Hello everyone, today’s review is on my favourite of the Revlon Matte Balms and it is the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm Sultry. If you are following me on FaceBook you would know I have shared a picture of a Shopperstop package and asked you to guess what I got for myself. Today, I am sharing it. How can I be left behind while the whole nation is raving about the Revlon Matte Balms that has been recently launched in Indian market along with the other variant i.e. Lacquer Balms! When I first saw international beauty bloggers reviewing Matte Lip Crayons and swatching the Matte Balms, I was head over heels in love with the lovely shades. As I was preparing my list for the shades I was about to procure from the U.S., I heard the good news. The super-gorgeous lippies were introduced to India! 

I have used their Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and loved them. As a matte lipstick lover, I got to try out the Matte Balms. There are 8 scrumptious shades, from pinks to reds, plums to browns. I had shortlisted 3 shades from this range, among which, two were pink. Not all pinks suit my skin tone so without taking any risk I chose the 3rd one, which is named as Sultry.

Packaging: These Matte Balms come in a wonderful matte packaging. It comes in a pencil/crayon kind of form with a twist-up bottom and a tight cap. You don’t need to sharpen them, only twist the bottom.

Shade: I am really bad at describing colours, but I will try to do it for you. Sultry is actually a mixture of matte pink, plum and brown, as my eyes can identify. Whatever it is, I like it very much. It will suit almost all Indian skin tones.
 
Product (Texture, Pigmentation & Staying power): The product is very creamy in texture and easily glides on the lips. It gives a decent coverage in a single swipe and goes absolutely opaque in two swipes. You don’t need to layer it but if you want to make it more intense, you can always layer it up. It doesn’t give you the powdery, drying matte effect, it actually has a velvety matte formula which doesn’t let your lips dry out. I have a tendency to eat up my lipsticks, nothing stays on my lips more than 2-3 hours, does that happen to any of you or I am the only one with this feature on this planet?! 

Anyways, this lipstick stays on for good 3-4 hours on me, can stay a little bit more on others. It transfers a little when touched. Doesn’t feather out or doesn’t leave any stain behind when wiped off.

All I have to say is: If you have loved Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and if you love matte lip crayons, you must go for the Revlon Matte Balms. Those who love hint of pink on their lips without going crazy and aren’t actually very adventurous with lipsticks can definitely get a hold of this lipsticks. This range has 9 other lovely shades to choose from- Elusive, Unapologetic, Standout, Audacious, Striking, Shameless, and Mischievous. 
 
My Rating: I will deduct 2 points for the excessively high price. Thus, it will get an 8/10 rating from me.
 

Will I buy it again?Though I love the shade and the formula very much but I don’t have any plan to buy it again. If I make my mind, I will mind any other shade from this range. I am waiting for a discount now.

Among all these, I thought the shade POW2 will suit me the best. I was a little late to buy it, but better late than never!

So, today I am here to review POW2 for you all.

Shade: POW 2 from Pink Alert range has a distinctive bright pink shade with a blue undertone. This shade is suitable for almost all Indian skin tones. I have a wheatish skin tone and it brightens up my whole face instantly.

Product- Texture, Pigmentation & Staying Power: The product is very creamy itself. You don’t need to apply a lip balm before applying the lipstick. The creaminess results in a smooth application. Maybelline claims it to be the honey nectar which provides the creaminess in the lipstick. This product gives your lips a great even coverage. Now you don’t have to worry about concealing your pigmented lips before applying a pink lippie. The only con I have found out is that it somehow accentuates the darkness around the lips if you have any. POW 2 stays on your lips for a good 4-5 hours and leaves a pretty hint of pink behind even after you wipe it off. I went for a movie applying it followed by a lunch and after all these my lips weren’t bare at all. 

Ups:
  • Nice bright shade to jazz up your summer look. 
  • Cute packaging. 
  • Nicely pigmented.
  • Decent staying power.
  • Reasonably priced.


Downs:

  • Transfers a bit. 
  • Slightly accentuates the pigmentation/darkness around the lips.

Colorbar Exclusive Nail Lacquer #15 | A Brief Review & NOTD


Hello people, today I am going to post a quick review of the Colorbar Nail Lacquer #15 from their Exclusive range. It’s my first time using a Colorbar Nail Paint. If you are following me on Facebook and Instagram, you will know that I posted a NOTD picture on Facebook and Instagram wearing this nail paint.

I so wanted to try a pastel shade, especially a mint green shade for this summer.This shade is a pastel mint green shade which is just perfect for the summers. At first, I wasn’t sure about the showing up of the colour on my skin. I thought it would make my fingers appear darker. But, to my surprise, it complements my wheatish skin-tone very well. It makes my nails look so fresh. 



This nail paint dries out easily. You don’t have to blow your nails or dry them before a fan for a long time. It has been on my nails for 12 days now and only my right hand nails got chipped. I love the formula because I love long lasting nail paints for my nails. I think it’s worth the price.

The only problem I faced was its uneven distribution on the nails. The application is never uniform on the nails and as it dries out quickly, you can see your bare nails somewhere peeking at you through the nail paint.

Hello everybody, I am here with a haul post as promised in my last post (Hope you’ve already read it, if not then please do it nowJ). This is going to be my second haul post here. But the difference is, all the products I am going to show you here, have bought with my own moneyJ. This post will be much more refined than the last. Hello all! I was missing in action for a long time. Actually I had lost my enthusiasm and the will and determination somewhere. I know this cannot be an excuse but I had to tell you what happened to me. Anyways, as I am back, I want to share with you guys the review about a product that I loved during the month of February. If you read my January Favourites post, you must have seen a product I mentioned there. Yes, I am talking about the much raved product, the Naked Potion Lotion. 
I received this product in my January Fab Bag (read about the January Fab Bag here) and since then I am loving this product a lot. Naked is an organic skincare line by the gorgeous supermodel, Lisa Haydon. The thing I liked the most about this moisturizer is it is 100% organic and preservative free.

Packaging: The Naked Potion Lotion comes in a glass jar with a metallic gold screw cap. A small note about the product and the brand, printed on a hand-made paper, also comes attached with the jar with a jute twine. The packaging makes the product more natural and rustic.

The Product: The Naked Potion Lotion is a light-weight moisturizer with a lotion-like consistency. The cream is white in colour. It has Aloe, Rose hip oil, Geranium, Avocado and Lavender extracts which nourishes the skin and revitalizes it.

My Experience: My first impression about the product was ‘OMG! It’s by Lisa Haydon!”. Lisa, I think, is one of the hottest supermodels and is blessed with a great skin. At first, when I received the product, I was happy because I thought it will help me get a fresh and dewy skin like Lisa Haydon. And, it did. I have used it throughout the month of February and as it was cold, my skin didn’t act up. The cream, as I told you earlier, is very light-weight and blends very well into the skin. It has a cooling effect to it that your skin feels rejuvenated at once. It gives the skin a dewy finish that is good for dry skin beauties. As my skin is super-dry in winters, it’s good for me in winter but in summer it accentuates my oily zones and my skin looks greasy. The cream has a nice and fresh fragrance that keeps reminding you that it’s a 100% organic product. As this is a pure organic product, it’s best before 3 months from the date of packaging and lasts longer if stored in refrigerator. My overall experience with this product is good. I think it’s good for me to use it during winter than in summer.

My rating- 9/10

Will I buy it again- Yes, in the next winter!

I highly recommend this product to all dry skin beauties and those who have oily/combination skin, you can also try it in winters.
