Hello, guys! How are you doing? This winter, I have been trying a few of moisturisers and winter care creams. I liked a couple of them and some of them did not impress me at all. So, I thought of sharing with you what I liked and simply avoid what I didn’t. In today’s post, I am going to review one of the moisturisers that I liked, that is, TBC by Nature Honey & Almond Winter Care Nourishing Cream.
Packaging- TBC by Nature Honey & Almond Winter Care Nourishing Cream comes in a pale-yellow plastic tub packaging with an orange lid. The name of the product along with all the information about the product is written on the top and the bottom of the packaging.
Texture- The texture of the TBC by Nature Honey & Almond Winter Care Nourishing Cream is neither too thick nor light-weight. It is a soft buttery consistency that absorbs easily into the skin.
Ingredients- Aloe vera extract, Almond oil, Honey, Cocoa butter, Wheat germ oil, Peptides, Ashwagandha extract, Vitamin E
My Experience with TBC by Nature Honey & Almond Winter Care Nourishing Cream
I have used this TBC by Nature Honey & Almond Winter Care Nourishing Cream for a couple of weeks to know if it suits me or not, mainly because I wanted to share a detailed review with you guys. Eventually, it has become one of my favourites as I have mentioned earlier. I am not a fan of cold creams as they make my skin greasy in the name of ‘glow’. I have had a few bad experiences with different brands previously. But, the TBC by Nature Honey & Almond Winter Care Nourishing Cream is an exception. It is definitely not the most light-weight cream I have ever used but it definitely is a fast-absorbing yet very moisturising cold cream. Although I haven’t tested the 24-hour long-lasting test (Obviously!), but it keeps the skin hydrated for a long time. The best thing about the cream is that it is free from parabens. Also, it has SPF 15 in it so you don’t need a separate sunscreen! What I don’t like about this cream is that although it does not make the skin look oily initially but with time I can observe a little bit oiliness around my t-zone. I won’t recommend this cream to those who have oily to very oily skin. Those who have combination skin can make it work in the coldest months. I think this cream is ideal for those who have very dry, flaky skin during winters. To sum up, I want to say that TBC by Nature Honey & Almond Winter Care Nourishing Cream is a great formula for the price you pay. Check out their Facebook Pagefor more.

When it comes to skincare, French brands have always ruled the market. Vichy is one of the leading French skincare brands which is not only famous in France but also across the globe. Vichy is also loved by Indian women as it has proved to be a trustworthy brand that works great for the Indian wet and dry tropical climate. I have recently switched things a little bit in my skincare routine and have included the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum in it. I have been using this serum for quite some time now so I thought of sharing a review of it with all of you. Let’s start-
Packaging- The Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum comes in a pretty blue glass bottle with a pump dispenser. The pump is protected with a clear plastic cap which closes tightly ensuring no spillage. Although the look of the product is great but it is not safe for travelling. The glass bottle has to be handled very carefully which is quite a task for me.
Texture- Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum is a whitish serum that has a thin, silicone-y texture when it comes out of the bottle but when rubbed between the fingers the texture becomes watery. Having a thin texture allows it to get absorbed easily and instantly into the skin.

How to Use- After thoroughly cleaning and toning your face, take out a small amount of the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum onto your palms and dab it onto your face. A full pump is enough for the entire face and neck area. Use it twice a day- in the morning and at the night.
My Experience with Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum
I have been using this product for almost a month now and I can definitely say that it has become the most favourite part of my winter skincare. If you have normal to dry skin or if you have combination skin that gets dry during winters then this product is for you. I use it twice a day before moisturizing my skin. Before starting off with my experience with the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum, I jus want to let you know a little bit more about my skin and its concerns. I generally have a combination skin which means normal skin with an oily t-zone. During most part of the year, it behaves like that but during winters it becomes very dry. Sometimes I observe the appearance of dry patches or skin peeling around my mouth and my nose. Last year, I had a hard time dealing with a couple of dry patches around my lips which was really irritating. I do not usually get acne on my face except for that time of the month or if I get any kind of anxiety or stress or if I skip my skincare routine which is a rare case.
The Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum is really hydrating as you can guess from the name itself. At least for my skin type, this product hydrates my face enough for it to need any extra moisturizer. Those who have very dry skin must apply a moisturizer. Although I do not skip on my moisturizer , it keeps my face moisturized for good 9-10 hours when applied on its own. As it gives a nice hydration, it can be used as a multipurpose skincare product in summers.
Not only the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum gives a surge of hydration to the skin, but it also replenishes the skin, improves the skin texture and makes it soft and supple for a long time. You can definitely notice a healthy glow on your face after using it. I won’t say that it has brought about a dramatic change to my skin but it has definitely improved it a bit. This year, I did not observe any kind of dry-patches or skin peeling on my skin which was severe last year. To add more, Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum is hypoallergenic, free from parabens, non-comedogenic, non-oily and safe for sensitive skin. The only bad thing about this product is that it contains silicone.

My Views-

My Views-

My Views on the Himalaya Herbals Winter Care Lip Balms-
Both the lip balms are extremely hydrating, the keep the lips well moisturized for hours (on my lips, they stay for approx 8 hours and survives drinks and light snacks). Hi, guys! Hope you all are doing great. If you are following me for a long time, then you would know that I am a big fan of lip balms. This is something that I can not live without. I always carry a lip balm in my purse wherever I go. I have little dehydrated lips throughout the year. My lips get dry very easily. Plus, I am a matte lipstick lover and I want my lips to look nourished and plump whenever I apply a matte lipstick or matte lip stain. Thus, I cannot think my life without a lip balm. A couple of months ago, a brand called Island Kiss sent me a package containing three of their products. Today, I am going to review those three variants. So, let’s get started.

All their products are 100% natural, pure and organic. The best thing is that their products are not tested on animals. A big yay for that! The three variants that I received are Alma Vanilla & Inges Lavender, Cherry Blossom Flores and Puerto Berry Blush. I will be reviewing each of the variants individually.
Packaging- All the three variants of the Island Kiss lip moisturisers come in plastic, squeezy tubes with a screw cap closure. The applicator part is slanted resulting in a precise and easy application. Each tube has all the information like shade name, ingredients, direction to use written on it. So, you don’t need to worry if you lose the outer packaging.

The shade is called Birth Suit Nude. It appears lilac when squeezed out but appears quite transparent on the lips.

The shade is called Berry Cheeky Tint and it is a very pigmented bright reddish pink shade.
My Experience with Island Kiss Tropique Pomade Lip Moisturizers

I have been using the Island Kiss lip moisturisers for quite some time now and I have noted a few points about them that I am going to share with you now. First of all, do not expect them to be as hydrating as any other lip balm or chapsticks. These are lip moisturisers and they provide more lustre than hydration to your lips. Unlike a lip balm or lip butter, they are really light-weight. That’s why they are good for summers but in winters they cannot moisturise the lips very well and turns dry soon. These lip moisturisers are more like lip glosses. Apart from that, I like them for their lightweight property, they smell really good, they are organic, made of natural ingredients, do not contain lead, have SPF 15 and most importantly they are cruelty-free. The variants Cherry Blossom Flores and Puerto Berry Blush are more pigmented compared to the Alma Vanilla & Inges Lavender one. Puerto Berry Blush is my favourite of them all only because of the pigmentation and texture. It is also the most long lasting among the three.
Being gel/gloss like texture, you cannot wear them underneath your matte lipstick. They are good for daily use. The plastic tube packaging makes it perfect to travel with and also very hygienic. I would not recommend these if you are looking for something to try out this winter, but they are definitely great for summers. People with extremely dry or chapped lips should avoid them. I will repurchase the Alma Vanilla & Inges Lavender and Puerto Berry Blush whenever I run out of them.

I hope you have had a great Durga Puja and Navratri. Today, I am going to talk about a new cleanser that I have been using for the past couple of weeks. It is the Organic Harvest Masseuscious Damage Control Cleanser, which the brand has recently launched. Organic Harvest, a brand that can be relied on blindfolded for their exclusive recipes of skincare and haircare products, sent the product to me to use, review and share my experience with you. After using it for more than 15 days at a stretch, I think I am now able to let you know about this product. So, let’s jump into the review-
Price- Rs 1495/- for 150ml (5.07 FL. Oz)
Packaging- Organic Harvest Masseuscious Damage Control Cleanser comes in a plastic bottle with a label on it containing all the details about the product and the company. The main attraction of this product lies within its dispensing system. It comes with a brush with ultra soft and flexible silicone bristles that is attached to a pump. This is the part that makes the cleanser most interesting.
How to Use- You have to pump it to dispense the product out of the bottle. The pump dispenses the product out through the brush-head in the form of foam. So, you don’t have to lather the product up within your palms, the entire thing is done for you. When you see the product getting out of the bottle through the brush-head, you have to apply it onto your face with the brush. It is recommended to use in upward strokes in circular motions.
My Experience with Organic Harvest Masseuscious Damage Control Cleanser-
Ever since I received this product, I have been using it twice a day. It cleanses the face quite effectively without making it dry or stretchy. The shea butter and olive oil in it make sure your skin has the perfect balance of hydration even after washing it off. The brush that the product comes with is really helpful in order to get the cleanser work on your skin. It makes sure that the strokes are gentle and your skin is not irritated throughout the cleansing process. The silicone bristles are really soft on the skin so it does not trouble any existing acne on your face. This product works nicely on oily/combination skin, it is really effective in removing excessive oil from the face, leaving it oil-free for a long time. I generally wake up with a greasy face every morning, but using this cleanser at night has made a difference. I don’t notice that much oiliness on my face when I wake up in the morning. Using this product in the morning helps me achieve a fresh look throughout the day. Although this cleanser works wonders in removing dirt and oiliness from your face, it barely does anything to reduce or remove acne. My face has been breaking out a lot lately so I can clearly tell that this cleanser has done nothing for my breakouts. I must use this for another couple of weeks and see if it prevents the appearance of acne or reduces the frequency. I will update you guys if anything like this happens.
Overall, I quite liked the Organic Harvest Masseuscious Damage Control cleanser. Being an Organic Harvest products, this cleanser has the benefit of plants so you don’t need to worry about the ingredients. The ingredients are 100% safe. The attached brush is an added benefit as it massages the product with the right amount of pressure as well as it gently exfoliates your skin while cleansing. I really liked the idea. The only thing bothered me is the price. I think it is a bit expensive for some. Other than that, I liked this product and I will recommend this to you guys.

If you are familiar with my preferences then you must have understood by now that I have a predilection for products that are made with all natural ingredients to use on my skin. Time and again, I have expressed my love for natural skincare products and I have also reviewed some of them. Recently (okay, it’s been over a month :/), I received a couple of products from Junaili which is a Nainital based skincare brand. Today, I am going to review those two products which are their Apricot Body Scrub and Oil.
Junaili, as I said is a Nainital based oil-pressery that uses 100% natural ingredients for their products. Their Apricot Body Scrubs and Oils are made of the finest apricots found in the Kumaon Himalayas. The products are totally safe for your body, they do not contain any chemicals, parabens and artificial fragrance. Their products are made in small batches to preserve quality. Now that we know about the brand, let’s jump into the review.
Junaili Apricot Body Scrub
Price- 250INR for 125g
Packaging- The Junaili Apricot Scrub comes in a plastic jar packaging with a metallic (most probably, aluminium), golden screw lid. The jar is sturdy and the lid closes tightly, striking out any chance of spillage. Here is a little trivia about their labels, their labels are hand-written and then photographed and enhanced in photoshop. How cool is that!
My Experience- As I already have said, I have been using their products continuously ever since I receive them, that is for over a month now. I use this scrub every alternate day to exfoliate my body. I use this especially for my hands and legs because those are the areas that are mostly exposed and I need exfoliate them religiously to get a smooth skin. The scrub comes in a powder form. To make the scrub ready to apply, I take out about a tablespoon of product and mix it with plain water. You can definitely use rose water or milk according to your preferences. I use plain water because I am very lazy. I hop into the shower, take some product onto my palm, mix it with tap water and apply gently, in circular motions to my damp body.Ever since I have started using this product, my whole shower experience has changed. My skin feels soft and supple after every use. My hands and legs are really dry and this scrub doesn’t make them even drier.

They have the right amount of coarseness to them so that they don’t irritate the skin.
Junaili Apricot Body Oil
Price- 600INR for 240ml, 350INR for 120ml
Packaging- The packaging of this body oil is quite similar to the scrub except for that it comes in a plastic bottle and has a stopper inside the metallic screw lid. You have to open the outer lid first and then remove the stopper to take out the product. I have made a few tiny holes on the stopper which ensures that it dispenses the product in droplets. Again, this is a spillproof packaging. Being plastic packaging, these are easy to travel with.
My Experience- Although I have a very dry body skin, I am not a lover of oils. Psychologically, the thought of letting my body come in contact with any kind of oil makes me feel disgusted. But, when I received the Apricot Body Oil by Junaili, I though to of giving it a tr only because of its ingredient. I have been using this oil daily after shower and I love how it works for me. I am glad that I tried this oil out. I like to use it after the shower, after towel drying my skin when it’s still damp. Applying it on a damp skin ensures it gets absorbed by the skin completely and also in this way it doesn’t make the skin too oily.
A regular use of this oil has made my skin softer and more smooth, especially in this time of the year when my skin needed something more. This oil has a long lasting effect on my body. It hydrates my skin for the entire day till the night which is a great thing!
Overall, I loved both the products. Using both of them together regularly has worked really well for me. I can sure see the glow it has added to my skin and also my skin feels a less dry these days. I am really happy with Junaili’s products. I like their oil more than their scrub and I might be buying another bottle for the winter. Their body oil is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, they are full of anti-aging properties and are claimed to have the power of diminishing wrinkles. They are safe for children. They have also introduced a new product which is a facial oil which I am planning to give a go. You can check out and buy their products at their merchant website. Hello, all! How are you doing? Today, I am going to talk about a facewash that has successfully made it to my morning skincare essentials. Today, I will be talking about the newly launched Medimix Ayurvedic Face Wash and how it is making my skincare routine easier.
If you follow me on my social medias (links on the right sidebar) then you already know that I have recently changed my skincare routine. You guys have seen my Snapchat stories where I showed you how I changed my morning skincare, but, I have now shifted the whole thing to night time. I’ll discuss the reason in another post.
When it comes to face washes for the morning, I always like to use something that is mild and has natural ingredients. In mornings, I need a product that cleanses my skin gently, provides hydration and removes the extra oiliness. When I received the Medimix Ayurvedic Face Wash, I was beyond happy because firstly, I have been a lover of their soaps since I was a kid, secondly, I love herbal facial cleansers and lastly, I needed something as this product to include in my morning skincare regime.

Packaging- Medimix Ayurvedic Face Wash comes in a regular plastic tube with flip cap that closes quite tightly. All the descriptions and ingredients list is printed on the tube which is really useful. Being designed a small a sturdy packaging, it is really convenient to travel with.
The Product- The product is actually a green coloured, foaming gel. The texture is exactly like a gel, a little less concentrated. You just need a pea-sized amount of the product to cleanse your entire face and neck. It lathers quite well when applied on a semi-wet face. Medimix Ayurvedic Facewash has a particular smell to it. It smells like herbs. The fragrance is very mild and goes away after washing off. As I said earlier, it is quite concentrated so, a little product goes a long way.
My Experience with Medimix Ayurvedic Face Wash
I use this face wash once a day, in the mornings. I like to wet my face first and then take a pea-size amount of the product and rub it between my palms, foam it up and then apply to the face. It instantly brings a healthy glow to my skin. I have been using it for more than a week and I can surely tell that it makes a difference. It does not cause breakouts, does not dry out my skin and provides an all day long freshness. I do not have acne, nor that I have an acne-prone skin, so I cannot tell you if it fights pimples or not. I need my morning skincare to be something extra. Medimix Ayurvedic Face Wash ensures I get that extra something.
It comes in handy when you are out and need a quick cleanup, but which will give the same effect as a full-fledged skincare routine. Like, if you are running late for work but do not want to skip your morning skincare regime, you would need this face wash. Hey guys, hope you all are doing well. Today, I will be sharing my views on a range of products that I have been enjoying using for the past few weeks. It has been almost over a month since I started using the SkinCafe lip care products that they had sent me and now I think I am ready to share my final words. I know I took a long time but, that is how I work, I take too much time to review skincare products in order to understand the pros and the cons well and share a crystal-clear view on any product.
I am a lover of handmade skincare products. It gives me a feeling that I am doing something that is the best for my skin. When I received the package from SkinCafe, I was more than excited to try them out. I got three beautiful products from SkinCafe- Choco Chip and Cookies lip scrub, English Trifle lip butter and a Strawberry Shortcake tinted lip balm. Before starting with the review, let me tell you a few words about the brand.
SkinCafe.in is a brand that makes and sells handcrafted lip care products. They have a huge range of products across three categories i.e. lip scrubs, lip butter and tinted balms. All their products are named after some popular desserts. When you go to their website you would probably think that you have come to an online patisserie (check it out yourself, here). All their products are made after you place an order ensuring that you get the freshest products every time you place an order. I really liked this. Their products are cruelty-free, vegan and free from parabens. What more one could ask for? All the ingredients they use are listed on a separate page to avoid any vagueness and to ensure that there is always clarity between the manufacturer and the buyer.
Now that we know enough of the brand, let’s jump into the review-
Packaging- I am not going to lie, the packaging is the first thing that made me excited to try out the products. Each product comes in a cute little box with the illustration of a cupcake on each of them. It can give a tough competition to any luxury confectioner. As you open the box, you notice a small glass jar that contains the product. The packaging for all their products looks exactly the same. All of them come in glass jars with a plastic lid and labels. They all come in glass jars that are biodegradable but I did not find them the best things to travel with.
SkinCafe Choco Chip and Cookies Lip Scrub

Ingredients- Cocoa Nibs, Jojoba Oil
The SkinCafe Choco Chip and Cookies lip scrub is a product that works really well for chapped lips. There was a time when I was suffering from severely chapped lips even in summers. A regular scrubbing with this Choco Chip and Cookies has helped to reduce the dryness a lot. One can definitely notice softer and plumper lips right after using the scrub. I wet my lips first and then scoop out a little of the scrub with my fingers onto my palm and then massage it very gently onto the lips. If you ever feel that the scrub is dry, which happened to me at first, you can mix a drop of olive oil or coconut oil with the scrub and then apply it. The best thing about this Choco Chip and Cookies lip scrub is that it contains very fine scrubbing particles that do not feel harsh on the lips. More than that, this scrub smells divine, exactly like dark chocolate. It’s quite impossible to not lick it once. I tried that and believe me it does not taste like dark chocolate!
I never found a lip balm that has the perfect consistency as butter in order to keep my lips hydrated for the longest time. It was only until I discovered this English Trifle lip butter from SkinCafe. This product does not only make my lips soft but also it keeps them moisturized for a long time. It stays on my lips for good 4-5 hours. Sadly, it does not survive a meal. This product has become my salve for the drier days. I would suggest you guys to try this at least once and you will know what I am trying to say. I never tried English Trifles so I don’t know what to expect from the fragrance of the product but, whatever it is, it smells good. This lip butter does not contain petroleum jelly.
SkinCafe Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients- Beeswax, Mango Seed Butter, Avocado Oil and Strawberry infusion.
The Strawberry Shortcake Lip Tint Balm from SkinCafe is supposed to be a tinted lip balm as you can tell from the name. This balm has a buttery consistency, glides on the lips smoothly making them soft and supple and adding a subtle hint of pink colour to them. The colour is not as intense as I had imagined but it’s quite natural and perfect for an everyday purpose. This balm makes my lips really hydrated. It smells exactly like strawberries!
Overall, I liked the range of products from SkinCafe. The fact that they are purely vegan, cruelty-free and free from harsh chemicals like parabens, excites me a lot to keep using them forever. I would highly recommend their products. They are worth a try. A regular use of this range of products has changed my lip care regime completely. My lips do not feel dry anymore. The price of the product may be on the higher side but they are totally worth it. If you are sceptical about trying them for the first time and also hesitating to pay such a price for a new brand, then you can try their Lip Care Combos which would be a smart choice. Each these combos contain three products from each category (scrubs, butters and tinted balms). Each combo is a set of three products of 3g each and retails at Rs 900. Moisturizing is an important part of out skincare regime that we often tend to skip during this hot and humid weather. We might feel that we don’t need that extra moisture as the skin is always sweaty and moist, but the fact is that we still need to hydrate our skin right after cleaning our face and body. Cleansers or soaps has a tendency to remove the excess oils from our face and body, sometimes leaving them dry. Adding a layer of moisturizer will ensure your skin regains the moisture that was taken away by the soap/cleanser. Himalaya Herbals Aloe & Cucumber Refreshing Body Lotion is exactly what you are looking for this summer. This product moisturizes your skin without making it greasy.

Texture and Consistency- The texture and consistency of the Himalaya Herbals Aloe & Cucumber Refreshing Body Lotion are really suitable for the summer. It is light-weight, has a lotion-y texture, not too thick nor too runny. I love it because it easily gets absorbed into the skin and does not at all feel like I have applied anything on my body.
Fragrance- This product has a very refreshing, summery scent to it. The fragrance is not overpowering and lasts long.

Overall, I liked this new launch by Himalaya Herbals. The weightlessness of this lotion makes it my favourite lotion for summers. It barely feels like a lotion when applied, thus, it does not feel greasy. I have normal to dry skin and this body lotion provides the adequate amount of hydration to my body. It makes my skin touchably soft and hydrated. The best thing about this product is that it lasts long, for almost 5-6 hours on me. It also has a mild cooling sensation to it which makes me feel fresh every time I apply it. This product is meant for all skin types but I think it won’t suffice the needs of an extremely dry skin. I wish it had some sort of SPF to it.

There was enough reasons for me to be excited about this collection. Firstly, it is designed by Masaba Gupta who is known for her unique sense of style and iconic designs. Secondly, it is really intriguing for me to use a shower gel that is claimed to be enriched with gemstone dust. A shower gel full of Aquamarine dust? How can one say no to it! Lastly, the packaging! You can’t even imagine how gorgeous it looks in the sun until you have seen it yourself. The box that the showers gels came in is uniquely designed and screams elegance and sophistication. I am totally in love with the packaging.

Packaging- Fiama Di Wills Shower Jewels Aquamarine Agleam comes in a bright teal coloured plastic bottle with a flip-open cap that closes tightly and ensures that there is no spillage. The bottle is really sturdy. There is nothing fancy about the bottles, very similar to the regular shower gels by Fiama Di Wills.
My thoughts- The product is quite iridescent blue/teal in colour and the consistency is very nice, exactly like a gel. It’s not runny, so perfect to apply. The gel lathers really well. It has a musky smell which is not very flattering to me. I wish it had a more feminine fragrance. Although the scent does not stay long on me but the freshness and clean feeling last for hours. It cleans the skin really well, leaving it soft, supple and fresh. The thing I most liked about this shower gel is that it does not leave that soapy feeling after shower unlike most of the shower gels.
I really enjoyed my bath time using the Fiama Di Wills Shower Jewel Aquamarine Agleam. I think Fiama Di Wills has done a great job with the formulation and ingredients. It claims to result in a youthful skin. I found out that this shower gel makes my skin really soft, supple and hydrated. It did not dry out my skin, unlike other shower gels. It is like a conditioner for my skin.
