Moroccanoil Smoothing Hair Spa Experience

Hey, guys! If you remember my recent Snapchat stories then you must know that I have been to the Radiance Salon last week to try the Moroccanoil Hair Smoothing Spa using the amazing products from the new Moroccanoil Smooth range. I had promised you guys to write down my experience on the blog and now I am here with it.

Moroccan Argan oil is something that needs no introduction. Argan oil is produced from the kernels of Argan tree that grows mainly in South-Western part of Morocco. Argan oil is great for your skin and hair that it is popularly called liquid gold. With each use of Argan oil, rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, results in soft, smooth and glowing skin and hair.

Moroccanoil is a brand that pledges to transform beauty industry with all their hair care products infused with genuine Argan oil. Recently they had invited me to try their Smoothing Hair Spa treatment using the new Smooth range. Read to know all the steps to beautiful hair-

As I stepped into the salon, I was seated by the very polite staff and then offered water and beverages which I found really sweet. Then I was introduced to the expert (I forgot his name. I always forget names :/) who was about to turn my unruly mane into beautiful tresses.

Hair Smoothing Spa Treatment Using Moroccanoil Smooth Range: The Process-

The process started with examining my hair. The expert told me that I have a combination hair type- oily scalp and frizzy hair. He advised me to use two different shampoos- one for the scalp and another for the hair. After he was done with examining my hair, he went straight ahead to wash my hair.

Step 1: My hair was washed thoroughly using the Moroccanoil Smoothing Shampoo. It felt so nice because of the mild fragrance it contained.

Step 2: My stylist mixed some drops of Moroccanoil Treatment Oil with the Moroccanoil Smoothing Mask and made a mask according to the thickness and length of my hair. He then divided my hair into sections and applied some amount of the mask to each section very carefully. He made sure that the product does not go up to the scalp.

Step 3: He then started massaging my head which felt so relaxing and rejuvenating that I almost fell asleep. The massaging ensures that the product is distributed evenly and it also helps in improving the blood circulation which boosts hair growth.

Step 4 (Optional): The fourth step was a 3 minutes steam which my stylist said is not necessary with Moroccanoil products making it convenient for using at home.

Step 5: My hair was rinsed again using the same smoothing shampoo and then my stylist used a pump of the Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream and applied thoroughly to the lengths of my hair to protect my hair from the heat of the blow dryer.

Step 6: Finally, my hair was blow-dried and set to step out of the salon.

I totally loved the experience from start to finish. The way my hair felt after the treatment is inexplicable. It made my hair visibly and touchably soft, airy and really bouncy. My hair smelt divine after the treatment.Moroccanoil treatments do not require steam so you can try it at home. The products are a little expensive but they are totally worth the price you pay. The difference is visible after the first use. Moroccanoil products are free from harsh chemicals like sulphates, phosphates and parabens which makes them safe to use, unlike other haircare products. The new Moroccanoil Smooth Range is enriched in “AminoRenew™ which restores amino acids back into frizzy, unruly hair. Moroccanoil products are meant for treating all types of hair. They have products for each hair type, treating all kind of hair concerns. These are great for chemical treated hair. My hair felt so shiny, soft, silky, smooth and frizz-free. The effect lasted on my hair for the entire week until the next wash. Even after washing my hair off a few days after the session, it felt soft and smooth. I really loved the whole experience. I would suggest you to give this treatment a try. You will definitely love it.

Club Salon Shine & Glow Facial Review

Hi, guys! Hope you are doing great. Today, I am going to talk about my experience at the Club Salon where I went out to try one of their skin care treatments. If you are following me on Snapchat (Username- sayantinee) then you might have seen the whole story behind it. I also shared my thoughts there. I was looking for a good therapy for my skin as I was facing a lot of problems, one of them being dullness. My face was lacking that inner glow and it was looking really unhealthy. Recently, when I was invited to try one of the facial treatments offered by Club Salon, I readily agreed.

I decided to go for the Sarat Bose Road branch as it was more convenient for me than the other four. I went there on last Thursday. I had already an appointment there. It is great to make an appointment before you step in to save time and also you can ask for your preferred staff at the time of appointment. As soon as I reached there I was welcomed by their courteous staff. Then I was requested to make myself comfortable and offered a glass of water which, I felt, was really sweet and comforting.

Then, I was introduced to Doma, who was supposed to do my facial. She escorted me to the facial room. The room was prim and tidy and was smelling nice. There were dim lights which made the ambience very soothing and relaxing. Now, let me take you through the entire regimen, step-by-step.

At first, she examined my face to determine my skin type. She told me that I have a normal skin which was shocking as I have always known that I have a combination skin! Anyhoo, she also told me that my face is a bit tanned. After examining my face, she chose the suitable O3+ products for the facial. She first cleansed my face with a cleansing lotion and then applied a de-tanning mask made of Eucalyptus and camphor. The mask has a bit of cooling and burning sensation and also a strong scent. She left the mask on my skin for about 10 minutes and then wiped it off with a wet washcloth.

Now, she applied another mask which, I was told, has a skin whitening property. It was basically a peel-off mask that was also wiped off after 10-15 minutes. Next, another mask was applied which had whitening and brightening benefits. After leaving it for 10-15 minutes, she started massaging my face with a massage cream which is mainly made to make your skin glow from the inside. The massage was really relaxing and rejuvenating that I almost fell asleep. It was quite obvious, from the strokes she used, that she is a very skilled lady and also has a lot of experience. I can’t exactly recall how many minutes she spent on massaging my face but it was definitely 15-20 minutes. After the massage was over, all my fatigue was gone and there was an instant glow to my skin which was so evident.

I really liked the hour-long (probably, more) session. This particular ‘Shine & Glow from Agelock’ facial regime will cost you approximately Rs2,900 which is totally worth spending considering the result it offers.

My Haul from Skin18.com & Mini Review

Hi, guys! How are you all? Today, I am going to talk about the sheet masks and other products I received from Skin18.com. This is going to be a haul, website review and mini product reviews. This is a long pending post, so I don’t want to waste any more time and jump right into it.

If you are following me on Instagram and Snapchat (Username- sayantinee), you might know that I received a package from Skin18.com a month ago. You guys know me, I take forever to review skincare products. I tried them one by one, leaving a gap of almost a week to know how each of them would react to my skin and then I come to the conclusion. Now you know the reason for the delay!

The best thing about Skin18.com is that they have worldwide shipping. They have free shipping on $40 for Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam and the USA and on $60 for the rest of the world. Throughout their process of dispatch and delivery, they kept me posted about all the steps. It took exactly 12 days for the products to reach me from the date of dispatch which is great. Depending on your location and preferred shipping method, it generally takes from 6- 17 days for the products to reach you. My package which was marked as ‘gift‘ did not cost a penny for customs.

Reviews of the Products I got from Skin18.com

Here are the mini reviews of the products I received from Skin18.com. I have combination skin that becomes very oily during summers. All views are based on my personal experience. So, it may vary from others. Let’s start-

Beauty Friends II Essence Mask Sheet Pack (Royal Jelly)-This sheet mask is supposed to moisturize your face and it does that perfectly. The description tells you to apply it on a well-cleansed face and leave it there for 20-30. You are not supposed to rinse your face off after removing the mask, allowing the nutrients to soak into your skin. This mask made my skin soft and supple. I applied it in the night and the effect lasted till the next morning. This mask is priced at $0.80.

Four Season Multi Vita Brightening Active Mask- This mask, as the name suggests, contains multi vitamins such as Vitamin B5, Vitamin C and Vitamin E which are known to work wonders for your skin. This mask is supposed to do a lot of things like whitening, regeneration, antibacterial wound treatment, anti-aging, moisturizing, prevention of acne, prevention of allergy and immunity control. I just used this for once and I have only noticed a revitalized skin after using it. It does not do anything to the complexion of your skin. This is priced at $0.95.

Luke Mugwort Nose Cleansing Strip // Luke Lemon Tea Tree Nose Cleansing Strip- I never used a nose strip before I got to try these. You have to apply it on slightly wet nose for them to stick to the nose perfectly. You need to let them sit there until they become dry and then you have to pull them off the nose. I showed a demo of it on my Snapchat if you remember. Both the strips works amazing on blackhead and whiteheads. They remove them perfectly. Yes, it hurts a bit but it is definitely worth the pain. I am looking forward to getting a box full of them! The Lemon tea tree one has a strong tea tree fragrance which some of you may not like. I did not have any problem with that. They are priced at $0.65 each.

It’s Skin Todak Todak Pack Nutrition (Wash-Off Mask) with Honey and Coconut- If you guys follow me on Snapchat you will know the whole process of me trying this mask for the first time. It is basically a gel based face pack, almost has a jelly-like texture to it and it is transparent. It doesn’t dry off on your face, unlike other wash-off masks. When I tried it for the first time, I was not satisfied with it. But, after that, I found it to be great for my skin. It moisturized my skin very well, plus, it made my skin tighter. It can be used as a wash-off mask and also as a sleeping mask. It feels a bit warm on the and extremely hydrating. This pack contains coconut and manuka honey. It comes in a 10ml packaging which good for at least two uses. I used it for four times. This one is a bit pricey, $2.85 for a 10ml pack.

Overall, I liked these products from Skin18.com a lot. All these products are tested to treat various skin problems. I myself have seen and experienced good results on my skin. They did not cause any allergies or breakouts. I am looking forward to trying their eye-patches and more sheet masks. I highly recommend the sheet masks* from Skin18.com.

*Sheet masks are ready-made masks made of disposable cotton sheets, drenched in a solution of nutrients that are supposed to work as a facial treatment for various purposes.

Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder| Review & Swatches

Recently, I was on a hunt for a good loose powder for every day. You know how hot and humid is West Bengal right now. So, I was thinking of ditching my compacts and try a loose powder instead. Today I am going to review something that I had been testing for more than two weeks and am finally ready to share my opinion with you. I am talking about the Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder. I had heard a lot of good things about their Ultime Pro range, especially the lip products but never got to try them.

Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder, as the brand describes, is an innovative non-comedogenic formulation which offers protection from harmful UV radiation and imparts a silky, irresistible touch to facial skin. It does not clog pores and is hypoallergenic. It comes with a unique, spill-proof, easy-to-use applicator. Suitable for light to medium coverage on all skin types.

Price- 699 INR

Packaging- Faces does an amazing job in terms of packaging. No matter what the price tags are, all their products come in a sleek, black outer packaging. It gives the feeling of a higher end product. The Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder comes in a black, plastic case with a metallic screw lid. The lid has an attached sponge/puff as an applicator. The case has a sifter that is used for dispensing the right amount of product and to ensure there is no spillage. The packaging is very thoughtful which I liked.

Application- You can apply the product directly using the puff, which I don’t usually do. I like to use a powder brush instead. I take a fluffy eye brush and swirl it on the sifter and set my under-eye concealer and for the rest of my face, I use a medium powder brush.

Shade- Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder comes in 5 shades i.e. Natural Beige, Ivory Beige, Golden Beige, Honey Beige and Sand Beige. I got the shade Golden Beige which has a yellow undertone to it. Although the shade looks pretty dark in the container but it looks natural when blended into my skin. It will suit medium someone with skin tone perfectly.

Texture- The texture of the Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder is silky smooth. It is a very finely milled powder that goes on smoothly on the skin. The product is very lightweight which makes it useful for summers.

Coverage- The coverage of this product is not completely sheer as it is not a translucent powder. It gives a very light coverage when applied using the puff that comes with it. It does not cover blemishes or any kind of discoloration or marks. Being a light coverage product, there is no chance of it making your face cakey.

Wear Time- This product stayed onto my face for almost 6 hours which is pretty good for this weather. It does not control oil or sweat, not does it clog the pores.

Ups-

Nice and handy packaging.
Easy to use.
Light-weight.
Comes with a puff.
Nice texture.
Has a nice sheen.
Gives a natural finish.
Good staying power.

Downs-

Light coverage.
Does not come with any SPF.
Does not control oil.

Overall, I really liked the Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder as it is suitable for all skin types and is very lightweight. I use it every time I step out of the house, especially if I am in a hurry. I use it in two ways, sometimes I usually dust it all over my face just set my makeup and mattify the skin a little bit, but sometimes I like to use it to bake my makeup. This product has a slight sheen to it which gives out a very subtle glow to the skin. The brilliantly handy packaging makes it travel-friendly and easy to use. Although it has a very light coverage I like it because I don’t necessarily want my compact or powders to be full coverage. I just like to use them to set my foundation and concealer. This product, in my opinion, does not do something really exceptional for your face. The price tag, thus, is slightly higher for the job it does. I would have really appreciated if they had SPF to it. I would recommend you guys to try out this product if you are looking for a powder that would give a natural finish.

Plum Natur Studio All-Day-Wear Kohl Kajal Review & Swatches

Hi, guys! Hope you are doing well. Today, I’ll be reviewing something that I have been loving since I got my hands on it. I have been raving about it on my Instagram and Snapchat if you noticed. It is the Plum Natur Studio All-Day-Wear Kohl Kajal. Ever since I heard bloggers talking about this on their blogs, I thought to try one myself and see the results.

Before starting with the review let me share a few things about me. I have extremely oily eyelids. Both my upper and lower waterline are oily and no eyeliner (even some waterproof ones) stays for more than 3 hours on my eyes. I was frantically looking for a kajal that would stay on my eyes forever. Finally, when I read about Plum’s Natur Studio Kohl, I knew this the one that is going to be my best friend for life.

Packaging- The packaging of the Plum Natur Studio All-day-wear Kohl kajal is definitely distinct from the other eyeliners available in the market. It is a bright purple pencil with a regular plastic cap. It does not come with any outer packaging.

Texture- The texture of this Plum Natur Studio All-day-wear Kohl kajal is hands down the best I have ever tried. It is smooth, almost like a gel eyeliner packaged as a pencil liner. It is slightly comparable to the Kryolan Ikonic Gel Eyeliner Pencils, Kryolan being a bit smoother.

Application- As you might have assumed reading about the texture of this product, the application is really smooth and even. It glides on easily on the leads because of the gel-eyeliner-like texture. It takes very less time to apply the kajal on both the upper and lower lids.

Wear Time- The wear time of this Plum Natur Studio All-day-wear Kohl kajal is amazing. The company claims it to be a long-lasting kajal which is absolutely true. It stayed 10 hours on me! I still cannot believe this. I have been trying this for more than a week and every time it lasted on me super long, 8 hours in average. Also, it has a waterproof formula that makes it my favourite.

Comes with a sharpener.
Soft, gel liner like texture.
Applies smoothly and evenly.
Long-lasting.
Completely waterproof.
Doesn’t irritate my eyes.

Downs-

Sharpening causes wastage of product.

My Experience with Plum Natur Studio Kohl Kajal

This is so far the best waterproof eyeliner I have ever used. It has a very smooth, creamy, almost gel-liner-like texture. It’s not drying, gives a smooth and even application. The best part, it is long-lasting as the company claims. Stayed on me for 10 hours surviving the hot and humid weather of West Bengal. Completely waterproof, does not wear off even after being wriggled with soap. Comes out without being a mess when removed using a makeup remover. This has become my favourite eyeliner and I am definitely going to stock a few more. The sharpener that came with it is a great one. It comes with a tiny tool to clean-up after using it.

I highly recommend this kajal to everyone if you like creamy, jet-black and long-lasting eyeliners. The Plum Natur Studio Kohl Kajal has a bit higher price tag but it is something you would like to spend your money on. I can vouch for that. Mother’s Day Gift Ideas- Skincare Basket for Mommies

Hi, guys! Hope you all the doing great. Tomorrow is Mother’s Day and most of us are busy choosing the perfect gift for our moms. Today, I am going to share with you guys some gems that my mom loves to use and are definitely effective for everyone.

I love Fab India for their pocket-friendly skincare products that are effective too. I have used and loved their Orange and Cinnamon scrub so decided to make my mom try this de-pigmentation cream. She had a few blemishes on her cheekbones which have reduced a lot using this product. It is very lightweight cream with the perfect moisturization power.

4. VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen Lotion (Buy Here)

Actually, I bought this for myself but it somehow did not suit my skin so I gave it to my mom. She uses it every day, even if she is staying at home and not going out anywhere. It is a part of her post-shower skin care routine. Moms who spend most of the time in the kitchen must use a good sunscreen with good SPF to protect themselves from the heat that comes from the stove.

5. The Body Shop Strawberry Body Polish (Buy Here)

When I asked mom to pick something from her shower that she loves the most, she picked this one up. This was bought by me for myself, but when I went on with the Gia Bath and Body Works Coffee Body Polish, I gave it to my mother. This thing has a delicious smell! It makes your skin soft, supple and moisturized, plus, its scrubbing particles effectively yet comfortably removes dead skin.

So, these are the 5 skin care items that my mom swears by. The best thing about these products is these are suitable for all skin types. You can assemble all of these in a nice basket along with some chocolates, flowers, and handmade cards and gift it to your mommies. Hair for Sure- Hair Regrowth Treatment | My Experience & Review

Hi guys, I hope you all are doing well. Today, I am going to write about a product that I have been using for almost a month. Hair for Sure (click here to visit their website) is a basically a hair regrowth treatment which assures revitalization of hair and arrest hair fall. Although my hair apparently looks pretty voluminous but it has several issues. These issues include severe hair fall, dandruff, and roughness. These are the reasons why I wanted to try this tonic badly when I was approached by the brand.

Price- 800 INR for 150ml

Ingredients- Aqua, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Propylene Glycol, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Diaminopyrimidine Oxide, PEF-12 Dimethicone, Disodium Rutinyl Disulfate, Niacinamide, Panthenol, Glycerin, Oleath-20, Thermus Thermophilus Ferment, Fragrance, Methylisothiazolinone, Imidazolidinyl Urea.

Packaging- The Hair for Sure tonic comes in a plastic bottle with a plastic screw cap. It is also secured with a tight plastic cap underneath. The bottle comes in an outer packaging which is as shown in the pictures. The box also contains a nozzle which is supposed to be attached to the bottle for dispensing of the product. Overall, I liked the packaging as it is sturdy, travel-friendly, spill-proof and worth the price you pay.

Product- The product is a slightly greenish water-based liquid which is not sticky at all. It is nothing like a hair oil. It has a particular smell to it which I cannot explain to you properly, but the smell reminds me of those herbal hair treatments. If you have a sensitive nose then the smell might bother you, but the scent doesn’t linger for a long time. I found the smell mild and soothing. This product is supposed to be a leave-in tonic, thus, it is formulated as a non-sticky, non-oily, water-based product which does not make your hair look greasy.

How To Use- The directions to application is mentioned on the outer packaging. The tonic is advised to be used on a consistent schedule to notice the result. You have to take 4-8ml of product and rub gently on all over the scalp. Do not massage it. It is advised to use the product twice every day to see an optimal result. The best would be to apply it after washing your hair. Do not rinse off after applying.

As I mentioned earlier, I have been using this product for almost a month. I have several issues with my hair, mainly hair fall. I have been using this product twice a day. I use it on the wet scalp in the morning and on the dry scalp at night. I like to use it either with my fingertips or with a cotton ball. During this time period, I have missed only a week. Other than that, I have been using it religiously. When it comes to my remark, I would say that it has succeeded in reducing the hair fall to a great extent. I no longer face hair fall issues special while combing through my hair or during washing it. So far as hair growth or regrowth is concerned, I have not observed any satisfactory result.
