Hello guys, as we all know Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Like every year, I am here again with another easy makeup look for Valentine’s Day. When it comes to makeup I prefer soft and subtle look instead of anything heavy or dramatic. Be it daytime or nighttime, I prefer minimal makeup. Even my boyfriend loves to see me with minimum makeup. So, I thought of doing something that is soft yet glamorous, very apt if you have planned a daytime date with your beau. This look is also great for both day and night if you love non-glamorous, fresh and neutral makeup. I have created this look keeping the beginners in mind. Let’s begin-
(Eyes) ELF Eyelid Primer Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette (Salted Caramel, Marzipan, White Chocolate) BH Cosmetics Day & Night Palette (Deep matte brown shade, Pale peachy pink shade) Lakme Eyeconic Kajal- Brown Lancome Hypnose Mascara
(Eyebrows) Maybelline Fashionbrow Duo Shaper in Grey
I started off with applying foundation to my face just to make my skin look even-toned. Then just jumped straight on to my eye makeup before concealer. I applied an eyelid primer first so that my eyeshadows last longer. Then I set the primer with some compact powder. You can apply any light coloured eyeshadow instead of the compact powder.
Next, I applied a warm tone brown shade (Salted Caramel) from my Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. This shade acted as a transition colour. Then I took a deep brown shade from my BH Cosmetics Day & Night Palette to a crease brush and placed it on the outer corner of my eyes. I blended out the deep brown eyeshadow with a circular motion with the same crease brush leaving the inner part of the eyes bare. I made sure to apply most of the product to the outer corner and then I dragged whatever left on the brush to the inner portions of my eyes. It helped in defining the eyes more. Then I applied a pale peachy pink shade to the inner parts of the eyes with a flat eyeshadow brush in a patting motion. If you have darker eyelids then you can use dampen eyeshadow brush to apply your pale, light shade eyeshadow. A damp brush will ensure good colour payoff. I highlighted the inner corners of my eyes with a shimmery pink shade called Marzipan from my Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette and also highlighted my browbone areas with a shimmery champagne shade called White Chocolate from the same palette.
Next, I lined my upper lashline with a brown kohl pencil and smudged it out using an angular brush. I dragged the line with a brush in a manner that it creates a small, diffused wing at the end. This diffused wing made the look very sultry and created a pseudo-smoky effect without going for a full-fledged smoky eye look. I finished my eye makeup with curling my lashes and applying generous coats of volumizing mascara to my lashed to make them stand out. You can also apply false lashes but I skipped it as I wanted this look to be really natural and wearable.
Finally, I applied concealer to hide my dark circles and other imperfections. Then I set everything with the same compact powder. Lastly, I contoured and highlighted my features with the Sleek Face Contour Palette and applied a matte lip colour.
As I always say, you don’t need to apply makeup to present yourself to your love. Be yourself, even if it do not require a perfect dress or a flawless makeup. Being confident is most important. Love is all about accepting each other with all the flaws, isn’t it? Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you found this mini-tutorial helpful and easy to follow.
