Hi, guys! Hope you are doing great. Today, I am going to talk about my experience at the Club Salon where I went out to try one of their skin care treatments. If you are following me on Snapchat (Username- sayantinee) then you might have seen the whole story behind it. I also shared my thoughts there. I was looking for a good therapy for my skin as I was facing a lot of problems, one of them being dullness. My face was lacking that inner glow and it was looking really unhealthy. Recently, when I was invited to try one of the facial treatments offered by Club Salon, I readily agreed.

I decided to go for the Sarat Bose Road branch as it was more convenient for me than the other four. I went there on last Thursday. I had already an appointment there. It is great to make an appointment before you step in to save time and also you can ask for your preferred staff at the time of appointment. As soon as I reached there I was welcomed by their courteous staff. Then I was requested to make myself comfortable and offered a glass of water which, I felt, was really sweet and comforting.

Then, I was introduced to Doma, who was supposed to do my facial. She escorted me to the facial room. The room was prim and tidy and was smelling nice. There were dim lights which made the ambience very soothing and relaxing. Now, let me take you through the entire regimen, step-by-step.

At first, she examined my face to determine my skin type. She told me that I have a normal skin which was shocking as I have always known that I have a combination skin! Anyhoo, she also told me that my face is a bit tanned. After examining my face, she chose the suitable O3+ products for the facial. She first cleansed my face with a cleansing lotion and then applied a de-tanning mask made of Eucalyptus and camphor. The mask has a bit of cooling and burning sensation and also a strong scent. She left the mask on my skin for about 10 minutes and then wiped it off with a wet washcloth.

Step 2- Peel-off Mask
Step 3- Brightening Mask
Step 3- Brightening Mask

Now, she applied another mask which, I was told, has a skin whitening property. It was basically a peel-off mask that was also wiped off after 10-15 minutes. Next, another mask was applied which had whitening and brightening benefits. After leaving it for 10-15 minutes, she started massaging my face with a massage cream which is mainly made to make your skin glow from the inside. The massage was really relaxing and rejuvenating that I almost fell asleep. It was quite obvious, from the strokes she used, that she is a very skilled lady and also has a lot of experience. I can’t exactly recall how many minutes she spent on massaging my face but it was definitely 15-20 minutes. After the massage was over, all my fatigue was gone and there was an instant glow to my skin which was so evident.

I really liked the hour-long (probably, more) session. This particular ‘Shine & Glow from Agelock’ facial regime will cost you approximately Rs2,900 which is totally worth spending considering the result it offers.

Reviews of the Products I got from Skin18.com

Here are the mini reviews of the products I received from Skin18.com. I have combination skin that becomes very oily during summers. All views are based on my personal experience. So, it may vary from others. Let’s start-

My Haul from Skin18.com & Mini Review| cherryontopblog.com

Beauty Friends II Essence Mask Sheet Pack (Royal Jelly)-This sheet mask is supposed to moisturize your face and it does that perfectly. The description tells you to apply it on a well-cleansed face and leave it there for 20-30. You are not supposed to rinse your face off after removing the mask, allowing the nutrients to soak into your skin. This mask made my skin soft and supple. I applied it in the night and the effect lasted till the next morning. This mask is priced at $0.80.

Four Season Multi Vita Brightening Active Mask- This mask, as the name suggests, contains multi vitamins such as Vitamin B5, Vitamin C and Vitamin E which are known to work wonders for your skin. This mask is supposed to do a lot of things like whitening, regeneration, antibacterial wound treatment, anti-aging, moisturizing, prevention of acne, prevention of allergy and immunity control. I just used this for once and I have only noticed a revitalized skin after using it. It does not do anything to the complexion of your skin. This is priced at $0.95.

Luke Mugwort Nose Cleansing Strip // Luke Lemon Tea Tree Nose Cleansing Strip- I never used a nose strip before I got to try these. You have to apply it on slightly wet nose for them to stick to the nose perfectly. You need to let them sit there until they become dry and then you have to pull them off the nose. I showed a demo of it on my Snapchat if you remember. Both the strips works amazing on blackhead and whiteheads. They remove them perfectly. Yes, it hurts a bit but it is definitely worth the pain. I am looking forward to getting a box full of them! The Lemon tea tree one has a strong tea tree fragrance which some of you may not like. I did not have any problem with that. They are priced at $0.65 each.

My Haul from Skin18.com & Mini Review| cherryontopblog.com

It’s Skin Todak Todak Pack Nutrition (Wash-Off Mask) with Honey and Coconut- If you guys follow me on Snapchat you will know the whole process of me trying this mask for the first time. It is basically a gel based face pack, almost has a jelly-like texture to it and it is transparent. It doesn’t dry off on your face, unlike other wash-off masks. When I tried it for the first time,  I was not satisfied with it. But, after that, I found it to be great for my skin. It moisturized my skin very well, plus, it made my skin tighter. It can be used as a wash-off mask and also as a sleeping mask. It feels a bit warm on the and extremely hydrating. This pack contains coconut and manuka honey. It comes in a 10ml packaging which good for at least two uses. I used it for four times. This one is a bit pricey, $2.85 for a 10ml pack.

Overall, I liked these products from Skin18.com a lot. All these products are tested to treat various skin problems. I myself have seen and experienced good results on my skin. They did not cause any allergies or breakouts. I am looking forward to trying their eye-patches and more sheet masks. I highly recommend the sheet masks* from Skin18.com.

*Sheet masks are ready-made masks made of disposable cotton sheets, drenched in a solution of nutrients that are supposed to work as a facial treatment for various purposes.

I hope you found this review helpful. If you did then please comment below saying what you feel about this post. I value your opinions. If you want me to post a detailed review on any of these then let me know in the comments. I will be happy to do it for you. Until next time, be safe & keep smiling!

Disclaimer- Products sent by the brand in exchange for an honest review.

It would be an understatement to say that I dislike summers. Bangs stuck to the forehead, makeup melting at a lightning speed and pimples attacking my face are just some of the problems that my super oily skin has to face during summers. Needless to say, summers and dog days are synonymous for me. However having dealt with such a skin type for more than 5 years, I have learned about some amazing tips which help me in combatting it to an extent. Since I am an  ardent reader of beauty blogs, I have discovered some pro make-up artist tips which have helped me in doing the same. I am going to share those very tips and tricks with you in this post. Let me get started with them!

Have a break-up with harsh cleansers

I was under a misconception for a long time that by using harsh cleansers, oil will be away from my oily skin for a considerable amount of time. Clearly, I was under a false impression. I wondered how my oily skin still felt so oily just within minutes of washing it. It’s after a bit of research that I discovered that I was wrong. When you use a harsh cleanser, it strips off moisture content from your skin. In a bid to compensate for it, your skin produces even more oil. This is why it is always recommended to use a gentle cleanser that removes oil and impurities without creating dryness on the skin. My favourites are Forest essentials Kashmiri Saffron cleanser and Dove beauty moisture face wash. Use Jabong coupons to purchase them at discounted prices with the bonus of Cashback.

Don’t touch makeup the wrong way

How many times have you looked into the mirror after a long, hot day and realized where did all the foundation go? The obvious next step after seeing this is taking out the compact from your purse and touching up your face to mattify it. But wait! Think for a moment! Does putting on powder on an oily skin even make sense for you? The right way to touch-up makeup is by first blotting away the excess oil by using a blotting sheet and then using compact.

Use a moisturiser

Another widely spread misconception among oily skinned girls is that they should not use a moisturiser. Do not think of moisturiser as your enemy. To keep your skin hydrated, it is essential to use a moisturiser. Not using a moisturiser will also make your makeup look cakey. Oily-skinned people should user a water based moisturiser it hydrates skin without making it greasy. These types of moisturisers are lightweight in texture and get in absorbed completely. Clean & Clear Skin Balancing Moisturizer is much-raved drugstore option. You can find a huge variety of moisturisers online on Limeroad. Do not forget to avail Limeroad coupons via CashKaro to get awesome discounts and Cashback offers to lower your bill.

Layering is the key

Be it eyeshadows or blushes, you need to learn the art of layering. If you are fed up of your beauty products fading away within a short span of time, start layering. Layer a powder blush over a cream blush or stain to prolong the staying power. Use cream based eyeshadows underneath powder eyeshadows. Secure pencil eyeliners with a liquid eyeliner on top to avoid fading and smudging.

Seal your efforts with a fixing spray

Picture this: You spend more than an hour in front of the mirror, putting on multiple products on your skin labelled with labels like “Long-stay”, “non-comedogenic” and more. It’s been only 10 minutes for you in the sun and you can already feel your makeup evaporating. That is super annoying, right? Bid au revoir to such a painful situation by getting hold of a makeup fixing spray. A makeup fixing spray should be sprayed from an appropriate distance. It will help you in making your makeup last for long hours in spite of the sweltering heat you will be in.

Morning Skincare Routine for Winters| cherryontopblog.com

Hi guys, today I am very excited to share my winter time everyday skincare routine with you guys. Ever since I started posting makeup looks on my blog, you guys have been constantly requesting me to post about my skincare routine. This actually is the most requested post on my blog since I started blogging. I am happy that I am finally posting this on my blog.

Before starting off, I would like to let you know a few important things. First, I am already blessed with a good skin, I never had breakouts, freckles or blemishes. I occasionally do tend to get one or two small pimples somewhere around my brows or on my nose but not more than that. I have a combination skin type which means my t-zone is oily and the rest of the face is normal to dry. But, in winters, my t-zone becomes really dry and flaky. So, my winter skincare routine is totally different from my summer skincare routine. The second thing I would like to tell you is that I do not say you can get a perfect skin just by copying my skincare routine. We all have different skin types. What works for me might not work for you. If you have the exact skin type like I have then you can surely use the products I use. If you are not taking care of your skin then do start the basic at the earliest. Don’t forget to cleanse, tone and moisturize your face at least twice a day. Skincare is the best investment you choose for yourself.

My morning skincare routine consists of three parts- Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing. I will now be talking about each step elaborately and I will also mention the products I use.

Cleansing

The first thing I do right after getting up in the morning is brushing my teeth followed by cleansing my face. I make sure there is no change in this routine. The cold splash of water immediately wakes me up and makes me feel fresh. I love that feeling. I try to wash my face thrice a day but most of the days I end up washing it only twice. I don’t use any particular face wash for a long time. I keep switching my face washes firstly because I want my skin to be responsive, secondly and most importantly because my skin doesn’t react weirdly to different products. Anything and everything that I use suits my skin well. I just finished using my Kama Ayurveda Rose Jasmine Face Cleanser (review will be up very soon) which I mentioned in my October Favourites post. Currently, I am using the Vitamin E Hydrating Face Wash by Gia Bath & Body Works. I received it as a deluxe sample in my November Subscription Box.

Scrubbing

I prefer scrubbing my face after I wash my face. I scrub my face every alternate day. I don’t like the feeling of bumps on my face plus, I have blackheads appearing every day. So, it is necessary for me to use a scrub regularly. I am currently using the VLCC Indian Berberry Face Scrub which is quite good in keeping my face hydrated even after scrubbing. So far my favourite facial scrub for winter is the Lotus Whiteglow Yogurt and Oatmeal Scrub, mostly because of its creamy texture and larger scrubbing particles.

Toning

I was not much into toning my skin until I found out how seriously effective it is for my skin. In summers, it takes care of the oiliness and in winters, it balances my skin properly. There are different types of toners for different purposes available in the market. I am currently using the Kama Ayurveda Pure Rose Water which I use as a toner, mostly because it balances the moisture during winters very well. Also, it keeps my face fresh throughout the day.

Moisturizing

Winter is very harsh to my skin. My skin feels like a paper if I don’t use a good moisturizer during winters. Recently I have found out my holy grail moisturizer for winters and it is the Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion. I barely need a moisturizer for the rest of the year but in winters, I need a heavy duty moisturizer to take care of my dry, flaky skin. This moisturizer does a great job hydrating my face for a long, long time.

My under-eye areas tend to get very dry during winters. So, I don’t forget to moisturize under the eyes as well. For that, I use my long time favourite eye cream which is The Body Shop’s Moisture White Shisho Brightening Eye Cream. I love this cream for two reasons- first, it has a great consistency that it doesn’t feel heavy on the delicate areas and secondly, it has a slight shimmer to it which helps to brighten up my under-eye areas.

For moisturizing my lips, especially during winters, I use a family-favourite cream that I have been using since childhood. It is the Boroline Antiseptic Ayurvedic cream. Being a Bengali, I have grown up relying on this cream. I love it. Nothing is as effective as Boroline on my chapped lips in winter.

Morning Skincare Routine for Winters| cherryontopblog.com

I was not a skincare person even a couple of years ago. The only skincare I used to do is to wash my face and apply a cream. But, that eventually ended up as a fail. I used to get frequent breakouts even if it was not that time of the month. I am so happy that I finally gave my skin some time and care and it gave me a great result. Now, I make sure I don’t skip my skincare routine whatsoever. I hope this post helped in encouraging you to start off with your own skincare regime. Do let me know if you have any query.

What is your favourite facial cleanser at this moment?

Let me know if you want me to post about my nighttime skincare routine for winters. I would love to share that with you. Till then, be safe & keep smiling!

My first experience with Cetaphil products was when I received a cleanser and moisturizer duo in one of my Fab Bags. Somehow I was not that impressed with either of them at that time. I quite liked the moisturizer as it was winter and my skin needed that extra hydration. About 3 months ago, I was looking for some skincare stuff for my mom. She has dry skin throughout the year, so I was looking for a moisturizer that would give her long-lasting hydration. Scrolling through the online website, I found this Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion for Dry to Very Dry Skin. I had trust in Cetaphil, so I bought it instantly. I was glad when my mom told me how effective it was on her. I could not resist myself from using it. Also, I have been suffering from dry patches around my lips (I’ll talk about it in a different post soon), so I thought of trying this lotion out and see if that works on me too or not.

Before getting into the review I must let you know something about my current skin condition. Although I have combination skin with extremely oily t-zone during the hotter months, in winters the scenario is completely opposite. In winters, my skin is extremely dry and flaky, especially the t-zone. Now, on to the review-

Packaging- The Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating lotion comes in a tube packaging unlike other Cetaphil tub or bottle packaging. It has a flip open cap which makes it perfect for travelling. I quite like the packaging because it is sturdy, travel-friendly and I have control over the dispensing. The tube comes packed in a plain carton. I like the regular clinical packaging of this product. Some things are great in their own classic way.

The Product- The white coloured lotion is not as lotion-y as one might think of. It is meant for hydrating dry to very dry skin after all. The consistency is enough to moisturize my flaky, dry skin. It is neither too thin nor too thick. It is lightweight but enough to keep the skin moisturized for hours. This product is non-fragrant which is a trait that a lot of you may like. It contains “Epidermal Replenishing Complex5, a unique combination of 5 key ingredients that protects dry skin and enhances hydration.

My thoughts- I am in love with this product since I used it for the first time. Previously, I had been using the Neutrogena Oil-free Moisturizer for Combination skin which failed to protect my skin in the winters. The Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion works really well for my skin. It keeps it moisturized for at least 10-12 hours (and more) which is great. I never had to reapply this while travelling. I use it religiously twice a day- in the morning and after the shower. I don’t love the feel it gives instantly after application, it takes a few minutes to get totally absorbed by the skin. It might feel a little greasy right after the application but it will not after it is absorbed by the skin.
Ups-
  • Convenient packaging.
  • Keeps skin moisturized for a long period of time.
  • Hydrates the skin evenly.
  • Does not clog pores. (Non-comedogenic)
  • Non-greasy.
  • Fragrance-free.
Downs-
Nothing.

Overall, I found the Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion very effective for my skin during winter. I can vouch for the long-lasting hydration it gives. I recommend this product to all of those who have extremely dry skin. It penetrates deep into the skin and provides ultimate hydration for a long time. My mom loves this, my sister who has sensitive skin also loves this. A 100g tube is enough for a person for an entire season. I will definitely repurchase this if I am able to finish it up completely before summer arrives (I don’t see it coming anytime soon). This has to be my winter skincare staple.

Have you used any of the Cetaphil moisturizers before?

I hope you find this review useful. If you did then don’t forget to share this post with your friends and family. I know a lot of you have been asking for my skincare routine. This is just to let you know that I am planning to post my skincare routine in parts (i.e. Morning Skincare Routine, Nighttime Skincare Routine) and that will be up next week. I will update you guys on Snapchat (sayantinee) or Facebook. Till then, be safe & keep smiling!
Skin is the canvas where the traces of years, experience, mistreatment, neglecting, bad diet and other influences are reflected. That’s why it demands special care and attention. Attaining desired radiant glow is never easy, but it’s not impossible. Skin radiance comes from both inside and outside.
To achieve the best and lasting results, you’ll have to change some habits from the roots, build skincare routine and, if needed, change your nutrition. Don’t worry, there is still time to do that, start with the new practice this guideline will recommend first thing in the morning and don’t give up. You’ll be amazed with the results.

 Glowing inside out

As mentioned above, healthy diet makes half of smooth and youthful skin. By eating certain foods, you can achieve perhaps even better results than with skincare products.
Nutrient that are rich with omega-3 fatty acids supply your skin with oils that can reduce inflammation and thus prevent acne, redness and scaly skin. Trout, salmon and herring are the best fishes for the job.
Foods with Vitamin C (kiwi, lemon, orange, tomato) stimulates collagen production and protects skin against wrinkles. The extra treat is dark chocolate which is helping your skin stay soft and hydrated. Speaking of hydration, it is crucial that you drink at least 2 liters of water (non-carbonated) per day, and sometimes even more.

Skincare routine

Developing healthy skincare routine is one of the most important steps to take to achieve wanted results. This means you need to wash your face regularly, especially before going to bed. Use makeup remover, gentle soap and only then rinse with water. Remove excess oil with toner and then apply moisturizer.
Make it a habit to exfoliate once a week in order to remove excess skin cells. You can make your own exfoliator or buy trusted product in a store. To keep your skin youthful, protect it from the sun, by applying sunscreen every time you are going outside.

 Finishing touches

If you are following these steps you already have glowing skin which needs just a bit more shine. For that, you can use woman’s most trusted tool – makeup.
Start the beautifying process with a primer to create a hydrated and smooth surface. Next, even out the tan with foundation (choose it based on your tan and skin type). If needed, cover spots (acne, redness) with concealer. Lock it all in with powder and accentuate cheekbones with blush or bronzer. Add an extra touch with nude or peach shade lip gloss. The results will be astonishing!
Soft pencil or eyeliner can be very effective solution if you want to highlight your eyes. You can apply the standard one or opt foreyeliner tattoo. However, for evening plans, you’ll need to try a little harder to make your skin glow and cheekbones pop, perhaps do some highlighting and contouring, and you are just few strokes of a makeup brush away from the Hollywood diva look.
There is no reason to have dull and dry skin if you can make it radiant. Where filet of salmon can’t help and exfoliating is just scratching the surface, some primer, foundation and blush will do the trick.

Hello all, I am back with a new post as promised. Today I am here with another review post. The product I am going to review today is a very famous makeup remover cum cleanser cum toner. It is the Bioderma Sensibio H2O micellar water. Bioderma is a well-known French skincare brand. They have a variety of products for almost every skin concern. Sadly, only a few products are available in India. I think among the few the Sensibio H2O is the largest selling product in India.

Before I proceed, let me tell you about micellar waters. Micellar waters are solutions that remove makeup and cleanse your face without the need to wash off. You can cleanse your face with a micellar water and just go to bed right after that. No fuss, right?

Now, let’s jump into the review-

Price: 599 INR for 100 ml and 860 INR for 250 ml.
Packaging: Bioderma Sensibio H2O comes in a clear plastic packaging with a pink flip open cap. The product description and the ingredients list is attached to the bottle in two separate labels. The packaging is sturdy and travel-friendly. The 100 ml pack is almost like a travel-sized packaging which is great if you want to carry it everywhere.

Product: The product is a water-based formula with a substantial cleansing property. It even looks like water. It is mildly scented although it is said to be fragrance-free. The best part is that it doesn’t contain alcohol.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Propylene Glycol, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Mannitol, Xylitol, Rhamnose, Fructooligosaccharides, Disodium Edta, Cetrimonium Bromide.

My Experience: I love using a toner after cleansing my face. It gives me a feeling of the cleaner face. I have been using the Bioderma Sensibio H2O for a month and I can say I am totally impressed by its quality. This multipurpose solution helps to remove makeup (even the most stubborn ones) as well as cleanse and tone your skin. As a perk for lazy people, it doesn’t require to be washed off afterwards (but I like to wash my face to finish off the cleansing process). I don’t like my toners to be scented but this one just bothers me much because it is subtly scented. It is safe for eyes. It doesn’t irritate my eyes or trouble my vision. It removes makeup very well and without any hassle. It is able to remove waterproof makeup from my eyes so gently without pulling and tugging. That’s definitely a great thing.

I have made a habit of using this product on a daily basis. I like to use it in the mornings because that is the time when my skin tends to get the oiliest and grimy. I use it after I cleanse my face with my favourite cleanser. It is non-oily but it doesn’t help with oiliness, neither it claims to do so. When it comes to removing makeup, I like to soak some of the product on a cotton ball or pad and hold it in both my eyes for a good 10-15 seconds and then wipe off. I learnt this technique from Debashree, an Indian YouTuber. It magically removes all the makeup (waterproof and non-waterproof) and grime. I had been using the Lakme Absolute Bi-Phased Makeup Remover but I ended up hating it as it burns my eyes. Now, I am absolutely happy with my Bioderma Sensibio H2O as a makeup remover as well as a mild cleanser cum toner. The best part is that you don’t need to carry a tonne of products when you are travelling. This product is an all-in-one product that can replace your makeup removers, cleansers and toners.
Here’s a demo for better understanding-
Ups:
  • Gently removes makeup and grime.
  • Removes makeup very effectively.
  • Mildly scented.
  • Suits every skin type.
  • Non-oily.
  • Water-based formula feels almost like water.
  • Light-weight formula.
  • Doesn’t need a rinse.
  • Gentle on eyes.
  • Doesn’t break out.
  • Doesn’t irritate the skin.
  • Easily available on almost all the leading online beauty stores in India.
Downs: No downside.
Overall, the product is something every woman needs to have in their kitty. It is affordable in terms of longevity. The 100 ml products go for a long time as it needs a little to clean up your face. I am in love with this product and I will be repurchasing it once I finish it. I recommend this product to everyone out there. I hope you liked my review. Hi lovelies, how are you all? I can’t believe it’s July already and my birthday is next month! Are you enjoying the monsoon?

Today I am here to review a product that I have been using for almost 2 months now. It is The Body Shop’s Moisture White Shiso Brightening Eye Cream (a mouthful!). Though I started using this almost four months ago, after using it for 15 days I had to stop using it while my skin was going through a major irritation and rashes. Later, I find out that it was because of a moisturizer that I was using then. After over a period of one month, I started using it again. I have been loving this product since then. Now, let’s know more about this product-

Product Description (As per the website):

A dual-action cream that brightens the eye area and improves darkened skin. The premium micro-circulating massager stimulates circulation to reduce signs of fatigue. Contains Shiso extract and Community Fair Trade organic aloe. Suitable for all skin types.
-Brightens and targets signs of fatigue around eyes.
-The skin around the eye area feels fresher and smoother.
-77% agree that skin tone around eyes is lighter after use* * Based on an external survey on 120
Asian women.
Price: 2,295 INR
Packaging: The Body Shop Moisture White Brightening Eye Cream comes in a sleek white plastic tube packaging with a metal dispenser-cum-applicator and a semi-transparent plastic screw cap.
Product: The product is white in colour, thick but lightweight and creamy in texture. It has a hint of sheen to it.
My Thoughts: The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso 2-in-1 Brightening Eye Cream is a very creamy and lightweight product that works really well to brighten up your under-eye area. I have oily skin and the most affected areas are my T-zone and under-eyes. Although the cream is very creamy, it does not makes my under-eyes greasy. The consistency of this product is neither runny nor very thick. It is just sufficient to spread evenly. It has a dash of shimmer to it that adds a sheen to the under-eye area in order to brighten it up. I like to apply it by taking one dot on my ring finger and warm it a bit with the ring finger of the opposite hand and then finally dab it on the areas where I need it. In this way, the product does not get wasted and a very less amount of product is used. I use the metal nozzle to blend the product into the skin rather than applying directly with it. The metal nozzle surely helps to soothe the eye area. I have not seen any dramatic reduction of my dark circles but the areas are brighter now.
Ups:
  • Moisturizes the under-eye areas very well.
  • Creamy yet not greasy.
  • Brightens up the eyes, giving them a healthy glow.
  • Non-allergic.
  • A little goes a long way.
  • The metal nozzle helps in soothing the under-eye skin.
Downs:
  • The product gets gathers in the outlet, creating a mess.
  • The packaging makes it impossible to keep track of the usage.
Overall, I love this product. It is now a must-have in my kitty. My skincare is almost incomplete without this. Every time I use it, it makes my eye area much more alive. I think you must give it a try once. I bet you would love it. I would love to know your thoughts on this product. I’ll be back with a new post very soon. Till then be safe & keep smiling!
*Disclaimer: PR sample but it didn’t affect my views in any way.

Hello lovelies, here I am back with another review as promised. I actually have been trying a lot of new launches for last couple of months and thus there is a delay in posting. Last month Garnier had launched another facial skincare product which is included in their Pure Active range. This is the High Foaming face wash. Garnier say that this product has the benefits of two commonly used Indian herbs- Neem and Tulsi (basil). Today, I will be sharing my experience with this product.

If you follow me on Instagram (@cherryontopblog), you must have seen a picture of the product. I have been using it since then. I think it has been almost a month since I started using it. I am now ready to deliver my views. So, let’s jump into it!

Price- 105 INR for 100gm and 60 INR for 50gm

Packaging- The first thing I liked about this product is its fresh packaging. It comes in a clear bottle with a regular flip cap. The packaging is sturdy, totally spill-proof so can be traveled with. The transparent bottle allows you to keep checking how much product you are left with. That’s a good thing for me.
Product- The product is a green coloured gel-based foaming cleanser. The consistency is slightly runny. It lathers a lot thus it is true to its claim of being a high foaming face wash.

My thoughts-  I wash my face with this face wash thrice a day. I normally take two drops on my palm and apply it directly on to the skin. Only two drops are adequate for my face and neck. I like to rub this product on my skin for 10-15 seconds to form the lather (not that it requires that much of time, it is just that like too much lather on my face). The great thing about this face wash is despite being a high foaming cleanser, it doesn’t dry out your skin. I have used foaming cleansers in the past and they used to leave my skin with a stretchy feeling after every use. Garnier Pure Active High Foaming face wash is nothing like them. It rather replenishes the skin giving a natural glow to it. Every time I use this face wash I feel my skin is oil-free but not dehydrated. It makes my face soft and supple. Another thing is that it takes off all the oil from my skin (I have extremely oily t-zone) thus leaving it healthy and fresh. I don not have acne-prone skin so I can’t make a remark on that part. I can say that this product has not caused me any breakout so far.

Overall, I am totally in love with this product. This is one of my HG skincare products now. Being a gel cleanser, it suits oily to combination skin perfectly. The price is within budget. I did not find a single reason to dislike this product. So far I am happy with this product.
That’s all, people! I hope you found this review helpful. Have anyone of you used this? I would love to know your views too. If you liked this post then don’t forget to share with your friends. Hope to follow my new blogging schedule. I will be here with a new post soon. Till then be safe & keep smiling!

Disclaimer: PR sample but honest review.

Hey dolls, hope you all are doing good. I just noticed that I have not posted any product reviews for a long time. So, here is one for you. I have been planning to review a body scrub for so long and now here it is. Today, I am going to review a very famous coffee body scrub from one of my favourite skincare brands that is Gia Bath & Body Works. If you are following my blog for a long time then you would know that I have reviewed their soaps once on my blog. If you have not read that post, check it now here.
Coffee may not be good for your health but it is really good for your skin. Coffee has the power to reduce tan and exfoliate efficiently. I have always wanted to make a DIY coffee scrub but I failed several times due to my laziness (guilty as charged). But, my wish came true when I found out a jar of the delicious-smelling Coffee Body Polish hiding in my Gia Bath & Body Works products. Gayatri, the owner of Gia Bath & Body Works is too kind to send a freebie with the purchased products. I am really thankful to her for she chose just the right product to surprise me. Thank you, Gayatri di 😀
Now, let’s jump into the review. Let me tell you first that I have been using the Gia Bath & Body Works Coffee Body Polish since April and loving it since my very first use.

The product comes in the plastic jar with an aluminium screw lid which is totally spill-proof. The label mentioning the name of the product, ingredients and price is attached to the jar. The appearance of the product states its handmade attribute. The sturdy plastic packaging makes it travel-friendly. The scrub is very sticky in texture. It smells of real coffee. The moment the whiff enters your nose you immediately know that you have spent on the right product. The Gia Bath & Body Works Coffee Body Polish is high in consistency thus need to be mixed with little water in order to apply evenly all over the body. Because of the intense consistency, a little amount of the product is enough for my entire body. The fragrance lingers for a long period of time which is a bonus for me.

Price: 590 INR for 150gm

The gentle yet effective sugar granules help scour out the dry skin making the skin really soft and smooth. The scrub is not harsh on your skin at all. It doesn’t irritate or dry out my normal skin. I have not experienced any type of skin allergy or side effects on my skin so far. 150 grams of product is priced 590/- which I think is totally fair for a handmade product. I have been using it for 2 months for twice a week and I think I have only finished up 30% of the product so far. So, this is absolutely a smart investment.

I am in love with this product since I started using it. When it comes to skincare we all need something that contains the right ingredients that prove to be beneficial for your skin. Gia Bath & Body works is such a brand that I can completely rely on. I would definitely suggest you to buy this scrub and to try out yourself. You can buy from their website or you can contact them on their Facebook Page to order directly or for any queries.

I hope if found this review helpful. Write in the comments if you have used any of the Gia Bath & Body Works products and why you love them. Comment below telling which is your favourite body polish/scrub so far.  I will be back again with a new post soon. Till then be safe & keep smiling!
