My DressLink Experience and Haul

Hi, lovelies! Hope you are enjoying these rainy weather. If you are taking some time out from your busy schedule to read my post then I am sending warm hugs and hot chocolates on your way! Today, I am going to talk about an international online shopping portal called Dresslink.com that stocks a huge variety of modern women clothes and accessories that too with very affordable price tags. I am sure you would want to know more about it.

DressLink.com is very popular among women who love shopping internationally within a very limited budget. They have an array of clothes, bags, shoes, beauty accessories like makeup brushes and a lot of other ‘womanly’ stuff. The sell the most stylish formal or casual clothes, considering the ongoing trend. Thus, it is very popular among the fashion lovers. They have a great range of products across categories. Their jumpsuits and dresses are totally must-haves for your wardrobe.

Order, Dispatch and Delivery

Ordering from DressLink was really easy, just fill up your cart with your desired products and click checkout. So far as the payment options are concerned, they have options like Credit Cards, Paypal and Western Union money transfer. They ship internationally across various countries. The dispatch for my order was really quick and so was the delivery. I placed my order on May 28, it was dispatched on May 31 and I received my package on June 11. The delivery was made by Aramex and it was quite smooth. Other shipping companies that they have are FedEx, DHL, UPS, EMS and China Post.

Shipping Cost and Customs

Their products are priced at a very inexpensive rate but it isn’t the same with the shipping cost. The shipping charges may comparatively seem to be a bomb. They have a ‘free shipping’ option also. Check out this page for the same. For my order, I did not have to pay any customs.

Quality of DressLink Items

When you are planning to buy from a site that sells extremely inexpensive clothes or accessories, you certainly are sceptical about the quality. What is most common with these type of sites is the poor quality of the material used for the clothes, sizing issues and complete difference from what is displayed as a reference image. Most of the time people get a wrong sized item or cheap quality material. But with DressLink, I did not find the same. The items I bought came exactly same as it was displayed in the reference image and the sizes were true to the size chart. I am really impressed with the quality of the products.

New Obsession- Hand-Crafted Jewellery by rutuzcraftstudio

Hi, guys. Happy Friday! Hope you had an amazing week. Today, I am going to talk about an Instagram store called Rutuz Craft Studio and the products available there. Also, there is a discount code for you guys in the end of this post. So, keep reading!

I am always on Instagram, posting pictures, liking others’ and exploring pages. One of my favourite things to do on Instagram is to find stores that sell unique items, from cute phone covers to jewellery. I received these three things from them-

The technique used to make this beautiful neckpiece and bracelet is called crochet technique. It is a mesh of copper wires holding the small, pretty glass pearls. The design might look flimsy at first but that is not the face at all! Both the neckpiece and the bracelet are really sturdy and they are also very flexible. They are supposed to be moulded to the neckline and wrist in order to get the perfect shape and flawless look. The earnings have a French back closure that is great as I tend to loose all my push-backs.

The best thing about these baubles is that they can be paired with almost any type of outfit- be it western, ethnic or fusion. You can wear it to style a classy off-shoulder dress or a saree. Crafted using a minimalist design, these baubles are great for using both daytime and night time and for almost every occasion.

If you are not someone who loves to accessorise but there is some special occasion where you want to wear some jewellery then you can certainly try these out because they are very light-weight (you can’t believe until to hold them yourself, even the earrings feels heavier than the neckpiece), very minimalistic and really classy. Ethnic Workwear for Monsoon

Hello, all! It’s been a long time since I talked about fashion. So, I thought why not talk about some fashion that would be best for the upcoming monsoons. Dressing up for work in monsoons is a headache. You can’t wear anything to your office unless if you have a very cool boss! Today I’ll be talking about ethnic wears that you can add to your workwear closet. All the pieces I talked about in this post are completely budget-friendly so that you don’t have much to think about before heading to buy them. Let’s start-

Monsoon, to me, comes with a dose of fresh colours such as bright greens, yellows and blues. I can easily relate to nature- drenched with fresh shower, cool breeze and a bit of sunshine. Depending on my choice of colours, here I have picked a few of my favourite Kurtis from Rangriti that you would love to check out-

This high-low asymmetrical Kurti comes in a neon green colour which I found is perfect to brighten up a gloomy monsoon morning. Pair it up with churidar or a palazzo depending on your own preference.

Somehow, I have a leaning towards white clothes. I know it can easily get dirty on the muddy roads of India but I cannot overlook a white garment if I am shopping for myself. To me, whites are perfect for every season. Monsoons might bring frequent rainfall but you can’t ignore the humidity. So, wearing a white will be comforting for you.

Orange is again a very vibrant colour to cheer you up in a monsoon day. It’s also something that you can easily wear to work. A perfect everyday wear ethnic, isn’t it?

Yellow is another of my favourite colours for daytime dress-up. This particular colour of this Kurti has a slight neon hint to it which is making it more appealing. The white motifs are subtle and not clumsy which makes it perfect for work and also for the humid weather.

This one is my absolute favourite because of the indigo colour and simple prints. Blue is my favourite colour and I like to incorporate blue in almost everywhere. One can style this up in multiple ways, with salwars, churidars, palazzos and also maxi skirts.

SkinCafe Lip Care Range- Scrub, Butter & Tinted Balm Review

Hey guys, hope you all are doing well. Today, I will be sharing my views on a range of products that I have been enjoying using for the past few weeks. It has been almost over a month since I started using the SkinCafe lip care products that they had sent me and now I think I am ready to share my final words. I know I took a long time but, that is how I work, I take too much time to review skincare products in order to understand the pros and the cons well and share a crystal-clear view on any product.

I am a lover of handmade skincare products. It gives me a feeling that I am doing something that is the best for my skin. When I received the package from SkinCafe, I was more than excited to try them out. I got three beautiful products from SkinCafe- Choco Chip and Cookies lip scrub, English Trifle lip butter and a Strawberry Shortcake tinted lip balm. Before starting with the review, let me tell you a few words about the brand.

SkinCafe.in is a brand that makes and sells handcrafted lip care products. They have a huge range of products across three categories i.e. lip scrubs, lip butter and tinted balms. All their products are named after some popular desserts. When you go to their website you would probably think that you have come to an online patisserie (check it out yourself, here). All their products are made after you place an order ensuring that you get the freshest products every time you place an order. I really liked this. Their products are cruelty-free, vegan and free from parabens. What more one could ask for? All the ingredients they use are listed on a separate page to avoid any vagueness and to ensure that there is always clarity between the manufacturer and the buyer.

Now that we know enough of the brand, let’s jump into the review-

Packaging- I am not going to lie, the packaging is the first thing that made me excited to try out the products. Each product comes in a cute little box with the illustration of a cupcake on each of them. It can give a tough competition to any luxury confectioner. As you open the box, you notice a small glass jar that contains the product. The packaging for all their products looks exactly the same. All of them come in glass jars with a plastic lid and labels. They all come in glass jars that are biodegradable but I did not find them the best things to travel with.

SkinCafe Choco Chip and Cookies Lip Scrub

Price- Rs 950/- (9g)

Ingredients- Cocoa Nibs, Jojoba Oil

The SkinCafe Choco Chip and Cookies lip scrub is a product that works really well for chapped lips. There was a time when I was suffering from severely chapped lips even in summers. A regular scrubbing with this Choco Chip and Cookies has helped to reduce the dryness a lot. One can definitely notice softer and plumper lips right after using the scrub. I wet my lips first and then scoop out a little of the scrub with my fingers onto my palm and then massage it very gently onto the lips. If you ever feel that the scrub is dry, which happened to me at first, you can mix a drop of olive oil or coconut oil with the scrub and then apply it. The best thing about this Choco Chip and Cookies lip scrub is that it contains very fine scrubbing particles that do not feel harsh on the lips. More than that, this scrub smells divine, exactly like dark chocolate. It’s quite impossible to not lick it once. I tried that and believe me it does not taste like dark chocolate!

SkinCafe English Trifle Lip Butter

Price- Rs 850 (9g)

Ingredients- Candelilla Wax, Cocoa Butter, Sweet Almond Oil and Banana infusion.

I never found a lip balm that has the perfect consistency as butter in order to keep my lips hydrated for the longest time. It was only until I discovered this English Trifle lip butter from SkinCafe. This product does not only make my lips soft but also it keeps them moisturized for a long time. It stays on my lips for good 4-5 hours. Sadly, it does not survive a meal. This product has become my salve for the drier days. I would suggest you guys to try this at least once and you will know what I am trying to say. I never tried English Trifles so I don’t know what to expect from the fragrance of the product but, whatever it is, it smells good. This lip butter does not contain petroleum jelly.

SkinCafe Strawberry Shortcake

Price- Rs 900 (9g)

Ingredients- Beeswax, Mango Seed Butter, Avocado Oil and Strawberry infusion.

The Strawberry Shortcake Lip Tint Balm from SkinCafe is supposed to be a tinted lip balm as you can tell from the name. This balm has a buttery consistency, glides on the lips smoothly making them soft and supple and adding a subtle hint of pink colour to them. The colour is not as intense as I had imagined but it’s quite natural and perfect for an everyday purpose. This balm makes my lips really hydrated. It smells exactly like strawberries!

Overall, I liked the range of products from SkinCafe. The fact that they are purely vegan, cruelty-free and free from harsh chemicals like parabens, excites me a lot to keep using them forever. I would highly recommend their products. They are worth a try. A regular use of this range of products has changed my lip care regime completely. My lips do not feel dry anymore. The price of the product may be on the higher side but they are totally worth it. If you are sceptical about trying them for the first time and also hesitating to pay such a price for a new brand, then you can try their Lip Care Combos which would be a smart choice. Each these combos contain three products from each category (scrubs, butters and tinted balms). Each combo is a set of three products of 3g each and retails at Rs 900. Do You #Feeltheheat? So Do they!

Hi, guys! Today I thought I should talk about something different from my usual posts, something more serious and something that needs awareness.

Recently, I came across a video on #Fame. So, what happens in this video is the #Famestars empathised with the street-dwellers and vendors who are bound to stay on the roads throughout the day in this scorching summer. They Felt the Heat and understood how it feels to be in the sun, drenching in sweat, burning the skin just to earn something, no matter how small the amount is to make a living.

On 26th May 2016, the #Famestars decided to live the life of those who make their living on the roads of India, under the bare sky in this intolerable heat. Some of them sold flowers on the streets, some took over the street-food shops, some played the roles of labourers etc.

In our usual day-to-day lives, we see a lot of people around us who are street-bound just to make a living. The ignore the weather, not matter how hot or cold it is. Their life never stops for anything. Nothing is actually an obstacle for them just because they can’t indulge in luxury. We, despite being in all kind of comforts around just, are just ignorant of everything that happens outside the four walls. We come across several people on the roads- flower vendors, labourers, rickshawalas, food vendors, dabbawalas, cobblers with makeshift workstations, we feel bad about them and then we forget. In reality, we cannot do anything for them. They have chosen this job and they do earn by the end of the day. The only thing we can do for them is to show some compassion. Whenever you ride a rickshaw, offer him water. Remember, it is the small things that make a difference. We are nothing without them.

Moroccanoil Smoothing Hair Spa Experience

Hey, guys! If you remember my recent Snapchat stories then you must know that I have been to the Radiance Salon last week to try the Moroccanoil Hair Smoothing Spa using the amazing products from the new Moroccanoil Smooth range. I had promised you guys to write down my experience on the blog and now I am here with it.

Moroccan Argan oil is something that needs no introduction. Argan oil is produced from the kernels of Argan tree that grows mainly in South-Western part of Morocco. Argan oil is great for your skin and hair that it is popularly called liquid gold. With each use of Argan oil, rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, results in soft, smooth and glowing skin and hair.

Moroccanoil is a brand that pledges to transform beauty industry with all their hair care products infused with genuine Argan oil. Recently they had invited me to try their Smoothing Hair Spa treatment using the new Smooth range. Read to know all the steps to beautiful hair-

As I stepped into the salon, I was seated by the very polite staff and then offered water and beverages which I found really sweet. Then I was introduced to the expert (I forgot his name. I always forget names :/) who was about to turn my unruly mane into beautiful tresses.

Hair Smoothing Spa Treatment Using Moroccanoil Smooth Range: The Process-

The process started with examining my hair. The expert told me that I have a combination hair type- oily scalp and frizzy hair. He advised me to use two different shampoos- one for the scalp and another for the hair. After he was done with examining my hair, he went straight ahead to wash my hair.

Step 1: My hair was washed thoroughly using the Moroccanoil Smoothing Shampoo. It felt so nice because of the mild fragrance it contained.

Step 2: My stylist mixed some drops of Moroccanoil Treatment Oil with the Moroccanoil Smoothing Mask and made a mask according to the thickness and length of my hair. He then divided my hair into sections and applied some amount of the mask to each section very carefully. He made sure that the product does not go up to the scalp.

Step 3: He then started massaging my head which felt so relaxing and rejuvenating that I almost fell asleep. The massaging ensures that the product is distributed evenly and it also helps in improving the blood circulation which boosts hair growth.

Step 4 (Optional): The fourth step was a 3 minutes steam which my stylist said is not necessary with Moroccanoil products making it convenient for using at home.

Step 5: My hair was rinsed again using the same smoothing shampoo and then my stylist used a pump of the Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream and applied thoroughly to the lengths of my hair to protect my hair from the heat of the blow dryer.

Step 6: Finally, my hair was blow-dried and set to step out of the salon.

I totally loved the experience from start to finish. The way my hair felt after the treatment is inexplicable. It made my hair visibly and touchably soft, airy and really bouncy. My hair smelt divine after the treatment.Moroccanoil treatments do not require steam so you can try it at home. The products are a little expensive but they are totally worth the price you pay. The difference is visible after the first use. Moroccanoil products are free from harsh chemicals like sulphates, phosphates and parabens which makes them safe to use, unlike other haircare products. My hair felt so shiny, soft, silky, smooth and frizz-free. The effect lasted on my hair for the entire week until the next wash. Even after washing my hair off a few days after the session, it felt soft and smooth. I really loved the whole experience. I would suggest you to give this treatment a try. You will definitely love it.

Hi, guys! Today I am here with another review. Himalaya Herbals has recently launched a body lotion that claims to be a lightweight, soothing, refreshing and at the same time hydrating. Let’s see if the Himalaya Herbals Aloe & Cucumber Refreshing Body Lotion is actually true to its claims.

As summer is here with all its glory and intensity, we all are hunting for the most lightweight skincare and makeup products, aren’t we? Moisturizing is an important part of out skincare regime that we often tend to skip during this hot and humid weather. We might feel that we don’t need that extra moisture as the skin is always sweaty and moist, but the fact is that we still need to hydrate our skin right after cleaning our face and body. Cleansers or soaps has a tendency to remove the excess oils from our face and body, sometimes leaving them dry. Adding a layer of moisturizer will ensure your skin regains the moisture that was taken away by the soap/cleanser. Himalaya Herbals Aloe & Cucumber Refreshing Body Lotion is exactly what you are looking for this summer. This product moisturizes your skin without making it greasy.

Ingredients- Aqua, Glycerin, Acrylates Copolymer, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Cucumis Sativus Fruit Extract, Stearic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol & Cetearyl Glucoside, Cetyl Palmitate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Isopropyl Myristate, Cetyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Stearate, Dimethicone, Fragrance, Menthyl Lactate, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Tocopheryl Acetate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Propylparaben, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, CI19140, CI42053.

Packaging- The Himalaya Herbals Aloe & Cucumber Refreshing Body Lotion comes in a white plastic bottle with a teal coloured flip-open plastic cap that closes tightly. The packaging is totally spill proof and travel-friendly. There is nothing exceptional about the packaging, it is like the patent Himalaya Herbals packaging.

Texture and Consistency- The texture and consistency of the Himalaya Herbals Aloe & Cucumber Refreshing Body Lotion are really suitable for the summer. It is light-weight, has a lotion-y texture, not too thick nor too runny. I love it because it easily gets absorbed into the skin and does not at all feel like I have applied anything on my body.

Fragrance- This product has a very refreshing, summery scent to it. The fragrance is not overpowering and lasts long.

May not suit someone with very dry skin.
Does not contain SPF.

Overall, I liked this new launch by Himalaya Herbals. The weightlessness of this lotion makes it my favourite lotion for summers. It barely feels like a lotion when applied, thus, it does not feel greasy. I have normal to dry skin and this body lotion provides the adequate amount of hydration to my body. It makes my skin touchably soft and hydrated. The best thing about this product is that it lasts long, for almost 5-6 hours on me. It also has a mild cooling sensation to it which makes me feel fresh every time I apply it. This product is meant for all skin types but I think it won’t suffice the needs of an extremely dry skin. I wish it had some sort of SPF to it.
