Hi, guys! Today, I will be reviewing an amazing matte blue liquid eyeliner from Faces. It’s the Faces Ultime Pro Matte Play Eyeliner in Blue. I am a big fan of Faces eyeliners. So, when the PR asked me if I would like to try their new matte eyeliners, I readily agreed. This range has two variants- one black and one blue. I was sent the blue variant for review purpose which I really appreciate because not always you get to try matte blue eyeliners!

As I mentioned earlier, Faces has launched its new matte liquid liner range a few months back after successfully launching their matte lip colours and nail paints. They have launched this in two variants- Black and Blue. Here’s what the brand has to say about the range-

Packaging– The Faces Ultime Pro Matte Play Eyeliner comes in a small, sleek plastic packaging. The colour of the tube resembles the colour of the liner. The applicator is very meticulously designed. It’s a felt-tip applicator with a long, pointy tip making it perfect for beginners or someone like me who always tend to mess up the winged liner.

Colour– The Faces Ultime Pro Matte Play Eyeliner- Blue is a beautiful shade of blue. It is in between navy blue and midnight blue. I quite like the colour as it gives a pop of colour without being too vibrant. I usually avoid coloured eye liners but when I do, I make sure it’s not too vibrant. This matte blue eyeliner gives me what I exactly need.

Formula- I am absolutely in love with the formula of this Faces Ultime Pro Matte Play Eyeliner. It is smooth, not too runny nor too thick, it is just the perfect formula. The application is pretty smooth, glides on easily on the lids and gives an opaque finish in one stroke.

I am in love with this eye liner since I started using it. I am not very fond of coloured eyeliners but I can experiment with blue. What I love the most about this eyeliner is that it settles into a completely matte finish which is very rare to find in Indian market. Another thing I love about this eye liner is that it glides on smoothly and you don’t need to scribble across your lids to get an opaque application. Also, the long and pointy tip makes it easier to draw precise lines and wings. The staying power is pretty good. It stayed for 5-6 hours on me without budging or fading and I have oily eyelids. It takes a few seconds for the liner to dry to a completely matte finish. The only con is that the eye liner is not waterproof.

Overall, I really enjoy using this Faces Ultime Pro Matte Play Eyeliner in Blue. I would suggest you guys try it out. It is worth the money spent. I am sure you won’t be disappointed.

When it comes to an instant makeover and a no-fuss, running-late makeup look, I am very much dependent on intense black eyeliners and statement lip colours. Ever since I finished my Ikonic Gel Eyeliner Pencil I have been hunting for something like that. Finally, my quest came to an end when I found the Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal.

Faces has recently launched this iconic product which is basically an eye pencil with the formula of a gel liner. I have used this Gel Kajal for quite a few times and now I am ready to share my own views on the product.

Packaging- Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal comes in a black cardboard box with all the details printed on it. The kajal is just like a normal eyeliner pencil with a smudger sponge at the end. Both the ends are protected with transparent plastic caps. It is not a retractable eye pencil. You have to sharpen it in order to keep using it. It comes with its own sharpener.

Texture- The texture of the Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal is very creamy. It glides on the eyelids very smoothly and effortlessly which ensures an easy and even application. Even in this cold weather, it has not become dry. The finish is definitely not matte. It gives a semi-matte to a glossy finish.

Pigmentation- The pigmentation of the Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal is amazing! It gives out an intense black colour which is great for special occasions. I have barely used any eyeliner/kajal from an Indian brand that has this kind of dark black colour.

Wear Time- The staying power of the Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal is quite average. It is very soft and smooth to apply but it does not last for a long time. On my eyelids, it lasted for about 2-3 hours at a stretch. It lasts longer on the upper lash line in comparison to the lower lash line.

To sum up, I can say that I really liked the formula of this kajal. The intensity is really great. I really liked how it glided on my eyelids and gave an opaque black line in a single swipe. Being it a soft and smooth formula, smudging it out is very easy. I always reach out for this kajal whenever I have to glam up within a very short time. This kajal would be a great option for those who need a quick glam makeup without using a tonne of products and for those who are always on the go. The sad part is that it does not stay long on the waterline. I have oily waterline and the product started to smudge pretty quick on my bottom lashline. If you are one who has extremely oily eyelids then this product is not for you.  Except for the fact that it needs sharpening quite often (which results in wastage of product) and its wear time I liked everything about the Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal. This product did not cause any kind of allergy or irritation to my eyes.

Recently, I was on a hunt for a good loose powder for every day. You know how hot and humid is West Bengal right now. So, I was thinking of ditching my compacts and try a loose powder instead. Today I am going to review something that I had been testing for more than two weeks and am finally ready to share my opinion with you. I am talking about the Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder. I had heard a lot of good things about their Ultime Pro range, especially the lip products but never got to try them.

It does not clog pores and is hypoallergenic. It comes with a unique, spill-proof, easy-to-use applicator. Suitable for light to medium coverage on all skin types.

Packaging- Faces does an amazing job in terms of packaging. No matter what the price tags are, all their products come in a sleek, black outer packaging. It gives the feeling of a higher end product. The Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder comes in a black, plastic case with a metallic screw lid. The lid has an attached sponge/puff as an applicator. The case has a sifter that is used for dispensing the right amount of product and to ensure there is no spillage. The packaging is very thoughtful which I liked.

Application- You can apply the product directly using the puff, which I don’t usually do. I like to use a powder brush instead. I take a fluffy eye brush and swirl it on the sifter and set my under-eye concealer and for the rest of my face, I use a medium powder brush.

Shade- Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder comes in 5 shades i.e. Natural Beige, Ivory Beige, Golden Beige, Honey Beige and Sand Beige. I got the shade Golden Beige which has a yellow undertone to it. Although the shade looks pretty dark in the container but it looks natural when blended into my skin. It will suit medium someone with skin tone perfectly.

Texture- The texture of the Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder is silky smooth. It is a very finely milled powder that goes on smoothly on the skin. The product is very lightweight which makes it useful for summers.

Coverage- The coverage of this product is not completely sheer as it is not a translucent powder. It gives a very light coverage when applied using the puff that comes with it. It does not cover blemishes or any kind of discoloration or marks. Being a light coverage product, there is no chance of it making your face cakey.

Wear Time- This product stayed onto my face for almost 6 hours which is pretty good for this weather. It does not control oil or sweat, not does it clog the pores.

  • Has a nice sheen.
  • Gives a natural finish.
  • Good staying power.

Downs-

  • Light coverage.
  • Does not come with any SPF.
  • Does not control oil.

Overall, I really liked the Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder as it is suitable for all skin types and is very lightweight. I use it every time I step out of the house, especially if I am in a hurry. I use it in two ways, sometimes I usually dust it all over my face just set my makeup and mattify the skin a little bit, but sometimes I like to use it to bake my makeup. This product has a slight sheen to it which gives out a very subtle glow to the skin. The brilliantly handy packaging makes it travel-friendly and easy to use. Although it has a very light coverage I like it because I don’t necessarily want my compact or powders to be full coverage. I just like to use them to set my foundation and concealer.  This product, in my opinion, does not do something really exceptional for your face. The price tag, thus, is slightly higher for the job it does. I would have really appreciated if they had SPF to it. I would recommend you guys to try out this product if you are looking for a powder that would give a natural finish.
