Cosmicare Gold Facial Kit Review

Hi, guys! Sorry for being MIA. I was actually trying to focus on my YouTube channel for the past few weeks and that’s the reason why blogging had taken a backseat. Today, I am going to review a facial kit that I have been using since February and I loved it. Today’s product of focus is Cosmicare Gold Facial Kit.

Due to our busy schedule and fast lifestyle, we tend to miss out on several things especially self-pampering. Our skin needs some sort of maintenance that helps it keep healthy and glowing. That’s why you need to go for a facial in at least every 15 days but, that never happens because we cannot take out time and secondly the facials hat your salon offers are quite expensive. This is the reason why I like to buy my facial kits and do at-home facials. It’s convenient, cheap and gives the same result as a salon treatment will give. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that you are doing the massage strokes right. There are several videos on YouTube that show you what are the right facial strokes. Now, let’s jump into the review part.

Gold Nourishing Cleanser

Take an appropriate amount of cleanser and apply evenly on clean, wet face. Then gently massage in circular and outward strokes for 5 minutes and rinse off with water or wipe off using moist cotton.

Gold Exfoliating Scrub

Ingredients: Propylene Glycol, Glycerine, Stearic Alcohol, Liquified Light Paraffin Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Mono Stearate, Walnut shell powder, Sandalwood extract, Cetocetyl Alcohol, 2 Phenoxy Ethanol, Propyl Paraben, EDTA, Methyl Paraben, Gold Dust, Perfume, Aqua.

Take an appropriate amount of the scrub and apply evenly on clean, wet face. Then gently scrub with feather-like circular and outward strokes for 5 minutes and rinse off with water.

Gold Moisturizing Massage Cream

Ingredients: Liquified Light Paraffin Oil, Bees Wax, Cetyl Alcohol, Sandalwood extract, Glyceryl Mono Stearate, E. Wax, Glycerine, Borax, Propyl Paraben, EDTA, Methyl Paraben, Gold Dust, Paraben, Aqua.

Take an appropriate amount of this cream and apply on face and neck. Gently massage till the cream is absorbed in the skin.

Gold Balancing Pack

Ingredients: Kaolin, E. Wax, Zinc Oxide, Gum Acacia, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose, Allantoin, Sandalwood extract powder, Hydroxy Ethyl Cellulose, 2 Phenoxy Ethanol, Propyl Paraben, Methyl Paraben, Perfume, Aqua.

Protect the hairline with folded tissues. Apply this pack in a thick layer over the face and neck area with fingertips. Avoid the eye area and leave it till it dries off. To clean, use plain water.

How to Use Cosmicare Gold Facial Kit

Step 4: Protect the hairline with folded tissues. Apply this pack in a thick layer over the face and neck area with fingertips. Avoid the eye area and leave it till it dries off. To clean, use plain water.

My Experience with Cosmicare Gold Facial Kit

As I said earlier, I have been using this facial kit for a long time now and seen how well my skin responds to it. First, I want to talk about the quantity of each product. I have used this kit thrice and there is still some product left in each tube. So, the quantity is right for the price you pay. It adds a natural glow to my face without making it oily. It’s like a healthy glow that appears from within. It did not irritate my skin and did not cause acne. I have a combination skin that becomes sensitive seasonally. Overall, I found it great for any occasions like a wedding or any party. I would suggest you use this facial kit two days prior to the event.

Makeup is an integral part of my life. It’s not that I do makeup on a daily basis but most of the time when I am heading out, I like to do some makeup no matter how basic it is. If not a full face makeup, I cannot skip my kajal and lipstick and some compact if necessary. As much as I love doing makeup, I love taking it off at the end of the day. Packaging- Brillare Micellar Water Mist comes in a transparent plastic spray bottle. The label on the bottle consists of all the information about the product. The bottle comes inside a cardboard packaging that bears every information about the product.

Ingredients- Aqua, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Hexylene Glycol, Capryloyl Glycine, Xylityl Glucoside, Caprylic/Capric Glucoside, Glycerine, Adenosine Triphosphate, Carica Papaya (Papaya) fruit extract, Phenoxyethanol, Algin, Sodium Hydroxide, Ectoin, Disodium Edta, Amyris Balsamifera Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia fruit oil, Ribes Nigrum Bud Extract, Pelargonium Graveolens oil, Eugenia caryophyllus Bud Extract,, Cananga Odorata flower oil.

How to Use- Spray 4 to 5 pumps on a fresh cotton pad. Wipe off impurities with cotton pad pressed gently against the skin and with upward/downward cleaning strokes for entire face including eyelid. Rinsing off the face is not required.

My Experience with Brillare Micellar Water Mist

As I mentioned earlier, I am very particular about my makeup removal routine. No matter how tired I am, I never ever go to bed with makeup on. I always go for a makeup remover that is very mild and gentle on the skin and that doesn’t cause tugging and pulling of the skin because that might result in premature ageing and appearing of fine lines.

I have been using this Brillare Micellar Water Mist since December and I just love it. I used to use a bi-phase makeup remover (that contains water and oil) and it worked great for my makeup, especially heavy-duty waterproof eye makeup, but since I got my hands on this Micellar Water Mist, I haven’t looked back. One thing I really appreciate about the packaging is that they have made it a spray bottle, unlike any other brands. The spray nozzle assures you don’t use excess product or waste product.

How I like to use it is, spray twice (for light to medium makeup, thrice for heavy and waterproof makeup) on a cotton pad and press and swipe it along my face. For my eyes and lips, I like to press that cotton pad there for 10-15 seconds and then wipe it out. That process is followed by a gentle face wash. You can also use it when you are not wearing makeup. Let me tell you how. You can make it the first step of your skincare. Just take one spray on a cotton pad and swipe it across your face just to get rid of any traces of dirt and sweat off your face. It has glycerine so it will add some kind of hydration to your face and also take care of your skin.

It is also free from paraben, formaldehyde, artificial fragrance and colour.

Step-by-Step Demo-

Step 1: Spray some product on a cotton pad.

Step 2: Swipe it across wherever you need.

Step 3: Swipe away any other remainings with the other side of the cotton pad.

Overall, I really liked this product and will certainly repurchase. It could be a perfect substitute for the Bioderma Micellar Water but in a much lesser price tag.

My Experience with Imiana House African Cocoa Butter Soap

My body feels very, very dry during winters so, I need to choose my bath products really wisely. Recently, I got to try the African Cocoa Butter Soap from the brand called Imiana House. I have been loving this soap lately. Here are the reasons for that-

Imiana House African Cocoa Butter Soap is free of chemicals, artificial fragrance and synthetic colours. It is made of 100% natural and pure essential oils which is a big YAY for me! It’s introduced as a luxurious handmade soap in their website and the packaging does justice to it. The black paper packaging with a red seal gives it a very luxurious look with minimalism.

Imiana House African Cocoa Butter Soap is a dark brown coloured product with white marble effects on it. When I first sniffed it, it smelt like spices. I expected the aroma to be of chocolates but it wasn’t. The fragrance is very mild as they do not use any artificial scents. This soap is not something that will fill your bathroom with some exquisite aroma.

The soap lathers up really well. It cleanses your skin deeply yet it doesn’t dry it out. It is suitable for any skin type. The soap lasts for a good amount of time. You can even cut the soap in half, use one half and stock the other. The size of the soap is pretty big.

The only downside, I think, is the price of the product. I understand that they are made of exotic, pure and natural ingredients but it is quite a big amount.

I am really choosy when it comes to my hair care products. The sole reason behind this is that my hair troubles me a lot. It’s dry, damaged, frizzy and lifeless. I have been using them for quite some time now and I think this is the best thing that could happen to my hair. Read to know why.

Brillare Power Repair Shampoo comes in a no-fuss clear plastic bottle with a metallic screw cap. I loved the packaging because I love minimal packaging in skincare and haircare products plus, it allows me to check on the quantity of the product left.

The shampoo is very light, something I’ve never tried before. It isn’t much concentrated so it doesn’t lather up much. But, it’s enough to clean your hair. The shampoo has a mild floral scent which is very soothing. After washing my hair with the shampoo, my hair felt really soft, clean and healthy.

My Review of the Speaking Tree Essential Oils:

I have been using these two essential oils for over a week now and I think I should share my views with you. There are various ways of using these essential oils but there are two particular ways in which I am using them for me. I take 2 drops of the Lemon Essential Oil on to my palm and press it gently against my skin right after washing and toning the skin. I am doing this step twice a day and I can notice a change in the appearance of my skin. The dullness of my skin is now gone and it appears brighter than before. This oil is a dry oil so it does not make my skin greasy.

I do not like peppermint smell but when I get migraines, the same smell seems very calming and refreshing to me. If you get frequent migraine attacks like me then first see a doctor and start medication and while it starts paining use this peppermint essential oil instead of popping a pill. What I like to do is, I take some oil in the roller applicator and rub it gently on my temples. It gives a great relief from the pain and from the stress too.

You can also burn these oils in a diffuser and it will act as a stress buster. You will calm your nerves and destress you instantly. Or, just add a few drops in a bucket of water or in your bath to relax after a long, hectic day.

Using Oval Brushes for the First Time | Ft. WiseShe Oval Brushes

The use of makeup brushes has been increased a lot in the past few years. We have been witnessing the arrival of the different type of makeup applicators. From regular brushes to beauty blenders, wedges, silicon sponges and now the oval brushes. With the birth of different makeup techniques, different types of applicator have also been noticed. Today, in this post, I will be reviewing the two WiseShe Oval Brushes that I received recently.

What are Oval Brushes?

Oval brushes are a type of makeup applicators that have been designed to do your own makeup, unlike the regular makeup brushes that are meant for doing makeup on others. These brushes look quite similar to toothbrushes, and they have denser bristles. The design of the brushes ensures a precise and comfortable application.

A Little Bit about WiseShe

WiseShe Oval Brush collection is a venture by Anamika Sureka, a veteran beauty blogger in India. She has a very popular beauty blog named WiseShe where she writes amazing articles and reviews on beauty and makeup products.

WiseShe Oval Brushes Packaging:

The brushes I got are directly from the owner as a PR kit. Anamika wanted to have a first-hand experience from blogger so she sent me and some other bloggers PR kits containing the brushes. Now, that PR kit is definitely not the final packaging that is going to hit the market. The PR package is a decorative gift box inside which the brushes came.

The brushes are like regular oval brushes with plastic handles. There were no name or number written on the brushes so you cannot tell which brushes are for what unless you are experienced enough. I believe they will be adding that up when they are ready to hit the market.

Price:

The price of the brushes is yet not disclosed.

My Experience with WiseShe Oval Brushes:

I received two brushes in my box. One of them is a foundation/powder basically a base makeup brush and the other one is a precise thin brush that could be used to smudge your kohl or apply eyeshadow on the lower lashline.

Both of the brushes have very soft bristles. The foundation brush applies cream and liquid foundations/BB/CC creams really evenly and flawlessly. It can be used to powder your face too. I used the smaller, thin brush to smudge kohl on the lash line and to fill in my eyebrows and it does both the jobs very well.

The best thing about these brushes is that they have not shed for a single time not even while getting washed. Great job, Anamika!

Overall, I really enjoyed using oval brushes for the first time. I think it makes it easier to apply makeup on your face, especially foundation. The unique design allows you to comfortably apply makeup and it takes less time than usual to blend everything. I can see myself using WiseShe oval brushes more often.

Today, I am going to talk about a brand that has come up with a ready to use sandalwood face pack which is 100% natural. I’m talking about Indus Valley Bio Organic Sandalwood Face Pack.

Description- Indus Valley Bio Organic Sandalwood Face Pack soothes and nourishes dry and normal skin. Sandalwood is obtained from the trees of the genus Santalum. It retains its fragrance for a long time. It is known to reduce sunburn and inflammation. The combination of sandalwood with Multani mitti tends to offer an extraordinary cooling effect that refreshes the skin. Almond and calamine provide necessary moisturizing properties which help to improve complexion and texture of skin. Regular use is known for getting anti-wrinkle effects.

Ingredients- Sandalwood powder, Multani mitti, Calamine powder, Almond powder and aroma.

Packaging- Indus Valley Bio Organic Sandalwood Face Pack comes in a powder form packaged inside a sealed plastic bag which is placed inside a regular cardboard box with all the details about the product. I wish they considered modifying the packaging a little bit. Once you cut open the plastic bag there is no way to seal it again. This allows air to enter the package and adulterate the natural ingredients.

Directions to use- Mix 1 tablespoon of Sandalwood Face Pack with rose water or fresh water to make a paste. Apply it evenly on the face & neck. Allow it to dry. Wash the face with fresh water.

My Experience with Indus Valley Bio Organic Sandalwood Face Pack

I have been using Indus Valley Bio Organic Sandalwood Face Pack for a couple of weeks now. I like to use it twice a week. Every time I use it, it leaves my skin hydrated and adds a healthy glow to it. I have seen this pack prevents seasonal acne and makes the skin very soft and supple. As it is rich in natural ingredients, I can completely trust that it won’t harm my skin. 1 tablespoon of the product is enough for your entire face and neck, thus a little goes a long way. It also diminishes the signs of fatigue from the face.
