How many times you carry a huge make-up bag or torso to the school or college. Never, right? But touch ups during the long weary periods is a must. Stocking up the nuts and bolts is must. So, what are the essential things that must be in your pouch? I have created a list (in no particular order) for you. Check out the list-
  • Moisturizer: If you have dry skin, you would certainly need a moisturizer during the school/college hours. Be it moisturizer or hand cream or body butter; keep them in your bag to avoid dry skin.
  • Lip Balms/Chap-sticks: Lip balms are quite important because, in school/college, we need to do a lot of job talking, blabbering and gossiping. So, our lips get chapped several times and lack moisture. Mending it by applying lip balms or chap sticks to avoid persecutions.

  •  Facial Wipes: Facial wipes come into two different varieties, dry and wet. It’s good to use a wet wipe as it contains moisture. There are several kinds of wipes available in market, cleansing, moisturizing, makeup removing, soothing and a lot others. You should choose a cleansing wipe as it does all the necessary things for you. Cleansing your face and neck during school/college is more than important.

  • Blotting Sheets: Some of you might have experienced patchiness or shine on your skin after a few hours of putting makeup or cleansing your skin. To make your skin look matte and natural use blotting sheets to blot the redundant oil from your skin.
  • Hand Sanitizers: This is also an essential thing that should be kept in your BSK. In school/college, we meet several people, go to toilet and do more other jobs that could defile our hands. So, we should use a hand sanitizer to basically keep our hands clean and prevent germs to invade into our body.

  • Nail Clipper: Nail clippers can be proved as your emergency assistant. Think, you are rummaging inside your bag and one silly nail breaks. For a girl, when a nail breaks it feels like a heart-break! So, having a nail clipper in your survival kit is very important.
  • Rubber bands, Bobby pins: It’s almost impossible to maintain untied hair throughout the long hours of school/college. So, keep some rubber bands and bobby pins in your bag, so that you could manage your hair whenever you need to.
  • Eye Lash Curler: Eyelash curler can help your eyes to open up instantaneously. Keep an eyelash curler to transform your weary eyes to rejuvenated eyes.

  • Deos/Mists: Body odor during the periods is the biggest turn off one can have. Stinking body is certainly a no-no. Keep deos or mists in your bag to freshen up yourself.
  • Water: Always keep a bottle of water in your bag to avoid dehydration and skin impurities. Keep in mind, 8 litres of water per day is essential to keep healthy.

Sorry for the long gap between my posts. I am a little tensed for a few days about my mom’s health. She is entering the phase of menopause and having a lot of troubles regarding the issue. I feel to stay with her chatting above everything. So, forgive me, I make sure to continue the series and talk about almost everything about Back to School necessities before the month ends.
Amidst of the entire bustle, studies and other scheduled works we deliberately forget about the needs of our skin. We forget about the vital ingredients of beauty, nourished skin, and healthy hair. So, I have a few tips that would give your skin and hair the most desired nourishment and glow that works best for school or college goers.
First of all the three basic steps for that natural healthy skin- CTM, which means Cleansing, Toning, and Moisturizing-
  • Cleansing:Cleansing is the most important part of skincare. It, not only removes dirt out of your skin, but also it balances your oiliness (if any), opens up your pores and removes dead cells and gives you that extra freshness and clarity.  There are several types of cleansers available in the market, like foaming face washes, cleansing milk or lotion or even cleansing wipes. I recommend face washes for those who have oily skin and cleaning milk/lotion for those who have dry skin problems. Cleansing wipes are even good as they are handy and very convenient. Those who are sick of oily skin or have combination skin, I suggest using a face wash that contains neem. It’ll control the excessive emission of oil.
You can use raw milk as a cleanser. Just dab a cotton ball into a bowl of milk and apply on to your skin with gentle round strokes. It purifies your skin and most importantly it’s all natural!
  • Toning: Toning is an optional step. So if you don’t get enough time for toning, don’t freak out. Toning just removes any residue of the cleanser you applied before and opens up you pores. It makes the skin ready for moisturizing. Honestly, I always skip this step deliberately.
  • Moisturizing: If you have dryness, do use a moisturizer, so that your skin gets the required moisture. Those who have oily skin, apply a moisturizer that is especially for oily skin, use a gel or water-based moisturizer instead of a cream or lotion.
  • Now, the basic steps are complete. Now you need to apply a sunscreen before stepping out in the sun. Use a sunscreen that has SPF 15 or more. Apply your sunscreen 30 minutes before stepping out as directed by the Skin Cancer Foundation. Apply one ounce of sunscreen to all over the exposed parts of your body. This step must not be skipped!

A few tips:
  1. As the school goers have to spend a long time, almost 6-7 hours, outside the house, they should be hydrated all the time. So, keep drinking water throughout the school hours. It helps your skin to detoxify.
  2. Always keep dry/wet wipes in your bag so that you can freshen up yourself whenever you feel like.
  3. Eat green vegetables. Green vegetables are full of fibers and minerals. Yeah yeah, I know you hate them, but they are your ‘friends with benefits”. Lol 😉 A healthy diet helps you to get healthy and glowing skin and hair. Avoid oily, greasy food. Eat salads and fruits on a regular basis.
  4. Always use a chapstick or lip balm to avoid dried lips.
  5. Plenty of sleep is a must for students. At least 8 hours of sleep is required for our health. It helps to get beautiful, healthy skin.
  6. Exercise regularly. It helps you skin exfoliate by sweating. Plus, it makes you fit and mentally happy and tranquil.
So, what’s your secret of healthy skin?
That’s all for today friends. I will come up with a new Back to School post on tomorrow. Till then keep smiling and be happy. Feel free to comment. If you have a suggestion for me, don’t hesitate, just post as a comment. Please do link your posts in the comment box if you have done similar posts or willing to do one. I would love to add your links in my posts.

Maybelline Color Sensational range is one of my favorites now. And, what I like for regular use is 205 Nearly There. It’s a great color to wear whether it’s day or night. It’s such a cute pinkish nude color. I actually not fond of nudes and naturals, I love pinks, mauves, berries and such vibrant color. But after using this I am shocked to see that nudes can also look cute.
So, let’s review this.

Hey gals! First of all I want to thank all the people who supported my initiative to write reviews and leading a lifestyle blog. I want to thank all my reader, followers and supporters. Pink and Peaches is nothing without you.

Coming to the post today, this is Monday again and it’s REVIEW TIME!! This is my very first nail polish review and my first try to do an NOTD. I don’t know whether I did it right or not, but, I know that you guys will correct me if not. Let’s jump into the review.

Today I am going to review one of my favorite nail colors, Lakme True Wear Nail Color in Classics-1 Sabyasachi. I love this color so much. My sister has bought me this nail paint and since then I am in love with that.

Brand: Lakme
Type: Nail Color
Price:  90 INR for 9ml (I got some discount)

This nail color has a very stunning color, a dark pinkish-mauvish-brownish (I don’t know what really is it!). I love it, it so compliments my skin-tone. I love the density of the liquid. It doesn’t spread on the nails, it gives a nice finish in one stroke.

Pros:
1. Dries fast.
2. Easy to apply.
3. Nice color.
4. Nice density.

That’s it gals. Please rate and comment if you find this review good. Thanks for reading. Tell me what is your favorite Lakme nail color and why.
