indian fashion blog

Hello people, happy Diwali to all of you! I am sure you guys are busy decorating your homes. Those who are reading this post today leaving your work, Thank You So Much! Today, I am going to share my experience about an international shopping portal named I am sure a lot of you are familiar with the name. This website has been a favourite of a lot of people for years. I myself have seen a lot of bloggers have reviewed this site on their blogs.
Recently I got contacted by Team Sammydress and they wanted me to review their website and share my opinion with you guys to which I readily agreed as I am a shopaholic and I love trying different websites (okay, this sentence is super long!) They also provided me with a voucher to shop with. So, here is my review- website review and haul| Cherry On Top Blog

About is basically a wholesale supplier of latest Men’s and Women’s clothing, shoes, bags and other accessories. All their items are of latest fashion and design but cheaply priced. The $10-$15 dollar items are also very impressive. Shopping with

I placed my order with on 9th of September and I received it on 26th October which is really a long time but there is something I want you to know. On 10th of October, I mailed the PR who ordered the stuff for me and asked for the current status of my order. It was already one month and I was a little too worried. She told me that the package is stuck with the Indian customs, it had already reached the Kolkata hub. I was relieved but not completely. I have had heard a lot of things about the customs and believe you me, they were not that pleasant. On 26th October, I received the package, totally intact.
Payment, Shipping, Return and Packing offers a number of payment options like Credit Cards, Paypal, Western Union money transfer etc. With so much options your shopping is always smooth and easy.
My order was under $25 and I did not have to pay for shipping or customs.
They offer a 30 return policy for wrong size, wrong shipments, damaged product, missing items or partial delivery.
The package in which the products came in was absolutely well packed, there was no sign of damage and the items inside it was in good condition.

My Experience

Prior to my order I had googled for the website numerous times and I saw a few claims that is not legit and it’s a scam. But, I had to chuck them off because I did not have any problem with the shopping and the items as well. All the items I got was very well packed, in perfect condition and they are of really good quality. I did not have any issue with the sizing or the fit of the items I got. No doubt, they sell quality products. I did not have to contact the customer care service so can’t tell much about that but the PR was really supportive and replied to my mails instantly. I hope the customer care service for non-bloggers are good in the same way.
Recommendations from

I have already told you that has a variety of quality apparels, shoes, bag and accessories for men and women. Most of the products they sell are really attractive and are worth a try. If you are about to place your first order and don’t know what to purchase, I would highly recommend you to try their dresses and shoes. They have an array of good quality dresses and accessories under $25 which is a great deal. You should try this website once because the items are dirt cheap for their quality.

#fallwithcherryontopblog Fall Party Programme

Hi all, how are you? It feels so relaxing and relieving to come back to blogging after a hectic exam schedule. Though I posted a couple of posts in between the exam dates but there is nothing like blogging freely and regularly. Honestly, I am pretty lethargic when it comes to blogging frequently but I do miss blogging whenever I am away from it. Confusions!!

Sometimes we run out of time before going to a party or an event (It always happens to me) and we don’t even get time to get ready the way we wanted or imagined earlier. We dress up properly, do our makeup, do the hair but always forget about nails. Today, I wanted to share with you guys a quick and easy way to glam up your nails, without any hassle. In this way you can ditch the time-consuming nail arts and save your time and energy. Here is how-

A Little Bit of Glitter| Quick and Easy Glam Nails

A Little Bit of Glitter| Quick and Easy Glam Nails

A Little Bit of Glitter| Quick and Easy Glam Nails
This is a very simple yet gorgeous idea to jazz up your nails. You just need one regular nail polish and a glitter nail polish. I have used Maybelline Color Show nail paints in Lavender Lies and Pink Champagne (Glitter Mania range). Apply the glitter nail paint to any one of your nails (most preferably your Ring finger) and the regular nail polish to the rest of the nails. It’s all about co-coordinating. So be creative, choose the colours wisely and voila!

Do try this with different colours and patterns and don’t forget to share your pictures with me in or Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. I might share/repost/retweet your pictures and have a Nail Party together. That’s it for today, guys. I will be back soon with a new post. Till then be safe and keep smiling!

Hi guys, I hope you all are doing great. Today, first time in the history of my blog ,Cherry On Top, there will be a OOTD post. I am really very excited to present my first ever OOTD to you guys. I always wanted to do a fashion related post, especially an OOTD but I never could summon up the courage to do so. No, as it is finally happening, I am very, very thrilled. I hope you like it.
If you are following me on Instagram, you would know that I had posted a picture of a box full of Crochita accessories.

Follow me at

Today, in this OOTD, I have used two things from that lot- a golden metal choker necklace and a metal headband. I really love them a lot for they are golden and they can jazz up an outfit, especially a monochrome one immediately.

Black and Gold is the match made in heaven. They complement each other like no other duos do. The combination of black and gold is timeless, eternal. Black is one of my favourite colours and gold (read golden metal) is my current obsession. This post is the upshot of that.

I went for a very minimal makeup- just the Lakme CC Cream, a touch of compact and a hint of red lipstick (Maybelline Bold Matte MAT5) just to focus on the stunning necklace. Yes, now that the post is up, I realize I could have smiled more 😛

Hello all, today I am going to share with you my experience with Gia Bath & Body Works soaps. You must be familiar with the brand name for these soaps have created quite a buzz around, if you haven’t heard about this brand then let me tell you. Gia Bath and Body works is a venture pioneered by Mrs. Gayatri Brown. The soaps she makes are handcrafted and natural, or as they say- “Handcrafted with love”. These soaps are luxurious in terms of their designs, ingredients and effect.  People are raving about it not only because these are somewhat unconventional and out of the box but also because these are perfectly effective for the skin without any kind of side-effect. I would say these are not just soaps, these are arts.
Price: Rs250/– Rs280/-

It is a few months ago when I received a package from Gayatri, packed with three beautiful soaps. The moment I opened the parcel, a whiff blew my mind and my heart away. The aroma that the box contained was out of this world! The parcel contained three of their soaps- Mocha Crème Body Polishing Bar, Charcoal & Cream and Blossom. The three soaps were full of three different magnificent aromas. I am briefly discussing about these soaps-

Gia Bath & Body Works Luxury Handmade Soaps Experience and Review| Treats for your Skin

Gia Bath & Body Works Luxury Handmade Soaps Experience and Review| Treats for your Skin

1. Mocha Crème Body Polishing Bar: This one smells so delicious that you might end up eating it (Not going to lie, I almost did it). I had no idea a soap could smell so yummy. Its aroma is just similar to that of a chocolate cake’s and to some extent it smells like coffee and dark chocolate. Oh, I am confused! It looks like a piece of chocolate pastry with cream on the top and coco powder sprinkled on it. This particular soap is full of scrubbing granules thus it is efficient for cleansing as well as for exfoliating. This soap had made my bath exotic and heavenly. Ingredients such as Shea butter and Cocoa butter help in keeping the skin soft, supple and moisturized even though you are using a soap. I have normal skin and this soap did not cause any trouble to it. I did not experience any dryness or irritation.
Ingredients of Mocha Crème Soap: Liquid Silk, Cocoa Powder, Dark forest coffee grounds, Fresh Cream, Milk, Cocoa Butter, Virgin Olive Oil, Castor Bean Oil, Virgin Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Distilled water, Fragrance/Essential Oil Blend.

2. Charcoal & Cream: This is another amazing soap from Gia Bath & Body Works. This one smells divine as well. You can definitely feel how natural it is by smelling it. The smell somehow reminded me of the Naked Potion Lotion by Lisa Haydon that I had finished earlier this year and that’s great because I loved it. One thing that you can’t avoid is its stunning design. This surely shows how dedicated the maker is to her work. This is how a handmade, artisan soap should look like. This soap also did not cause any type of irritation to my skin rather it nourished it from within.
Ingredients of Charcoal & Cream Soap: Liquid silk, Fresh Cream, Activated charcoal, Milk, Cocoa butter, Virgin Olive oil, Castor Bean oil, Virgin Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Distilled water, Fragrance/Essential oil blend.

3. Blossom: If you are a floral scent lover, then you must get this soap. It smells so fresh, so floral and absolutely non-chemically. The soap looks really exotic with a few colourful specks on it that resembles scattered flower petals. This particular soap has a lot of ingredients (oils and butters) which restore the lost moisture and eliminate any dryness. Again this does not cause any irritation. At least for me, it didn’t.
Ingredients of Blossom Soap: Shea butter, Olive oil, Goats milk, Cocoa butter, Rice bran oil, Coconut oil, Oats cream, Sodium Hydroxide, Colorant, Aqua, Fragrance/Essential oil blend.
In today’s life, everybody is concerned about their skin, specially women. No one takes any chance when it comes to choosing skincare, makeup or bath and body products. In this situation, if a brand provides you the best products which at the same time are vegan, natural and chemical-free then no one can restrain themselves from trying these beauties. The price might be quite high but if you have used it then you would know that these soaps are worth the price. These are handmade, made with high quality handpicked natural ingredients, they look extremely exotic and they last really long. I don’t mind spending for the products that are full of the above mentioned qualities. The regular soaps comes in a great quantity so I make sure to cut them in halves and then use one half at time. I never was a soap-lover, I used to use shower gels and creams but Gia Bath & Body Works has completely changed my idea of soaps. I have ordered a couple of soaps afterwards and loving them. I will review them as soon as I finish them. I wish to order their cupcake soaps and cake soaps next. They also have a range of body butters, skin polishes and shower gels. If you have not tried them, do it now. You can contact Gayatri through their FacebookPage.

I hope you liked the post. Please comment below for any query or suggestions. You can mail me anytime at I would really appreciate if you join me on Facebook and Twitter. Also, to know more about my life follow me on Instagram. Love you all and see you in my next post. Till then keep spreading joy. Ciao.

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Eye-Concentrate Launch Event and Bloggers Meet| Courtesy: The Body Shop India
If you are following me on Instagram you would know that I was invited for a product launch and bloggers event at City Center, Kolkata by The Body Shop. We, at first were kept in some suspense about the product. On 13th November, 2014, Bollywood actress and the brand ambassador of The Body Shop India, Jacqueline Fernandez was in the city to unveil the product. The product is an eye-concentrate from the Nutriganics range, named as Drops of Youth Eye concentrate. We, the Kolkata bloggers were presented with the Drops of Youth Power Duo which consists of the newly launched eye-concentrate and a skin serum.
Drops of Youth Power Duo is rich in the perfect combination of Nature and Science. The stem-cells of the Edelweiss plant that grows in the Alpine region has been used to made the products. These products- the Power Duo i.e. the eye concentrate and the serum get absorbed to the skin and make it more youthful and fights the signs of ageing effectively. When the lovely Aradhika Mehta, the National Manager of The Body Shop India was explaining us the formulation the only word that kept resonating in my mind was ‘Natural’- who doesn’t like to feed their skin with natural ingredients.
The Drops of Youth Power Duo makes your skin firmer and younger looking while the eye-concentrate makes the eye area bright and the eyes wide open. It fights fatigue and all the ageing signs like under-eye bags and fine lines.
Apart from the launch, the bloggers were offered some fun activities like taking instant pictures, eating delicious snacks, getting their portraits and caricatures done and a lot of chit chat and enjoyment. It was my first time attending an event, so I was a little nervous at first but not till Swarnali (Dreams and Drama) came up to me and gave me a hug. Then I got to meet a bunch of lovely Kolkata bloggers. I always wanted to meet Swarnali and Shayoni and The Body Shop India made my wish come true. I am really happy that I got the opportunity to meet the lovely girls there. I can’t forget to name the two beautiful ladies- Aanchal and Aastha who were very sweet throughout the event and made me feel very comfortable there.

Memories that I brought home with me
Gifts we were presented with- Drops of Youth Power Duo
I was so excited to talk to the people there that I almost forgot that I had brought my camera. Anyways, I took a few snaps that I have posted here, the rest of the photos were by The Body Shop India Facebook fan page. I will mention that in the captions. We were presented with the Power Duo and currently they are on the testing table. I have started using them and so far I am loving them. I will review the products after the testing period is over.
Thanks for reading the post. I hope you liked it. For more information on the products visit and for more pictures of the event visit their Facebook page.
Hello all! hope you all have enjoyed Diwali a lot. Today I am going to show you what I recently bought. This haul is a fashion haul and comprises of clothes and fashion accessories. I think this is my first ever fashion haul in the blog. Anyways, let’s jump into the post-
There was a sale on Jabong recently. Being a deal-hunter, I grabbed the opportunity to fill up my wardrobe a little bit as I always run out of good clothes right at the crucial moment. I bought two tops from People. Let’s check out-

The first one, as you can see, has a pastel green shade in the front and brown at the back. The top fits me very well. It doesn’t cling to your body at all. It’s very comfy and lets your body breath.  I am really into loose-fits and comfy clothes these days. The front of this top is Viscose Spandex and the backside is Linen. The second top is again a loose-fit, comfy top. I don’t actually remember the material but it is very light-weight and comfortable. Doesn’t irritate the skin and lets it breath. It is loose-fit but ingeniously highlights the curves of your body.

These two tops are again from Jabong. It has been ages since I bought them. I thought of showing them to you now. These are from Harpa and made up of the same material, that is Viscose. Both of them almost looks the same, they have these net detailing at the neck area which give them the oomph and breaks the monotony of the solid colours. I loved both of them so much that I bought them. Call me insane, but that’s me! 😛
My Recent Fashion Haul| Harpa, People, OASAP, D-Muse, Crunchy Fashion
These two tops I bought from the OASAP credit that I won long ago in Preethi’s giveaway. The bracelet you’ll see afterwards are from OASAP as well. I found the watermelon-prints very cute so I had to get it. Though it looks very short in length, but at the same time it is decently long. The heart-printed top is cute also, but I found it a little over-sized though I clearly remember I had ordered a size S L

This trouser is from Myntra when there was a festive sale going on. It’s from D-Muse and originally priced at 999/- but I got it in a 30% off discount. Happy J I love the zip detailing at the end. This is the moment when I wish I were a little taller. Sad L

These two are my current favourite possession right now. The bracelet is, as told before, from OASAP and the ear-cuff is by Crunchy Fasion, bought from I have bragged about it a couple of times on Facebook and Instagram (follow me if you don’t :P). I am currently into ear-cuffs and planning to buy a number of them J

So, that’s all for my recent fashion purchases. Stay tuned to my Facebook and Instagram to know more about my upcoming hauls. Till then, keep smiling and stay beautiful J
