Hey, guys! Today’s post will be a review on another new product that was launched this month. As you can tell from the title, today’s review is about the new member of the Lakme 9 to 5 family and it is their Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Colour. I am a lover of matte lipsticks. Lately, I have been really into liquid matte lipsticks and lip creams. So, as I came to know about these Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color, I knew I had to get at least one of those. Considering the seasonal vibes and upcoming weddings, I chose to get a bold lip colour. From what I could assume from the shade names, I thought the shade Crimson Silk would be the one I was looking for. Now, let’s jump into the review!

Price- Rs 575/- for 9g [Buy here]

Lakme 9to5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color Burgundy Lush Review| Cherry On Top

Packaging- The Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color lipsticks come in rose-gold cardboard boxes which house the pinkish tubes with rose gold screw caps. The shade names are written at the bottom of the tubes. The packaging is quite similar to any other liquid lipstick packaging. Like any other product from Lakme’s 9 to 5 range, this is also very attractive in terms of looks. The applicator is leaf-shaped which ensures a perfect application as it reaches the corners of the lips easily. The pointy tip is perfect to shape your lips.

Shade- The shade that I got is Burgundy lush which is a beautiful brown-toned red. The warmth of this shade would flatter most Indian skin tones. The dark, brick-red shade is perfect for the winters. It would be great for Christmas celebrations and also for the weddings.

Pigmentation- Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color Burgundy Lush is intensely pigmented. Only one swipe of it gives an opaque coverage. It perfectly conceals dark patches on the lips.

Lakme 9to5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color Burgundy Lush Swatch

Texture- As you can tell from the name of the lipsticks, they have a mousse-like texture. This unique texture gives them an airy, light-weight feel which makes them really comfortable to wear. They are so light that it feels you have nothing on your lips. I have the Miss Claire Soft Matte lipsticks which are the alleged dupes of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. Although I haven’t tried all the shades, but comparing the two that I have I can say that the Miss Claire Soft Mattes are definitely denser than the Lakme 9 to 5 Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek  Color. These lip & cheek colors are super blendable. Although they take a few seconds to set so you have to be really quick with them while applying. Apart from that, they blend quite easily and seamlessly giving you a subtle flush on the cheeks.

Staying Power- These two-way blush cum lipsticks has a pretty good staying power. On my lips, it stays for good 5-6 hours at a stretch. After that, it starts to fade away from the centre of the lips. For me, it survived a full-course dinner, with a little fading. Although it is not completely transfer-proof or smudge-proof, it doesn’t bleed either.

My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color Burgundy Lush

Lakme 9to5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color Burgundy Lush on Medium Skin tone

Overall, I am quite happy with the one I got from the range. I do like their texture, blendability and staying power. The shade that I got, Burgundy Lush, is so gorgeous and it compliments my skin tone a lot. Being a mousse texture the lipsticks are not as drying as the other liquid lipsticks but it’s definitely not moisturising either. I have dry lips and it starts to get really dry on my lips from an hour after the application. It clings to the lips, accentuating the dryness. Those who have extremely dry lips should totally skip this.

The good things are that these lipsticks do not settle into the fine lines, they do not bleed and they are extremely comfortable to wear. These lipsticks are not completely transfer-proof. They are beautifully packaged, travel-friendly and they fit into your purse. I have combination skin and my cheeks are usually very oily most of the time. This lipstick as a blush lasted on my skin for 3-4 hours. I generally not into cream blushes but this one blends really well and gives a natural flush to the cheeks. I wish it lasted a little longer. Removing this lipstick is really easily. Just take some makeup remover onto a cotton round and hold it on your lips for 30 seconds and then wipe it away.

I would recommend these Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Colors if you like liquid lipsticks but want to try a less-drying version. Have you tried them? What are your views? Let me know if you try. Will talk to you in my next post. Till then, be safe & keep smiling!

A lot of people feel inclined to learn how to do their own manicures, pedicures, and other beauty treatments at home on their own when they calculate how much they spend on these things each month. When they think about how much they spend actually paying a professional to do the job, maintaining the work that is done, as well as buying products to use at home, they see that they could save tons of money. They can invest in some nice equipment and nice products to do their own manicure and other beauty treatments. However, they need to learn the basic steps.

If you have gone to a professional many times to have your nails done, you can basically follow the process that the professional uses. Some people do not pay attention when they are getting their nails or toes done, so this quick reminder can be very helpful.

The very first thing that you want to do is start off with clean nails. This involves getting rid of nail polish and making sure that the nails are clean on top and underneath. Next, make sure that your nails are all the same length. This may involve trimming the nails as well as filing them. You want to give them a good shape, something that you will be comfortable with.

Do Your Own Manicure and Start Saving| Cherry On Top

Once your nails are all cleaned up and they have been trimmed and filed, you can begin the most relaxing part of the manicure. Soak your fingers or even your entire hands in warm water. Some people like to use a mild soap or another product that has been designed for this purpose. Soaking your hands in warm water not only relaxes you, but it loosens up the cuticles.

After your hands have soaked for a little bit, you want to take them out of the water and dry them up. Now you can begin working on the cuticles. Using the proper tools, push them back and trim them if necessary. Now that your hands are dry and your cuticles are in good condition, you can apply nail polish and a nail polish extender. You want to preserve the life of the nail polish as long as possible and help your manicure to last.

After your nails are done and the nail polish has dried, you want to apply moisturiser to your hands. Many individuals enjoy this part of the manicure. They may spend a lot of time just sitting back and looking at how pretty their nails look while allowing the moisturiser to soak in. As they rub the moisturiser in, they will do a small hand massage. This is a great way to end the manicure. Not only will your nails look great, but you will feel relaxed.

You guys must know Nykaa recently has come up with their own range of makeup. After the successful launch of their nail paints and bath & body products, Nykaa announced their new baby which is the ‘So Matte’ range of lipsticks. Ever since I saw Nykaa’s Instagram story about their new launch, I was determined to try them out as soon as they hit the market. I kept the promise and got two shades from the range. Today, I will be reviewing the Nykaa So Matte Lipsticks  for you.

Nykaa So Matte lipsticks have 13 shades in the range. The shade range has a quite diverse colour palette, from nudes to pinks, reds and plums. I liked how they tried to include at least one from each colour family. After investing a lot of time choosing two best shades from the entire range, I ended up buying Orange Vice and Pink Flirt. Continue reading this post for the review and some swatches.

Price- 399 INR

Packaging- The Nykaa So Matte Lipsticks come in very pretty reddish/pinkish watercolour patterned boxes. The lipstick bullets are housed in matte black cuboid cases that have metallic Nykaa logo on them. Each case has a magnetic closure to them which is really cool and convenient as it makes the lipsticks safe for travelling. I really liked the sleek and classy look of the lipstick cases. Although I am not a big fan of these cuboid-shaped lipstick cases as I find it difficult to have a good hold while applying directly with the bullet and also, they do not fit into my lipstick organiser. I don’t know if anyone faces the same problem or not but I do.

(L-R) Pink Flirt and Orange Vice

Shades- The two shades that I got from the Nykaa So Matte Lipsticks collection are Orange Vice and Pink Flirt. Orange Vice is a bright orange lipstick with a little bit of rust/brown undertones. Although this lipstick looks bright on the lips, it looks a bit toned down and rustier in the bullet. Pink Flirt, on the other hand, is a bright fuschia colour that will suit almost every skin tone. I love pinks with blue undertones as it makes my face brighter and my teeth whiter. I like both the shades.

Pigmentation- These lipsticks are very pigmented. You get an opaque application in the first swipe. Although I have noticed a patchy application on my upper lip which is darker than my lower lip. It happened with the shade Pink Flirt. Orange Vice had a smooth and opaque colour distribution.

Texture- Although, Nykaa describes their So Matte lipsticks as matte, they do not go with our usual notion of a matte lipstick. These lipsticks are in between matte and satin. The texture of Nykaa So Matte Lipsticks is very soft and creamy. They are not drying, easy to apply, they glide on the lips smoothly, feel comfortable on the lips and the application is even. Being creamy mattes, they are just perfect for winters.

Staying Power- Nykaa So Matte Lipsticks stay put on my lips for about 4-5 hours at a stretch, without any touch ups. I had applied the shade Pink Flirt during pandal hopping on Kali Puja (Diwali) and in spite of the hot and humid weather and light snacking every now and then it lasted quite long, for about 5 hours. It only starts fading from the centre afterwards. I am quite happy with its longevity.

My Views on the Nykaa So Matte Lipsticks

I am quite impressed with this new launch from Nykaa. These lipsticks are something that I can use every day during winters. My lips become very dry during winters and I don’t like putting on lipgloss, so choosing a lipstick for winters has always been a pain for me. I think I finally have got my perfect wintertime matte lippies. The best thing about these lipsticks is that they don’t settle into fine lines which a blessing for me because I have creases on my lips that make any matte lipstick look horrendous if I don’t hydrate my lips before the lipstick application. These Nykaa So Matte lipsticks are very hydrating that you don’t need any separate moisturisation before application.

Taking them off is quite a pain for me as they don’t want to come off completely even if you using a waterproof makeup remover. They leave a subtle tinge after you take it off. Other than that, I love them. These lipsticks smell like vanilla, the scent is pretty close to that of the MAC ones. They are creamy, hydrating, long-lasting and they don’t bleed. I think getting such quality withing a price-tag of only Rs 399 is quite a good deal. I would highly recommend these Nykaa So Matte Lipsticks to you guys. You can find them exclusively in the Nykaa website.

I hope you liked this review. Tell me what you feel about these lipsticks in the comments. I’ll be back with a new review very soon. Till then, be safe & keep smiling!

Hello, all!

I hope you have had a great Durga Puja and Navratri. Today, I am going to talk about a new cleanser that I have been using for the past couple of weeks. It is the Organic Harvest Masseuscious Damage Control Cleanser, which the brand has recently launched. Organic Harvest, a brand that can be relied on blindfolded for their exclusive recipes of skincare and haircare products, sent the product to me to use, review and share my experience with you. After using it for more than 15 days at a stretch, I think I am now able to let you know about this product. So, let’s jump into the review-

Price- Rs 1495/- for 150ml (5.07 FL. Oz)

Organic Harvest Masseuscious Damage Control Cleanser Review| Cherry On Top

Packaging- Organic Harvest Masseuscious Damage Control Cleanser comes in a plastic bottle with a label on it containing all the details about the product and the company. The main attraction of this product lies within its dispensing system. It comes with a brush with ultra soft and flexible silicone bristles that is attached to a pump. This is the part that makes the cleanser most interesting.

Ingredients- Aqua, Organic Acai berry extract, Organic Decyl glucoside, Organic cocoamphodiacetate, Olive oil, Liquid shea butter and fragrance.

How to Use- You have to pump it to dispense the product out of the bottle. The pump dispenses the product out through the brush-head in the form of foam. So, you don’t have to lather the product up within your palms, the entire thing is done for you. When you see the product getting out of the bottle through the brush-head, you have to apply it onto your face with the brush. It is recommended to use in upward strokes in circular motions.

Organic Harvest Masseuscious Damage Control Cleanser Review| Cherry On Top

My Experience with Organic Harvest Masseuscious Damage Control Cleanser-

Ever since I received this product, I have been using it twice a day. It cleanses the face quite effectively without making it dry or stretchy. The shea butter and olive oil in it make sure your skin has the perfect balance of hydration even after washing it off. The brush that the product comes with is really helpful in order to get the cleanser work on your skin. It makes sure that the strokes are gentle and your skin is not irritated throughout the cleansing process. The silicone bristles are really soft on the skin so it does not trouble any existing acne on your face. This product works nicely on oily/combination skin, it is really effective in removing excessive oil from the face, leaving it oil-free for a long time.  I generally wake up with a greasy face every morning, but using this cleanser at night has made a difference. I don’t notice that much oiliness on my face when I wake up in the morning. Using this product in the morning helps me achieve a fresh look throughout the day. Although this cleanser works wonders in removing dirt and oiliness from your face, it barely does anything to reduce or remove acne. My face has been breaking out a lot lately so I can clearly tell that this cleanser has done nothing for my breakouts. I must use this for another couple of weeks and see if it prevents the appearance of acne or reduces the frequency. I will update you guys if anything like this happens.

Overall, I quite liked the Organic Harvest Masseuscious Damage Control cleanser. Being an Organic Harvest products, this cleanser has the benefit of plants so you don’t need to worry about the ingredients. The ingredients are 100% safe. The attached brush is an added benefit as it massages the product with the right amount of pressure as well as it gently exfoliates your skin while cleansing. I really liked the idea. The only thing bothered me is the price. I think it is a bit expensive for some. Other than that, I liked this product and I will recommend this to you guys.

Thanks for reading the entire review. If you liked then please do share it with your friends and family. I will be back with a new post soon. Till then be safe & keep smiling!

Disclaimer- Product sent by the brand in exchange for an honest review.

If you are familiar with my preferences then you must have understood by now that I have a predilection for products that are made with all natural ingredients to use on my skin. Time and again, I have expressed my love for natural skincare products and I have also reviewed some of them. Recently (okay, it’s been over a month :/), I received a couple of products from Junaili which is a Nainital based skincare brand. Today, I am going to review those two products which are their Apricot Body Scrub and Oil.

Junaili, as I said is a Nainital based oil-pressery that uses 100% natural ingredients for their products. Their Apricot Body Scrubs and Oils are made of the finest apricots found in the Kumaon Himalayas. The products are totally safe for your body, they do not contain any chemicals, parabens and artificial fragrance. Their products are made in small batches to preserve quality. Now that we know about the brand, let’s jump into the review.

Junaili Apricot Body Scrub

Junaili Apricot Body Scrub| Cherry On Top

Price- 250INR for 125g

Packaging- The Junaili Apricot Scrub comes in a plastic jar packaging with a metallic (most probably, aluminium), golden screw lid. The jar is sturdy and the lid closes tightly, striking out any chance of spillage. Here is a little trivia about their labels, their labels are hand-written and then photographed and enhanced in photoshop. How cool is that!

Junaili Apricot Body Scrub| Cherry On Top

Junaili Apricot Body Scrub| Cherry On Top

My Experience- As I already have said, I have been using their products continuously ever since I receive them, that is for over a month now. I use this scrub every alternate day to exfoliate my body. I use this especially for my hands and legs because those are the areas that are mostly exposed and I need exfoliate them religiously to get a smooth skin. The scrub comes in a powder form. To make the scrub ready to apply, I take out about a tablespoon of product and mix it with plain water. You can definitely use rose water or milk according to your preferences. I use plain water because I am very lazy. I hop into the shower, take some product onto my palm, mix it with tap water and apply gently, in circular motions to my damp body.Ever since I have started using this product, my whole shower experience has changed. My skin feels soft and supple after every use. My hands and legs are really dry and this scrub doesn’t make them even drier.

Ever since I have started using this product, my whole shower experience has changed. My skin feels soft and supple after every use. My hands and legs are really dry and this scrub doesn’t make them even drier. The finely milled scrub particles are not too harsh, not too mild for the skin. They have the right amount of coarseness to them so that they don’t irritate the skin.

Junaili Apricot Body Oil

Junaili Apricot Body Oil| Cherry On Top

Price- 600INR for 240ml, 350INR for 120ml

Packaging- The packaging of this body oil is quite similar to the scrub except for that it comes in a plastic bottle and has a stopper inside the metallic screw lid. You have to open the outer lid first and then remove the stopper to take out the product. I have made a few tiny holes on the stopper which ensures that it dispenses the product in droplets. Again, this is a spillproof packaging. Being plastic packaging, these are easy to travel with.

Junaili Apricot Body Oil (2)

My Experience- Although I have a very dry body skin, I am not a lover of oils. Psychologically, the thought of letting my body come in contact with any kind of oil makes me feel disgusted. But, when I received the Apricot Body Oil by Junaili, I though to of giving it a tr only because of its ingredient. I have been using this oil daily after shower and I love how it works for me. I am glad that I tried this oil out. I like to use it after the shower, after towel drying my skin when it’s still damp. Applying it on a damp skin ensures it gets absorbed by the skin completely and also in this way it doesn’t make the skin too oily.

A regular use of this oil has made my skin softer and more smooth, especially in this time of the year when my skin needed something more. This oil has a long lasting effect on my body. It hydrates my skin for the entire day till the night which is a great thing!

Junaili Apricot Body Care Range Review| Cherry On Top

Overall, I loved both the products. Using both of them together regularly has worked really well for me. I can sure see the glow it has added to my skin and also my skin feels a less dry these days. I am really happy with Junaili’s products. I like their oil more than their scrub and I might be buying another bottle for the winter. Their body oil is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, they are full of anti-aging properties and are claimed to have the power of diminishing wrinkles. They are safe for children. They have also introduced a new product which is a facial oil which I am planning to give a go. You can check out and buy their products at their merchant website. I’ll be back again with a new post very soon. Till then, be safe & keep smiling!

Hi, everyone! Hope you are doing well. Autumn is right around the corner and it is the time to get ready for the upcoming festivities. In today’s post, I’ll be talking about a site that is famous for their amazing discount coupons and deals. I am going to talk about Groupon and how it can make your life easier.

Ever thought of pampering yourself without thinking about all the hassles of your life? If you are a working woman then you must have gone through a phase when you needed to get your eyebrows threaded or a hair spa but thinking about getting a salon appointment made you say “You know what? I can do it some other time!”. We keep giving us excuses so that we don’t feel guilty that we are not spending enough time on ourselves which is really important. Once in a while we all should gift our own selves some pampering, be it a trip to the salon or a movie theatre. We all love to see ourselves perfectly polished from tip to toe, but sometimes money seems to be an obstacle in the way. It is where Groupon coupons come in handy.

How to Seal a Groupon Deal:

Guest post by Sudeshna Thakurta

A twelve-year-old girl often stood in front of the mirror in a pretty dress and slathered petroleum jelly from a tiny tub of Vaseline on her lips. The transparent gel glided on the lips, caught the light and made the lips look even more appealing. Putting on the sandals, she would walk out of the house. One sight of a group of aunties in the lane and it took ten exact seconds for her to eat it up. Five years later, a plump teenager adjusted her kurti and rushed off to her tuitions. Boards over a good dress any day, agreed; but how could she let the aunties make a remark about how her ass was a little too fat for someone her age. Five more years down the line, she, still slightly plump, particularly in the middle, tucks her black tee in a pair of faded blue jeans and walks without taking any notice of who else did in fact care enough to make a remark.

Well, the twelve-year-old was I and the story is my little journey to become who I am today. Same person, same surroundings, the only possible explanation for the change could be education, (and not knowledge or observation, mind you!) most people would infer. Being the only child to parents had made me believe that this was just my insecurities and me. Over years, as I understood, this insecurity was prevalent in most women. The last two years spent at a ladies hostel changed me. I saw girls change their outfits twice or thrice, to say the least, every time they are to step out: some hiding their ugly hairy feet, rest covering up a scar or two. All of this, just to avoid unwanted attention.

The struggle to wake up in the morning is real. To put together a decent outfit is a cure to the pain. However, the prying eyes, the way the society thinks makes it much more difficult to find a fix. As a woman dresses up and takes one last look at her reflection in the mirror, parallel lines of thoughts cross her mind. Is the lipstick a little too bright for a first date? Is the liner a tad too much for a casual brunch? Should I be wearing these earrings in the first place? The sight of another woman on the roads avoiding every sly comment, walking tall changes you. A smile from another woman, facing the same challenges as you do strengthens you, hoping that the toil is definitely worth it; it makes our day a tad bit brighter.

Then reading, writing and social media introduced me to a bunch of people so confident with their own self that they professed their love for dressing up via their blogs. While they experimented and kept doing what they loved, some with their well thought of stories and concepts defied the traditional norms of beauty. They have made us realizse how beauty is more than what meets the eye. Trust me, when I say that when my beloved grandmother said the same, it did sound like a mere consolation. She, in her white cotton saree, long hair, oiled and tied back into a bun and white and blue rubber chappals cued me towards the existence of a third world where your physical appearance or your choice of clothes and shoes did not define beauty.

With the advent of social media, you see several women pose for their front camera and put up their pictures, accompanying it with a caption, which many of us might want to label stupid and unnecessary. However, it is a shame when you see them posting their pictures, sometimes, a few taking off some valuable time from their lives; indirectly, sharing tips and tricks from their vanity that might work for you being shamed for the very same reason. (Courtesy: the meme corresponding to the decrease in the number of fashion bloggers in Delhi given that Sarojini is not going to be around anymore) To have random people treat them as a mere eye candy is one thing but to have people label them, judge them and ask them to fix something is another.

Vinitha Shetty, a fashion blogger from Mumbai is one such woman. Embracing herself has been tough for her, like most of us. There were people appreciating her and sharing bits and pieces of their stories, it broke my heart when I read the comment asking her to Photoshop the scar.

Perks of Being a Fashion Blogger| Cherry On Top

It takes time and patience to be okay with a scar or any acquired physical mark on your body. Therefore, when she dared to share the story of how she acquired a scar five years ago and had finally accepted it as a part of her being, it made me happy. Scars are stories, adventures slightly derailed from the usual route and experiences that moulded us into better humans; even if it does so in a very, very small way. It takes courage to reach out to others, to let them know that they are not alone. Let us just appreciate that someone cares to take some time out of their busy lives to share their experiences.

To say the least, this is the mere tip of the iceberg. There are all sorts of people out there. From offensive comments to direct messages to the fraandship requests, they are dealing with it all just so that we know that the last minute hesitation is obvious. It is a mere need for a breather, to catch up on life without any inhibitions, while the chai ki nukkad wala dada and his friends and the perverted uncles in public transport give us characteristic stares, obnoxious comments and question our intentions. I realize that there are plenty of us sharing our views but as John Green (Yes, out of all writers in the world, I chose to quote him.) would say, it is nothing more than a “shout into the void”. Much to our disappointment, we still live in a society where people are not tolerant, refuse to acknowledge a difference in opinion and make their peace with it and raise an eyebrow at our bare shoulders in an off shoulder dress.

On a completely orthogonal (or maybe, partially relevant) note, aunties please stop staring at us. Out of all people, we expect you to understand and support us. Do you hear us complaining of your dressing choices? Of course, you do not. We can make fun of how odd that rani coloured salwar suit looks too, you know. But we do not. Why do you ask? If we, women do not support each other, who will? Food for thought, is it not?

Hey, everyone! Finally, my exams are over and I am ready to dedicate myself solely to blogging. I have missed blogging so much in the past few weeks. So, I am back again with a new post for you guys. Today’s post is going to be a review on the two perfumes I received from Neesh, one is their Rose E Mohabatt and the second one is Belle D’ Oud. So, without wasting any time, let’s jump into the post-

About Neesh

Before starting with the actual review let me share a few words about the brand, Neesh. Neesh is one of the fast-growing perfume
brands in India, creating something unique with their passion and has established a signature style. Their unique packaging, unmatched fragrance, and unparallel quality within such an inexpensive price tag, make them stand out from the rest.

Neesh perfumes come in 12 variants, 6 for men and 6 for women. Here are the names-

Men’s Collection- Oud-E-Khaas | Moha-Beau-T | Eau-De-Mehfil | Attar-E-Neesh | Attar-E-Nazakat | Atar-E-Ishq

Women’s Collection- Zaafran-E-Hindustan | Sultana | Rose-E-Mohabatt | Oud-De-Venice | Belle-D-Oud | Amour-De-Oud

They have three different categories of perfumes- light (ingredients like citrus, fruits. flowers etc.), medium (ingredients like tea, honey chocolate etc) and strong (ingredients like vanilla, must, wood, mukhallat etc) to help you choose according to your preference. The samples I got are from the light/medium family.

I am very bad at describing scents but still will try to do as much as I can. Please don’t be mad at me 😛

Prize- 340 INR

Rose E Mohabatt

Neesh Perfumes Rose-E-Mohabatt and Belle-D'-Oud Review| Cherry On Top

Rose-E-Mohabatt is my favourite of the two I received. It has a very sweet and warm scent to it which I found very feminine and delicate. The base note has Amber and Musk and this perfume is a perfect balance of these two. It’s more ambery than musky if that makes any sense!

Top Note– Honey-Suckle, Saffron

Middle Note– Rose, Lavender, Myrrh, Styrax.

Base Note– Musk, Amber, Labdanum

Buy here.

Belle D Oud

Neesh Perfumes Rose-E-Mohabatt and Belle-D'-Oud Review| Cherry On Top

Belle D Oud is also a nice fragrance but it is a bit strong for my taste. It has the essences of floral, fruity and also musky and amber notes. The fragrance is fresh and feminine, a little stronger than Rose E Mohabatt.

Top Note– Honey, Berry, Iran Saffron

Middle Note– Indian Rose, Exotic Prune

Base Note– Musk, Dark Amber

Buy here.

Overall, I like both Rose E Mohabatt and Belle D Oud, the first one being my favourite. The fragrances I received are very feminine and last for a long time, at least 9-10 hours on me. Note that no perfume lasts on me for more than 5 hours. I am really impressed with the longevity. Neesh Perfumes are brilliant combinations of attar and high-quality global scents. Thus, they have an oriental feel and warmth in them. I love that. All their perfumes come in 20ml pikpacks, which are very travel-friendly because they can be carried everywhere for the fact that they are not packaged in glass bottles. These perfumes fit in your pocket and purse very easily. Each spray of Neesh perfumes costs only Re 1.

They also have gifting options for both men and women. You can find out more about them on their website www.neesh.in. I would suggest you to try at least one perfume from their range. I am sure you will like them. These perfumes are available on Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal and eBay. I hope you liked my review. If you did then please do share this piece of information with your friends and family. See you guys in my next post. Until then, be safe & keep smiling.

Hello, all! How are you doing? Today, I am going to talk about a facewash that has successfully made it to my morning skincare essentials. Today, I will be talking about the newly launched Medimix Ayurvedic Face Wash and how it is making my skincare routine easier.

If you follow me on my social medias (links on the right sidebar) then you already know that I have recently changed my skincare routine. You guys have seen my Snapchat stories where I showed you how I changed my morning skincare, but, I have now shifted the whole thing to night time. I’ll discuss the reason in another post.

When it comes to face washes for the morning, I always like to use something that is mild and has natural ingredients. In mornings, I need a product that cleanses my skin gently, provides hydration and removes the extra oiliness. When I received the Medimix Ayurvedic Face Wash, I was beyond happy because firstly, I have been a lover of their soaps since I was a kid, secondly, I love herbal facial cleansers and lastly, I needed something as this product to include in my morning skincare regime.

The Product- The product is actually a green coloured, foaming gel. The texture is exactly like a gel, a little less concentrated. You just need a pea-sized amount of the product to cleanse your entire face and neck. It lathers quite well when applied on a semi-wet face. Medimix Ayurvedic Facewash has a particular smell to it. It smells like herbs. The fragrance is very mild and goes away after washing off. As I said earlier, it is quite concentrated so, a little product goes a long way.

My Experience with Medimix Ayurvedic Face Wash

I use this face wash once a day, in the mornings. I like to wet my face first and then take a pea-size amount of the product and rub it between my palms, foam it up and then apply to the face. It instantly brings a healthy glow to my skin. I have been using it for more than a week and I can surely tell that it makes a difference. It does not cause breakouts, does not dry out my skin and provides an all day long freshness. I do not have acne, nor that I have an acne-prone skin, so I cannot tell you if it fights pimples or not. I need my morning skincare to be something extra. Medimix Ayurvedic Face Wash ensures I get that extra something.

It comes in handy when you are out and need a quick cleanup, but which will give the same effect as a full-fledged skincare routine. Like, if you are running late for work but do not want to skip your morning skincare regime, you would need this face wash. You would need to have something this the Medimix Ayurvedic Face Wash if you are always on the go. Hey guys, hope you all are doing well. Today, I will be sharing my views on a range of products that I have been enjoying using for the past few weeks. It has been almost over a month since I started using the SkinCafe lip care products that they had sent me and now I think I am ready to share my final words. I know I took a long time but, that is how I work, I take too much time to review skincare products in order to understand the pros and the cons well and share a crystal-clear view on any product.

I am a lover of handmade skincare products. It gives me a feeling that I am doing something that is the best for my skin. When I received the package from SkinCafe, I was more than excited to try them out. I got three beautiful products from SkinCafe- Choco Chip and Cookies lip scrub, English Trifle lip butter and a Strawberry Shortcake tinted lip balm. Before starting with the review, let me tell you a few words about the brand.

SkinCafe.in is a brand that makes and sells handcrafted lip care products. They have a huge range of products across three categories i.e. lip scrubs, lip butter and tinted balms. All their products are named after some popular desserts. When you go to their website you would probably think that you have come to an online patisserie (check it out yourself, here). All their products are made after you place an order ensuring that you get the freshest products every time you place an order. I really liked this. Their products are cruelty-free, vegan and free from parabens. What more one could ask for? All the ingredients they use are listed on a separate page to avoid any vagueness and to ensure that there is always clarity between the manufacturer and the buyer.

Now that we know enough of the brand, let’s jump into the review-

Packaging- I am not going to lie, the packaging is the first thing that made me excited to try out the products. Each product comes in a cute little box with the illustration of a cupcake on each of them. It can give a tough competition to any luxury confectioner. As you open the box, you notice a small glass jar that contains the product. The packaging for all their products looks exactly the same. All of them come in glass jars with a plastic lid and labels. They all come in glass jars that are biodegradable but I did not find them the best things to travel with.

SkinCafe Choco Chip and Cookies Lip Scrub

SkinCafe Lip Care Range- Scrub, Butter & Tinted Balm Review| cherryontopblog.com

Price- Rs 950/- (9g)

Ingredients- Cocoa Nibs, Jojoba Oil

The SkinCafe Choco Chip and Cookies lip scrub is a product that works really well for chapped lips. There was a time when I was suffering from severely chapped lips even in summers. A regular scrubbing with this Choco Chip and Cookies has helped to reduce the dryness a lot. One can definitely notice softer and plumper lips right after using the scrub. I wet my lips first and then scoop out a little of the scrub with my fingers onto my palm and then massage it very gently onto the lips. If you ever feel that the scrub is dry, which happened to me at first, you can mix a drop of olive oil or coconut oil with the scrub and then apply it. The best thing about this Choco Chip and Cookies lip scrub is that it contains very fine scrubbing particles that do not feel harsh on the lips. More than that, this scrub smells divine, exactly like dark chocolate. It’s quite impossible to not lick it once. I tried that and believe me it does not taste like dark chocolate!

SkinCafe English Trifle Lip Butter

SkinCafe Lip Care Range- Scrub, Butter & Tinted Balm Review| cherryontopblog.com

Price- Rs 850 (9g)

Ingredients- Candelilla Wax, Cocoa Butter, Sweet Almond Oil and Banana infusion.

I never found a lip balm that has the perfect consistency as butter in order to keep my lips hydrated for the longest time. It was only until I discovered this English Trifle lip butter from SkinCafe. This product does not only make my lips soft but also it keeps them moisturized for a long time. It stays on my lips for good 4-5 hours. Sadly, it does not survive a meal. This product has become my salve for the drier days. I would suggest you guys to try this at least once and you will know what I am trying to say. I never tried English Trifles so I don’t know what to expect from the fragrance of the product but, whatever it is, it smells good. This lip butter does not contain petroleum jelly.

SkinCafe Strawberry Shortcake

SkinCafe Lip Care Range- Scrub, Butter & Tinted Balm Review| cherryontopblog.com

Price- Rs 900 (9g)

Ingredients- Beeswax, Mango Seed Butter, Avocado Oil and Strawberry infusion.

The Strawberry Shortcake Lip Tint Balm from SkinCafe is supposed to be a tinted lip balm as you can tell from the name. This balm has a buttery consistency, glides on the lips smoothly making them soft and supple and adding a subtle hint of pink colour to them. The colour is not as intense as I had imagined but it’s quite natural and perfect for an everyday purpose. This balm makes my lips really hydrated. It smells exactly like strawberries!

Overall, I liked the range of products from SkinCafe. The fact that they are purely vegan, cruelty-free and free from harsh chemicals like parabens, excites me a lot to keep using them forever. I would highly recommend their products. They are worth a try. A regular use of this range of products has changed my lip care regime completely. My lips do not feel dry anymore. The price of the product may be on the higher side but they are totally worth it. If you are sceptical about trying them for the first time and also hesitating to pay such a price for a new brand, then you can try their Lip Care Combos which would be a smart choice. Each these combos contain three products from each category (scrubs, butters and tinted balms). Each combo is a set of three products of 3g each and retails at Rs 900. You can buy SkinCafe products online from their official website.
