Style Guide: Current Fashion Trends from YOINS | My Wishlist

Hi, guys! Today I am here with another fashion post. This post is all about the current fashion trends that are ruling the world. We have witnessed a bunch of new trends emerging since 2016 till now. Where many of the old fashion that was like a craze gone for good, many new things are still coming. In one world, the world of fashion is getting through a revolution every day and we are quite liking it.

In this post, I am going to share some of my favourite trends of this year that I found on Yoins.com. Yoins is an e-commerce website that sells trendy new clothes and accessories for women. They have the latest collection of tops, bottoms, dresses, shoes and bags within a pocket-friendly price range.

1. Embroidery

Embroidery designs and embroidered patch works are ruling the market right now.  This is one of the most evident of all the current fashion trends. From dresses to tops to jeans, embroidery is everywhere. Here I am sharing a few of my favourite embroidered pieces from Yoins.

Embroidered Dress- How pretty is this dress! This should be appropriate for romantic dinners or date nights. This piece is so edgy and classy in my opinion.

Embroidered Jacket- An embroidered jacket can be your staple during fall and winter this year. These jackets are very quirky, fun and can be worn with your casual everyday wear. Embroidered denim jackets and bomber jackets are available on Yoins at a very reasonable price.

Embroidered Accessories- Now this is something that I had never seen anywhere. Yoins has a range of embroidered chokers and bracelets which I found very cool. They can be paired with anything from printed clothes to colour block ones.

2. Choker-Style Tops

Now, this is another of the trends I was talking about. Choker style tops and dresses are everywhere! This type of tops comes with a neck that is actually a choker and that is made out of the same fabric the top is made of. Seeing the picture, you might have very well understood it.

3. Lace-up Front

I first saw this on one of That Boho Girl’s videos and liked it so much. This types of tops have a deep v-neck with laces which looks so cool. This is basically a basic casual t-shirt with a unique statement design. You can wear it during summers on in winters with an over-sized jacket.

4. Velvet Dress

This trend is doing rounds since Autumn, 2016 and I have been eyeing for my first one since then. From Kendall Jenner to Victoria Beckham, this trend has enamoured a bunch of celebrities. Velvet dresses were one hell of a trend and it continues to be so. This blush coloured shift dress is my favourite from Yoins.

5. Bell Sleeves

Another of the current fashion trends is bell sleeves. This is another of those trends that came back and I am so glad for it. Bell sleeves not only looks cute but also it allows air in the sleeves to keep it cool. Unlike other full-sleeved clothes, bell sleeves are more comfortable to wear during summer and it also protects your skin from the sun.

6. Transparent Heels

I cannot tell you how much I love this trend. From east to west, this trend is rocking everywhere. Be it celebs or fashion bloggers, everyone seems to be loving this trend. Transparent heels are obviously a fashion statement, but along that it adds height without being so obvious. The heels are transparent so it fakes height. That’s smart, ain’t it?

Style Guide: Shrugs for Summers?

Hi, guys! Hope you all are doing great. Today’s post will be about fashion, summer fashion to be specific. Summer is inevitable and unavoidable, but we cannot skip to be stylish and show off our fashion skills for that, can we? Let me speak for you, the answer is no. So, what do we do? Styling during summer should be clever and error-free. Some might say that layering is not for Indian summers but let me tell you that it is possible, only if you do it the right way i.e. the clever and error-free way. This post is going to be all about the different type of shrugs and how you can style them.

If you have a good eye for emerging trends then you will definitely know that there are different types of shrugs that have been introduced in the last few years. There are boleros, kimonos, capes etc. In this post, we will be discussing the various ways you can style the different types of shrugs.

Shrugs are the best ways to style your basic, casual outfits to make them more fun and less boring. Suppose you wear a basic, printed dress to work every day. Now, wear a bolero shrug over it and see how the whole look changes in front of you. These are the little somethings that add spark to you otherwise mundane outfits. Like any other accessories, shrugs are also used for enhancing your look and for other things that we will be discussing later.

You cannot plan your beach vacation without packing a cute floral kimono in your bag. Kimonos are very lightweight and airy. They do not have any closure so they can be worn with any outfit and you won’t feel the heat or any kind of suffocation. You can even wear a kimono to shopping because they can be thrown on easily and are light and breezy. There are so many types of kimonos available in the market made with different materials like cotton. crochet, lace, chiffon etc.

Kimonos will make your beach vacations stylish, fashionable and your hands will be safe from the sun.

Another clever way to wear a shrug is by throwing a cotton or linen shirt over your outfit for an effortless styling. Cotton and linen are the most breathable of materials. The unbuttoned shirt will be comfy, breezy and easy to wear. The sleeves can be folded if you like but I’d suggest keeping your sleeves unfolded as it will prevent your skin from getting tanned.

Another new trend that has hit the Indian market is cape-style shrugs. They are the prettiest and the classiest. These are mostly sleeveless, giving some space to your arms to breathe. The fabric is lightweight which allows it to drape beautifully. Generally, a Cape does not have any closure but sometimes it can be tied around the neck.

So, these were the various types of shrug that can help you stylise your outfits during summer. I love kimonos a for they are the cutest and most flirt of them all. Plus, these are super comfy and lightweight. These can be found in all the best clothing websites India has. The question of the day is-

Celeb Style: Shraddha Kapoor’s Style in Ok Jaanu| Flaunt Your Basics

Hello, beauties! Thank you for taking your time out to read my post. At the beginning of this year, I promised myself to start writing in new categories on this blog so that you guys do not get bored of the content I share. I did a small analysis of the content and I noticed that despite this being a beauty and fashion blog, I post more beauty related posts than fashion posts. This year, I am determined to post more fashion related posts for you. This thought gave me a beautiful idea. We all envy the closets of our favourite stars or the outfits they wear in a particular movie. So, I thought of decoding their styles for you and find you similar but inexpensive items so that you get inspired by or replicate the outfits yourselves. The internet is full of these types of articles. I love reading them and even got inspired by some of them when I was a teenager. So, I thought of creating the same for my own lovely readers. From now on, I will be decoding celebrity styles in different movies and post them under the ‘Celeb Style‘ category. Today’s post will be all about decoding Shraddha Kapoor’s style in the movie Ok Jaanu.

I loved Shraddha Kapoor’s style in Ok Jaanu. The movie is out and a lot of you must have watched it. I haven’t watched the movie yet. I have watched the trailer a couple of times and loved Shraddha’s signature style in the movie. From her makeup to her wardrobe, it is all about basics and casuals which I loved because it is quite similar to my own style. I always prefer wearing casual and comfy clothes whenever I go out. In this post, I will list some of the outfits that Shraddha wore in the movie and will also link the similar items that you can find online. So, let’s start-

The next outfit I am going to talk out is this cute graphic tee and flared, pleated skirt combo. I am not much into skirts but whenever I see these type of combo I love it. Black and White does not only give a retro look but also it has the edge and class we always look for in an outfit. No matter what occasion it is, not matter what place it is, work or party, nothing can beat black and white. One of the poster’s had this killer outfit by Shraddha Kapoor and I am absolutely digging it. In this picture, Shraddha is wearing a black cut-out top and a pair of black and white vertical striped trousers. As I said earlier, I loved Shraddha Kapoor’s Signature look in Ok Jaanu. I loved how she has maintained the minimal yet chic style. Chase Your Dreams to be the Eternal Fashion Diva

Every time I go out for shopping, there are a few styles of women dresses that persistently attract me for no reason at all as I already have most of them in adequate quantity. It is not surprising to see the latest styles in jeans for women or in palazzo pants or in culottes, as these mark the beginning of a new trend which is going to last for long. But the latest styles do not mean that these would be suitable for everyone at every point in time. This is the reason I am always inclined to what suits me best, or what I am complimented for the most.

The last time when I went for an impromptu shopping session with Amit, I was quite obvious to the fact that I would hesitate a bit. He sarcastically pinpointed towards the women dresses in skater styles which I am a big fan of. The way he showed me the way to the same, I knew that he was hardly interested in making me buy one of them. To save myself from further taunts, I went against his expectations and turned myself towards the section of jeans for women. Seeing me walk towards the different aisle made him realise that I was quite adamant about not buying the skater women dresses this time, but did he actually know the reality? I am sure he did not. Women are women, they are stubborn and a bit crazy for the things they are highly fond of, especially when it comes to fashion apparels. No wonder, while I was looking at the stylish collection of jeans for women, I was getting distracted because of the previous aisle which I surpassed.

To make the next move, I looked at a few palazzo pants and culottes as the latest summer styles, he accompanied me to both the sections, made me try out a few of the selected ones and we finally bought one of the culottes for our next month’s long weekend trip.
