME LAUNCHES 5 NEW SHADES IN THE EYECONIC KAJAL PORTFOLIO

Mumbai, 23rd December, 2013: After the phenomenal success of Lakmé Eyeconic Black Kajal, Lakmé brings home yet another international trend in the form of Lakmé Eyeconic White- an innovation that’s likely to break all codes of traditional kajal usage. For years, the black kajal has remained an integral part of an Indian woman’s beauty regime, but the new Lakmé Eyeconic White promises to change the game for eye make-up. Spotted at several runways internationally this is a first of its kind introduction by Lakmé in India. Along with white, Lakmé also introduces four must-have shades of brown, blue, grey and green to the Eyeconic collection.

The Eyeconic shades by Lakmé are easy to apply and require zero maintenance, just like your regular black. In merely one stroke the kajal promises a smudge-free professional finish up to 10 hours. It comes with a waterproof formulation that allows one to be carefree while washing face or even travelling. It is dermatologically tested and is safe to apply with its two-way retractable twist-up format.

Talking about this new high-performance product, Arun Srinivas, VP Skin Care and Makeup, Lakmé says, “Indian women love to accentuate their eyes and the kajal remains an irreplaceable favourite. The success of Eyeconic Black encouraged us to look beyond the ordinary and we realize that our consumers are looking for subtle yet strong beauty statements that can enhance their overall look. Bearing this in mind, we now introduce the Eyeconic White – first of its kind innovation with a unique white packaging along with four more interesting shades that will take eye makeup to a new direction altogether.”

Speaking about the outstanding looks created for Eyeconic’s new range, Natasha Nischol, Lakmé Make-up Expert mentions, “The new range of Eyeconic is extremely unique and promising. White is an exciting color for the eyes, which can be used in the waterline to open up your eyes, or in the inner corners for the hint of brightness. Alternately you could also use it on the upper eye lids alone or with another color for a more dramatic effect. We have crafted some amazing looks with Kareena Kapoor to showcase the potential of this unusual color. Each color from the range is very unique and thoughtfully chosen to suit the Indian skin type. As a make-up professional, I am confident that this launch will surely create waves in the beauty and fashion scene in India.”

To get you started, Natasha Nischol has shared a cheat sheet with some quick eye looks to help you perfect the ‘white eye look’ this season.

Shades of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal are priced at Rs 250 (0.35 gm) and will be available at all leading beauty stores starting 21st December 2013.

Hello, my wonderful readers. This is me again. I haven’t posted anything since my long MIA. Please excuse me for that. I promise to be regular on the blog henceforth. *Pinky Promise*

Now let’s get into the post. This is my first haul post so far. I have seen a lot of beauty and fashion bloggers doing haul posts and I like reading them very much. So, I always wanted to write a haul post for you. This post contains my recent buys in the month July. Let’s have a look.

Now let me enlist the products here, one by one.

1. Dove Go Fresh Nourishment Body Lotion: I was looking for a moisturizer that can cope up with this tremendous heat and humidity in India right now. My hands easily gets dried, lacks moisture right after bathing. So, I badly need a moisturizing lotion to keep my hand moisturized. And, this body lotion is best when it comes to summer-time moisturizing. (Review Coming Up)
2. Palmolive Thermal Spa Mineral Massage Body Wash: Now, this is my most favourite body washes so far. It has a soothing smell, keeps my skin supple, one or two dollop is enough for washing my body, lathers very generously and budget friendly. I love this product so much. This is actually my second buy. Two thumbs up for this. (Review Coming Up)

3. Polchem Rose Water Skin Toner: First of all, sorry for the blurry picture, it’s due to wrong camera settings. Now, this toner is not so much of my choice. It instantly produces a lot of rashes in my skin. I won’t recommend this for you.

4. Pond’s White Beauty BB+ Fairness Cream: I had been reading so much about this product for a long time, so, finally decided to give it a try. An guess what, it’s really far better than my imagination. I was using the Garnier BB Cream for quite a time. I have a combination skin and it used to accentuate my oily areas and  left me with a greasy feeling day long. Pond’s is perfect for those who have oily or combination skin. (Review Coming Up)
5. Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner: Good pigmentation, literally waterproof but I think it’s bit highly priced. (Review Coming Up)

6. Revlon Colorstay Makeup: I love this foundation. Very light, stays for a long long time, non-oily, gives a dewy finish to your makeup. (Review Coming Up)

So, that’s it. How do you like it girls? Please do let me know in the comment section. If you are having problems posting comments, as the Google+ comments only allows users those have a Google+ account, then please message me on Facebook.
Thanks for reading. See you next time. Take Care 🙂
